Could someone tell me if pedestrians compliment the Mamba, Ellie, Tampa, Jester Classic, Comet Retro Custom, Cheetah Classic, Infernus Classic, Dominator GTX, Elegy Retro Custom, Torero, Hustler, Nightshade, SC1, Revolter, Voodoo Custom, Hermes, Omnis, Banshee 900R, Deluxo, 190z, Hotring Sabre, Ruiner 2000, Stromberg or Yosemite? I know it's a trivial thing but I've always liked that nice touch of realism and if someone could take any of these around peds and tell me, it'd be much appreciated. Thank you for that. Kinda strange how nobody compliments the Hermes, Shelby Mustang or the Skyline. Maybe with mods I could change the values so they do. It's also interesting how the regular Comet gets complimented but when it turns into the Retro it no longer grabs attention, whereas the Banshee has the opposite effect. Who determines these values? I don't know but I don't think they did a very good job when it comes to what's cool and what's not. *ALSO* I completely forgot to ask if peds compliment the Casco. Jeep Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) I have had NPCs compliment and take photographs of standard street cars, though it does seem they will compliment a standard Felon more than a standard Emperor. I seem to remember reading that one of the checks considers overall value of the car - how much money has gone into it, plus its base value. So, working off of that, I'd vote that anything worth more than a few thousand dollars would get the compliments. Will take a few of my low-end cars out for a spin and keep an ear out for you. Addendum: Yeah, went in-game, sat around in my Emperor, got compliments. Same thing for my Chino and Regina. I will also add that, from time to time, NPCs seem to say these lines when there's no nearby players in vehicles, though I figure two cases can explain this. One, they're set up to comment on a player's vehicle by only checking if the player has an active car, or two, they respond to parked and NPC-driven vehicles as well as player-owned. My conclusion is that NPCs will comment on any vehicle as long as it matches some behind-the-scenes criteria, which seems to be tied to overall value of the vehicle. The cars that NPCs compliment (I tested all of them out) are the Super class, Dukes, Z-Type, Sabre Turbo, Stallion, Fugitive, Chino, Virgo, Coquette Blackfin, standard Coquette, Dubsta, Rocoto, 9F, Roosevelt, Carbonizzare, Jester and maybe a couple others I can't remember right now, but I know that the aforementioned Emperor, Felon and Regina do not receive any in console SP no matter how many upgrades they receive. Maybe PC/Online have different mechanics or maybe they heard them compliment other NPCs driving the "nice" cars. Someone on a thread I made years ago said there's a "swankness" line of code in the vehicle files and that if the value is a 5, NPCs will compliment it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No amount of modifications would make a non-"nice" car "nice" in custom form. I don't know about Online but I'd venture to guess it carried over.
