The Red Dead Redemption 2 Beta Hunt

Hello ladies and gents! As you know, Dan Houser (writer of this game and pretty much every Rockstar game) has confirmed 5 hours of content has been cut from the game.

As Dan says "At one point, protagonist Arthur Morgan had two love interests, but 'we decided one of them didn’t work and whole missions were removed because they were never going to work technically or be quite slick enough, or they felt superfluous. We removed a mission on a train where you had to deal with bounty hunters, because it was fun at first, but then it wasn’t. This part of the process is always about compromise and horse trading. Everyone always loses bits of the game they love."

Now the question is WHAT ELSE was removed from the game? Horses from Online being originally in single player maybe? We'll find out soon enough.

This game will have a sh*t ton of Beta content.....

 

The final script for Red Dead Redemption 2’s main story was about 2,000 pages. But if he were to include all the side missions and additional dialogue, and stack the pages, Dan estimates the pile “would be eight feet high.” Bringing the script to life meant 2,200 days of motion-capture work — compared with just five for Grand Theft Auto III 

 

Even the non-playable characters have 80-page scripts each.

Sorry I dont understand what does this have to do with a beta? I thought this thread would be about playing the online beta early if there is one for rdr2 owners.

 

As for the cut content i just wondered if "technical issues" actually referred to the size of gamediscs and the game not fitting onto the disc because it was too big. They could have given the additional content as a title update or maybe it will be single player dlc

 

As for online, the way this goes is probably they are going to add new things and then not put them into the single player (AGAIN!!!) so i hope the single player as we get it will have everything good already included day1 I dont care that much for horse skins but like a permanent home/farm/camp would be nice and pets.

GTAF beta hunt threads are about finding cut content, unused content, screens and footage of development versions of the game, etc etc. The thread has nothing to do with RDO.

I'm talking about cut content from Single Player and Red Dead Online. I'm not talking about the upcoming Red Dead Online open beta BUT that could also have content not present in the full release of Red Dead Online so keep an eye on it

So not sure if actually beta, but several scenes in the trailers are set in COMPLETELY different areas. The" I'll keep her in black on your behalf " takes place in a different area, the" you will die, savagely " scene takes place in Blackwater in the trailers but takes place by a river in game and the" you'll never change, I know that " scene takes place at Mary's house in the trailers but at a train station in game.

Rockstar is sure about 5 hour cut love story missions?

Also with train shootout.

 

Because im played this mission today. That is still exist in the game. Missions are so boring

I forgot their names that love story between blonde girl and guy named bau or boue. In the last mission, boue's cousins tries to chase us all when we are in the train
