How to stop F5, F6, F7 and F8 from switching character

I have recently downloaded the menyoo mod for GTA V. The mod controls states that to open the trainer, you press F8. However, whenever I press it, it tries to switch to my online character. Obviously, with GTA it doesn't let you access GTA Online with mods anymore, so it immediately kicks me.

So, what I'm really trying to figure out is how to stop the F buttons from switching your character. If anyone has the solution to this, please reply.

 

(Note: my laptop is one of those funny ones where the F buttons i.e. change the volume or brightness, so I have to hold shift whilst doing so.)
