Lock n' Stock
One thing has been on my mind since the release of the gameplay trailers, how is weapon capacity going to work in this game? To be honest, I always found it unrealistic how in the original RDR and GTA V that you were able to carry so many different weapons, including multiple of a certain type that you could switch between at any time (e.g multiple shotguns or rifles at once). Since RDR 2 seems to be going for a much more realistic feel, do you think they'll be sticking with the old system or having more of a less-restricted Max Payne 3 system where you can only carry a certain amount? Personally, I feel that instead of having all of your guns and weapons with you at once, it would be more logical to have some sort of storage at a safehouse or base, that you'd have to go back to whenever you wanted to switch your revolvers or shotguns/rifles to something else. HMS_Duke
Previews have already confirmed it'll be a similar system to Max Payne 3. I believe you can carry a maximum of two 'long guns' and two pistols, anything else you can keep on your horse. Gunboat138
I agree with you. The vibe I got is that on your actual person, you get 2 long weapons and 2 sidearms, but they never really clarified how much you can carry on your horse. Ideally, I would like the horse to have a capacity too, say 4 long weapons and 4 sidearms, but seeing as they touted the "you will lose your hat" so hard, but it turns out it will just reappear on your horse, I have a feeling that your horse is going to be carrying your whole arsenal. In short, your horse is going to be wearing the same bottomless pants that every GTA protagonist + John Marston wore in every previous game. This is just my guess. BUT THE BENZ
I wanna be able to create different LOADOUTS, for all kinds or approaches....silent, heavy, dual revolvers, sniper, etc probably gonna see that in RDRO Lock n' Stock

They said in an interview your horse has near unlimited carry capacity. Lock n' Stock
Lock n' Stock
I like the idea of your horse carrying all your sh*t. Still let's you switch between many weapons on the go while keeping things more realistic. Semaj 2JZ♢

CrimsonFolo
As others have said, two big weapons and two little ones. So like 2 rifles and a revolver + Sawned off could be your combo or whatever. You get lasso, throwables and probably melee weps on your person. Horse carries rest of sh*t and i assume you'll be able to upgrade his saddles or whatever to carry more unless it can carry any amount of weapons from the get go. Semaj 2JZ♢
@The FoolYT I doubt we'll have to upgrade storage for the saddle, since they said the horse's carrying capacity is nearly unlimited from the get-go. I'm guessing the only restrictions will be max ammo amounts for each type and other max amounts for food stuffs, trinkets and throwables. Like, 999 or 9,999. Also, I'm sure you can carry a couple smaller to medium sized animals, but I highly doubt they'll let you throw, say, a bear, a moose and an alligator all on the back of your horse at one time. HockeyMike24
One of the most annoying things in GTA V was scrolling through an arsenal of 50+ weapons when in combat to find the weapon I usually use. The worst was accidentally swiping the PS4 touch pad which would change to a weapon you didn't want. Lonely-Martin and HockeyMike24
