Questions for griefers!

Dear Griefers,

Do you care if your target has cargo/goods?

Do you do it for your K/D stat, or do you enjoy knowing you are messing up someone else’s game progress?

When you blow up someone, do you feel powerful?

Why is your character dressed like a serial killer from a horror movie?

Why do you literally spend your whole session airborne on your op mkii?  Don’t you get bored?

1) No, i don´t care. I attack who is closest to me. I am not the guy who comes to you from the other side of the map to destroy your sh*t when i have enough other guys to kill near me.

2) Most of the time i fight players who fight themselves, so there is not much progress i destroy. I don´t care about my K/D stat since this thing doesn´t tell much in gta anyways.

3) My character is dressed pretty normal nowadays, aside from a motorcycle helmet, to stay low-profile.

4) I don´t even own a malaria bike anymore. I started to learn and master helicopters in 2015 and since then i use helicopters most.  I guess i become pretty darn good at it. I also play on ground from time to time.

If your a low level I will probably feel bad, sometimes right away, sometimes it takes a while for me to realize I went to far. If your level 300+ your fair game. I only use laser or hydra if you really pissed me off. Often I will kill you and toy with you but not blow your sh*t up.

Mostly boredom honestly.

No I don't feel powerful, my sh*t gets blown up all the time. Honestly it's more so to provoke a fight assuming your level 300+.

I try my best to make my character look like a low level Italian Mafia member.

I use aircraft off all kinds, mkll against other tryhards, I like to dogfight with my pyro and laser, I fight on the ground a lot too im not always in the air.

My gonads inflated like giant balloons just reading about your discomfort.

What is even the point of this thread?

The more you tell griefers about the problems they are causing you, the more their giant gonads will inflate to bursting point. There's nothing you can do about griefers except become one yourself, as this is what GTA is and has become.

Friend of mine f*cks other sales up once in a while because his sells got f*cked up.

And no, they're not the same people he goes after.

Strange kind of revenge.

^^ The world is such a f*cked up place that when we want to relax and have fun we go online and f*ck up other people's sh*t, or at least try to. Personally, I take a shower, eat some food, cuddle one of my kids or pets, and do something that makes ME feel good, and then get all pissy again when someone attacks me out of the blue, followed by an hour of grumpy session rampaging. So stupid, we live on such a retarded planet filled with retarded human beings :D.

Dear Rockstar, thanks for providing us with five years of ripe entertainment, but please f*ck off now for introducing the Oppressor Mk II.

Not a griefer (at least not one who destroys cargo) but eh, I have met many griefers that I think I can give an answer based on their behaviour.

Dear Griefers,

There's not much dear about them.

1 hour ago, jezebelletooner said:

They care, because they know (or have an aproximate idea, because most griefers don't even grind) about how long it takes to prepare a sale.

Padding the K/D ratio is more of a tryhard thing, altough in this day and age, they're kind of the same anyway (their "playstyles" overlap).

1 hour ago, jezebelletooner said:

They must be, the high of knowing that you ruined someone's fun must be important to them.

1 hour ago, jezebelletooner said:

I wish they dressed like that, most of them dress like tacticool juggalos, maybe because it fits their "troll" persona or whatever.

Because they depend on their OP vehicles, weapons and game mechanics in order to cause havoc; deny them their meme vehicles and their "ground game" and they become pretty much useless, badmouthing you because you ganged up on them (even when they decided to attack a group of players who are willing to fight back, go figure) or call you out for using underhanded tactics (even when they use them too).

The game would be way more fun without them. And yes, my post is pretty biased as you can see.

I'm not a griefer, but answer is pretty obvious to me - all trolls, griefers and cheaters have issues as well as low average IQ. Short height, small peen, being most stupid\poor\ugly kid in your class, having to deal with things you hate in your life, like sh*tty job or family. Also I recall Punisher show from Netflix had a good example of griefer kid, who lost his father. Why GTA attracts such people - because it is easiest way to feel like you are good at something in your life. It gives you simple goal, gives you ultimate tools to complete it, and to make it more real it puts real people on the receiving end. No wonder griefers enjoy rage messages, as confirmation that they finally did something that worth attention of other people.

