IVCavalcade Posted October 9, 2018 Share Posted October 9, 2018 So this one is a bit random: we've all seen the common promo bugstar van keyring, but mine has a bit of a twist. A while back I was buying some rockstar merch from a guy on eBay - the descriptions said "rockstar employee having clearout" or something. Eager to hear some stories I asked about his job and we exchanged a few messages - turns out he's worked there for 21 years - GTA 2 was his first full game and he's involved in design. I asked if he was involved in merch design at all, and he told me that while the designers in his team aren't directly involved with merch, a lot of their designs end up being used for promo items. He personally had designed the logo used for the Bugstar Keyring and offered to sign it for me before sending it out. He wasn't selling this or anything else signed on his page, it was only through me asking about his work that this happened. He only charged £20 so wasn't using his signature to make money. Of course I accepted. Anyway, here is it, and while it's not 100% verifiable that he created the logo, he seemed very genuine, and it's an unusual thing to lie about lol. I doubt it's worth any more than it is it without the signature, but it's special to me. We've agreed to have a length chat on Skype or something soon.
