Social Club website updates

IMO they are ass. Can't find crew stats. Posts go to random places. The colors suck hind teet.

 

I quit visiting the website almost completely. Anyone else having a hard time liking the new design?

I actually love it. Way better on mobile. I don't bother with crew stats or posting things though so idk how that is.

I don't use it on momobile but it does look good on the front page. I use it more for keeping in touch with the crew and for crew stats.

Well I mostly use it on mobile too and I prefered the old design.

This one feels to clunky with the new drop down menus.

Yea I find it a bit of a mess. Also my online stats on the SC page are borked compared to my ingame stats. Always have been though.

This was the worst trade deal in history of trade deals. Literally my first reaction to the new Social Club was "excuse me, what the f*ck."

 

The change was completely unneeded and unnecessary, there was nothing wrong with the previous design and not everything needs to be updated layout-wise just because everyone's doing it these days. The removal of some features was unnecessary too. Crew info was completely decimated, "Snapmatic" is now a boring "Photos". I mean, really?

 

Not to mention the desktop site now looks like a mobile site, which, along with the need to make everything a circle, is something that I absolutely despise with modern websites.

 

This is definitely going to take time to get used too.

Looks great on mobile devices. Shame a few features were gotten rid of, but my favourite part? I can actually now see who likes my jobs!

This new layout reminded me why I loathe infinite scroll sites so much. Social Club has become so painfully cluttered with useless info that takes far too much space, I think I'll just change my browser starting page link to my Online character's profile or news instead of the main RGSC page. What a mess.

I understand modernizations have to be made, and websites must look good and be operational on mobile devices, but this looks like R* hired clueless idiots who designed that abomination called Windows 8. It's so bad.

they updated the site yet part of it still broke for me, like the messages notification, i have had a "8 new messages" notification on for almost 2 years

Its a classical violation in big companies. Some people have to change stuff to try and make it look like they’re doing something (when their role was created a bit on a whim in the first place) whether said change is really necessary or not.

I liked new design,it is looks very nice than old:) About stats well it's not shows anymore.I guess R logic was for making new design of site that all should be simple and minimalistic

I'm all for simple and minimalist design but the point of a website is to be functional first and foremost. This new site has lost functions and the lack of stats is a crucial problem. My only reason to check Social Club was to check the stats and progress and that's been hampered significantly by this new design. Very disappointed to see this happen especially considering how unnecessary it was. 

 

Rockstar support is a total disgrace in and of itself so there's probably no recourse or solution on the way here. Again, I'm all for new design, but test your product for quality assurance before releasing it. There's no reason for these problems to be happening.

I literally went to go check my social club after seeing this thread and my initial thought was "OH GOD, WHY?"

literally the first page was just posts like "this friend thinks this job rocks!" and they weren't even player made ones, just contact missions

Why the f*cking heck I can't see the leaderboards anymore when browsing through races?? Damn I wasn't bothered by the changes until I've realized this. That's almost the only reason for me to visit the Social Club's website, aside from checking out for updates, and they just remove it like that??

 

Someone please tell me that they didn't actually got rid of the leaderboards, that can't be true

I don't know if I like them or not yet. I noticed they still haven't fixed the notifications about messages that don't seem to exist, and are probably from people that have blocked me.

A bunch of people have adapted and have come to terms with the new layouts for GTAF

 

Same thing applies to the r* social club. Give it some time, you will get used to it. I hated it at first, but I'm pretty cool with it now.

also you can't browse playlists any more.. old layout had all essential content in one page. now you need to look for it and run into even more mess.

I'm beginning to get used to it, but there was still no reason whatsoever to make those unnecessary changes. 

 

@WildBrick142 Snapmatic was most likely changed to Photos because it will be used to showcase images from both GTAO and RDR2.

anyway, searching for Crew is much better and easier, my Crew that grew a lot back in time but at a some time 2016-2017 when they updated sc and made it harder to find Crew but now that they've fixed it all my 3 global Crew grows on a of them I received 22 new members in a week, Sry for bad english