Not a griefer but I will kill/blow up everyone that I can at least once. Don't really mess with anyone doing business but it has happened. Only when they are collecting supplies though. I don't like having my sales ruined so I won't do it to others.

Don't care about KD in the slightest. Blowing up some random person blowing up others isn't messing up any progress. It's a game, so no, no powerful feelings.

My character is dressed normally.

I own the Mk 2 but don't use it because I prefer my Vigilante. Playing Batman on PCP is quite fun.

ill answer your questions as a retired griefer with 3300+ hours of experience.

1-no it doesnt matter, but if the victim have cargo, is more sweet, knowing they would probably be pissed, most griefers are always looking to get a reaction.

2-kd is one of those things i never cared, i griefed because it was fun for me, receiving them hatemail made it even sweeter.

3-for me it was all about having fun, i didnt felt more powerful or that i was better than the person i was griefin.

4-while many use the usual "all black clothes, bp helmet, rebreather and red eyes" combo, i never wore that, i was more classy, jeans, cowboy boots and hat with the very fitting lime green asshole shirt.

5-my griefin days were before the oppresors were a thing, i did spend a lot of time on my hydra and never got bored, theres always someone that would come try dogfight me, there was always someone moving cargo, etc etc etc there was always someone to have fun with.

hope my answers help you understand a bit the griefers.

Looks more like a big ugly baby with a big black pacifier and some headprotection so the rest of his brain (if there is any left) does not fall out.

Seriously, whats the point of this topic? It has been discussed many times why griefers grief. Giving them attention is exactly what they want.

The classy griefer whose gonads finally exploded after inflating to the size of the entire room :D

Griefing goes beyond the boundaries of griefing within a single video game like GTA online. It transcends into other video games, your personal life, discussion forums, you name it... it's a personality disorder.

BTW, BIGNESS means BIG NUTS!

wrong.   all the way wrong.

i tried to start a similar thread the other day, but was unsuccessful in the attempt.   i think on these forums the thing about griefing that's been discussed to death is the whining and crying from the people who don't like it, who won't hesitate to suggest the same things mentioned in the above quote, etc., and act all high and mighty like they're above it, and have never done it themselves.    uh.... yeah, right.

philosophically, i think the potential for an ill-tempered and well-armed human adversary is an excellent in-game difficulty modifier, frankly--for those times when you're thinking the missions are too repetitive, or the AI is to easy, or what-have-you.   obviously a lot (okay, almost all) of the sales vehicles are sitting ducks, and especially if you're trying to do a run solo, the odds are against you if there's enemies on the scene.    it's hard to feel too bad about it though because, hey man, nobody ever promised you that you were gonna have a good time, and life is hard.     not to mention how easy it is to simply avoid the other players by having your own personal session all to yourself any time you want.

fact is, it's just another thing to do.

i don't play that way all the time--not by a long shot--and when i do, i definitely try to avoid blowing up sales runs, but i believe when you've launched one of the CEO jobs to avoid paying insurance the blips don't really show up the same, and i've definitely sent a collection of missiles at somebody before realizing it once or twice.       quite often i go psycho in a lobby because somebody just sh*t all over whatever i was doing, but sometimes it's just what i happen to be in the mood for.     my favorite memories of sessions i've had in GTAO are mostly the ones that turned into a total bloodfest, not the countless million-dollar sales i've made.

the MKII is pretty good for waging unlimited war, obviously, but not as good as the Akula.

and hells yes, the salt in your tears tastes really delicious.

by the way:  i never EWO, i never throw stickies at my own feet, my k/d is only in the 1.3 range or so and i could care less, PLUS i'd be happy to whoop your ass at a game of tennis, too.

