Seems like United is close to agreeing a deal with Mourinho and is going to be announced soon. As a manager, I have the utmost respect for him, he knows the game inside out and is a serial winner and will ruin Pep once again. Let's hope he stops his antics and uses this opportunity to change certain aspects about him because this is the last opportunity we have to get such a respectable manager, I hope he doesn't use the sh*tty park the bus tactics or fall out with anyone because he could easily be with us for years to come.

Either Guardiola's arrival to City has really taken a toll on Pellegrini or maybe no one just tries hard enough. Abysmal performance, and from the whole team, barring 2-3 players.

City's squad is overrated m8. In-form, they are fantastic, but most of that is from the main stars in the team. Aguero and Silva are the only world class players in the team, don't expect them to carry the team in this league. Aguero is in a weird situation. This guy seems to be getting injured frequently and I'm wondering if it's only going to worse or if the change of diet and training regime should solve the problems. If it doesn't, then I can see him moving away for his benefit otherwise he could end up like Falcao in 2-3 years. They have an aging midfield and aging defence, no wonder they got ripped apart by the most in-form team in the league. Demichelis is still in the f*cking team lmao. He's a mertesacker. The fullbacks are not good enough anymore, again it's because of age and decline in quality. If Leicester wins the league, history is going to be made. Pep's job is to refresh the squad, and then build on the foundations to win them a title or two, and I know Pep is already having nightmares over that because he isn't a proven manager in that sense, everything was handed to him on a plate at Barca, everything. Bayern Munich was an easy job as well, they might have a few players aging, but they are the only dominant team in the german league, and yet look what he has done in the Champions League for them, not upto their standards at all.

We've had quite a few performances this season like that, luckily the opposition haven't found us out as easily as Leicester have, although there was a couple of shoddy decisions by the ref which pisses me off.

 

What that match really did was highlight how much we've missed Kompany and Nasri this season due to injury and missed a decent tall centre forward like Dzeko for those high crosses.

 

Edit: Jeff... Can I call you Jeff? Aguero stays, injuries happen they're part of the game, being injured should'nt be reason to leave.

I realise that. But look lad, he is getting more and more injured recently. He got a heel injury last month, and didn't play for a while, and it's pretty obvious that the reason he changed his diet and training regime is because he knows he's becoming more injury prone. Of course a player isn't going to move because of one injury or two injuries, but becoming more injury prone over the seasons is going to kill his career period. And as a City fan, you should have noticed by now that the number of times he is getting injured is rising like a mofo. Come on. The exact same thing was happening to Falcao from Atletico to Monaco, and the final straw was the knee ligament injury he had which has completely destroyed him as a player. I'd hate to see that happen to a class act like Aguero. It's just a shame Pellegrini doesn't have a clue who to buy as a back up for Aguero, Bony is sh*te and Edin done himself a favour while Kelechi is still a youngster but making that transition slowly.

How Ranieri is pwning other english managers is hilarious, I got the chance to see playing many of his teams during the course of his career (I live in Lamezia, where he started coaching) and I never felt like he's the "master of tactics". Actually, I can't even remember a great team coached by him (and he started like 30 years ago), apart of Roma when I admit he deserved to win but only one of the biggest scandal in our history deprived him of what would've been his first championship.

I'm not here to despise him and Leicester obv, they're doing something incredible playing the best football with 1/100 budget of other teams, deserving to be where they are and I really love to watch them playing. But I'd like to point out that it's not like Ranieri and Leicester are one of the best team ever, it's just like BPL level is so low in terms of coaching and tactics, top 5 clubs have bad managers, van gaal and pellegrini above all.

I'm pretty sure Leicester would be a contender for EuropeLeague spot if they played in Italy, nothing more, nothing less. BPL is in its darkest moments of the last 5 years, and I'm really looking forward to see how Guardiola and Mou will impact to that.

@ Jeff: A lot of players go through injury periods in their careers and yes some do suffer long term as a result and some come back and can either match their prior form or even better it. But I do agree that a good backup is not on the books.

 

However, using Falcao as an example is apples and oranges, as we all know that it was van Gaal who ruined him, cause he doesn't know how to handle good players and van Gaal's been found out whilst at United that it's his weakness.

 

PS As for "lad", I remember the Scotland era in the 80's and Big Ron at your side

I agree Van Gaal also ruined him, hence why he even cried at one point. But he was already finished after that nasty injury. Anyhow, he's being managed even WORSE at Chelsea lol, and that says a lot. Brought Pato and he instantly replaces Falcao permanently from every competition and first team squad. But yeah, obviously Aguero should be fine since he is a smart guy after all. Don't take any offence since I'm a big fan of him.

That's the truth right there. Even Kompany's aging now. But I have a feeling that the players are also starting to miss Kompany's leadership, and they have gotten so used to that they seem clueless without him now. We kept 5 clean sheets in our first 5 games and scored 11 goals. And then it all changed so quickly. Hope Pellegrini does something about it soon and KDB and Kompany come back.

I miss Pellegrini's debut season, with Aguero, Negredo, Silva and even Navas smashing in the goals and destroying teams like United, Tottenham and Arsenal, especially the first half of the season. Good times.

Great win against Bilbao today in the first real test for Zidane against a halfway decent team. That in a match where some bad situations occurred such as losing the lead due to a defensive mistake very early in the game and being 10 men but still extending the lead. Great way to head into CL with Roma this week.
