What actually happened? To me it looked like a team with an awful reputation for discipline once again lost their heads after a dodgy penalty decision.

that team was about to go through next round,solid defending and critical attacks on the other hand while at 65th minute,score was 1-1 and it was adequate for next round.Nani is a fool,I won't discuss it.But that penalty,that following red card,non-sense yellows for getting mad at his teammate,first goal was clearly offside.You could even see referee's face,it was telling something bad.All those factors could destroy a match and they did so!Even with their coach off,they clearly looked like they were going through next round.I won't even talk about the importance of Topal for midfield,who has been given that stupid red card.With only this kind of a ruining a referee could turn the match around and he did.When Cuneyt Cakir showed that red card to Nani few years ago,I criticised Cakir and said same things about him because I know how he controls matches,I know his personality and knew he did it intentionally,undermines teams in his country.Anyone who is able to understand a bit football will confirm me,no doubt...

I can't see City's defence holding Ibra, he's going to destroy them with Vinny and Otamendi out. PSG need to use the 4-4-2 system or 4-3-3 with Cavani and Ibra partnering up, it's going to be really effective against City.

I totally agree with you. I am a Fenerbahce fan and I felt things deeper through the match. Nani wasted a great chance just minutes before the game's destiny changed. Cakir isn't a good ref too, in my country football federation gives him big responsibilities in derby clashes, but he can't control the game in all that nerve that mostly comes by fans and also footballers.

In short, next round changed hands in last 30 minutes of the match as a result of a ''terrible'' referee.

Otamendi's probably gonna be back by then. Though I am not keen on watching Demichelis vs Ibrahimovic. If City can win and keep a clean sheet in the first leg, they would have a great chance to enter the semi-final.

So I was just looking at the Premier League table, and damn I would love to see Leicester City win it. I think it would be one of the sweetest outcomes for an English season in which all big names have been a disappointment, and I don't think any other team would deserve it more than them. I've also checked the next fixtures and they can win all the matches of April, whereas the ending fixtures, with matches against Chelsea and Manchester United if I remember correctly might not even matter anymore. Seriously, this is that one in a ten year team that can come out of nowhere and win it, surprising everyone. Really holding my hopes for Vardy and his teammates, I hope they'll go all the way. Really hope Tottenham will not win today, but even so, a five point margin is still a pretty damn good thing.

Leicester deserve to win it, and hopefully it gives the kick up the arse to the other teams to step up. United deserve the most stick in my opinion, the board does not understand anything about football, the manager is delusional and the players don't seem to listen to the fans and use their heads to perform. I can only see next season being a fresh start for everyone.

Such a sh*te game, apart from Untied's goal they did nothing, City couldn't be arsed and just wanted to see how many injuries we could pick up in a game, the ref was dick and should have sent of Smalling for that second tackle on Aguero, and the linesman was as blind as bat.

 

If this game had proved anything to me is that we seriously miss it when Kompany isn't fit, and also proves how much we've missed Nasri in the side, because he's solid as f*ck in midfield... and why they hell did we let go of... or rather why did we let Milner go.

 

Just gotta hope we can win at least six of the remaining games we've got left, or else Pep isn't going to have a Champions League side to play with.

Very happy with the Derby win. Smalling man of the match for me, kept Aguero quiet like a deserted town most of the match. The second tackle on him didn't even contact Aguero, he dived, that shows you how bored of City he really is. He isn't the same Aguero anymore, period. If Smalling had been sent off, the ref would have been a disgrace. Overall, United destroyed City in every way, especially the first half. Second half we started to get tired and stay at the back and City started pressing us, but our defence was too solid. Demichelis was just.......utterly laughable, what a sh*t defender. Man is 34 and should have retired way before. I feel for Pelle because he had no one else to use since Otamendi and Kompany were out. Rashford turned him inside out like a fool. But yeah, I think we had a few chances that we could have taken and got 2-3 goals easily.

Real Madrid beat Barca. Cristiano scored the winner which was good to see, and was also a surprise considering the shocker he was having most of the match. Benzema was very good and Marcelo IMO was absolutely fantastic. Real Madrid need to sell Ramos and Pepe, they are hilariously sh*t. I won't be surprised if Ronaldo also vows to move on in the summer because you could tell at times he wasn't bothered.

Oh well congratulations for Real Madrid for the win. I am relatively okay with this thing, we are still ahead in the league, I am just disappointed that we couldn't carry on our winning streak. Really hoping we can come back against Atletico Madrid although there are only tough matches coming ahead.

Barcelona may have the league won (unless they really f*ck up bad and go on a losing streak) but this was still a nice morale boost and everything just came together so well. Barca's streak ends, we beat them in Camp Nou when nobody thought it'd happen, we win even with 10 men and a disallowed goal while Cristiano scores the winning goal to shut down all the haters who said he can only score against small teams. And on top of that, we were truly the better team. MSN were nonexistent and never a danger up-front except the two shots that were saved by Navas. (the Messi save in particular was amazing)

 

Here's to Atletico making it a double defeat for Barcelona against the Madrid teams in CL. (one can hope!)

Look, he was important some time ago, he wasn't for the past 10-20 years, yet the Dutch football commentators and basically everything about football in this country (I live in the netherlands) came down to; "BUT CRUIJFF SAID THIS, SO WE BETTER DO THAT".

 

It is frustrating to watch people using arguments from 40 years ago for the game today. I didn't "forget" and I won't take it as far as to say that I don't want him to rest in peace, but maybe now football will revolutionize again instead of being stuck in "Cruijff says", which the Netherlands (at the very least) got stuck in. If you're Dutch and remember the World Cup with Bert van Marwijk as coach, you'll know what I mean, everything and everyone whining about "but total Cruijfball isn't being played". People and "professionals" were pretty much attacking Bert van Markwijk's way of coaching because "it wasn't what Cruijff would want". The problem is ofcourse that Cruijff probably isn't to blame, but all those commentators and "professionals" are, although he was clearly the cause.

 

I did put it very edgy, but that's cause I am edgy as f*ck yo.