^^ that's an intelligent and well written response, but you're forgetting one important factor. Most people just go about their business but then get drawn into fights without really wanting to do so. You'll be chatting to a friend, riding around in a different car for the fun of it and <BOOM> you're part of someone else's war. Finding a lobby all of your own is not a solution, and just as retarded as going to the shopping centre and renting it out for your hollow-self for the day. Pointless. The world is full of people that we have to learn to get along with them, except when your kid brother flicks a giant bogey in your face, of course, and you jump over the table and claw his eyes out, whereas in GTA online you can't react at that level and have to engage in petty broomstick wars until someone gets bored.

Do you care if your target has cargo/goods? No, but red dots are much more a reason to attack.

Do you do it for your K/D stat, or do you enjoy knowing you are messing up someone else’s game progress? No, its funny so yes, but picking a fight is fun if Im in the mood and have sat around and no one has come for me.

When you blow up someone, do you feel powerful? No, beating someone out of a lobby, turning the tables on someone, thats what I am after in PVP.

Why is your character dressed like a serial killer from a horror movie? Sorry, I go to my tryhard outfit to reduce my visibility after I am killed 3-5 times, but I normally wear "normal' gta outfits.

Why do you literally spend your whole session airborne on your op mkii?  Don’t you get bored? Don't, but the mk2 is fun but would get boring after a while.

thank you.   i am, in fact, not in middle school, as has been suggested elsewhere.

can't disagree with any of your sentiment.   i usually am as helpful and non-hostile as any player you could hope to encounter online, in fact, and i just accept that nothing's perfect, and a lot of times, people suck.

It's a videogame, not real life.

Why a videogame should emulate the bad parts of life?

I'm not saying thay R* should turn GTAO into a PvE only setting, after all, mayhem amd destruction does fit the GTA series.

The thing is that even among utter chaos, there can be balance and right now, said balance is next to non existent.

There is only one reason why Rockstar introduced an insta-broomstick into GTA online, so that retards can have an insta-deathmachine at their disposal to drive the herd closer to buying shark cards, either to get the things they can't grind towards, or to revenge against the griefers using their own insta-broomsticks.

This thing should never have been released IMO. It's a fun little vehicle and has it's place in my collection, but I would love to see it removed, nerfed or simply stomped on.

No sh*t. That is literally the point of a game. "Teaching us a lesson" lol, what about minding your own business, anyone ever teach you that? Being kind? Treating others how you'd like to be treated?

It's just an excuse to validate such behavior. "Your salty tears taste good" is literally the only reason to impede others.

I try not to attack cargo, unless that person has messed with me in some way.

5 hours ago, jezebelletooner said:

Neither. But then I just mostly just grief tryhards, cryhards, or people who are looking to fight. I do it because it's fun fighting (sometimes anyway), and it's even more fun when someone hates being killed (and you get them). Cargo or people who don't want to fight - they're not entertaining to fight, so I'm not doing that unless I'm really bored.

I feel different things depending on who I blow up. Typically just satisfied though, rather than powerful.

Not a griefer, but if you promote your club in a pubbie there's a 60% chance i'm gonna come after you. i'm gonna destroy it unless you're in a blimp. Main reason being is because it's not fair to kill someone in a blimp. But also because i'm too lazy to promote my club. I need that 10k a day yo. I really don't care about KD, and my character dresses normally. I don't feel powerful when blowing people up, and i only destroy cargo if someone destroys mine. I also only use my MK2 for transportation/HH really.

I am not an all out griefer, but I am known to leave some prox mines in the entrance to a vehicle warehouse if I know that is where that CEO is going.   If am going to grief, I wont go after people that are doing sales or anything where them making money is on the line, now resupplying and that type of stuff, yes, that is fair game for sure, yes, sales are fair too game, but for me, its not.  I feel like I am helping R* on pushing their sh*tty stinky shark cards.
