I honestly felt sorry for Gracie being kidnapped by Niko and Packie. Rocco also died in GTA V. Let’s face it. Both of these characters are real. He's so memorable, he has great lines, makes you crack up. I dont know why R* had to kill him off. They're were trying to be edgy or some sh*t. I love how overtly racist and cocky he is and he doesn't give a sh*t. As for Gracie the only thing i appreciate about her is I lol'ed when Niko punched her in the face. it was one of the most unexpected things I've ever seen in a GTA game along with Stubbs' two second dick cameo in TLAD. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

People say she's spoiled and terrible etc but based on what, because she likes to party and has a slightly annoying voice? I especially don't get it if it's just based on IV, she literally just gets kidnapped and tries to fight her kidnappers and escape, that's it. I think they wanted us to find her hateable from her personality but they didn't succeed in it, just being a slightly shallow party girl shouldn't be reason to have violent hate for her. I get why her fighting and trying to crash the car would stress Niko out but he's dealt with much worse people and kept his cool and it seems like he already detests her before that, despite tolerating three girlfriends who are just as shallow and annoying as her if not worse. A bit of poor writing there I'd say, they should've given her some seriously hateable/evil qualities (eg maybe if she was an active part of the crime family and had done horrible things to others) if they didn't want us to feel sorry for her when all we see is her getting kidnapped/abused. I wish she made an appearance in V or got a mention at least. f*ck only knows what happened to her after the whole diamond ordeal...I normally do the Gracie random encounter post story and fail it on purpose..Niko's dangerous life finally catching up to him.. it's a Fatal and bitter end.. but totally deserving.. Loved Rocco's reappearance in V. Beating the absolute sh*t outta him was very satisfying, But it should of been Luis giving the ass whooping.. if Michael caused that much damage to Mr Pelosi imagine what LC cage fighting champion Luis Lopez woulda done.. anyway great characters 10/10 love to hate em Link to post Share on other sites

Niko doesn't really seem to like his shallow girlfriends (not counting Kate and Michelle before the betrayal) much either, he doesn't really want to start anything serious with any of them and calls out their bs regulary. I don't think it's completely out of character that he punched her in that situation, after all he has no problem harming people when necessary, and it was partly to keep both of them safe since she was grabbing the steering wheel. Although later slapping her in the face unprovoked while she was tied up was definitely a bit much. It's more the way the whole kidnapping and being held hostage is framed, they intended for her to be so dislikable that we don't feel sorry for her and it's just funny and even that she deserves it. But I don't think they made her nearly dislikable enough for that and I do feel sorry for her. I do enjoy the dark humour in a lot of it, but it would've worked better if they'd made her properly hateable/evil/a threat rather than pretty much just an innocent victim who happens to have a criminal for a dad and be slightly annoying. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

With that said I definitely wish she would’ve returned in V as some sort of minor character... heck, if she were to replace Antonia Bottino when we had to save her from getting buried alive, it would make sense. Then the Ancelotti’s would be giving the $60000 to the protagonist who saved her. Any convo between Gracie and Trevor or Franklin would’ve been funny as well. And I thought it was fitting for Rocco to die the way he did. He was in over his head this whole time and it took Michael to finally whack him. Link to post Share on other sites
