Ronaldo is my favourite player of all time, there was a time when I would argue he was the greatest of all time.But Messi can do everything R9 could do, the only difference is that Messi has lasted at the top level longer than Ronaldo, which no one can deny. Ronaldo due to his injuries never got to the level he should have, which would have been unreachable, even for Messi but things didn't work out like that unfortunately.

Is anyone following the UEFA U 21 Championship? The games I've been watching the last couple of days were simply great. Portugal have a great team. They'll definitely have a say in it.

 

I watched the game against you guys and it was good to see Djuricic get on the scorecard. Lol at the fact that he's 23 with at least 20 senior team caps and he's playing for the u-21s. If only he played semi-decently for the full team.

Great day for Serbian football. Gives us a lot to look forward to over the next decade as the players hit their prime. Hopefully their talents don't wither away, and hopefully they can actually gel at the full-team level (unlike the current "talents" like Matic, Ivanovic, Tadic etc. who sadly don't play as well for the national team as they do at club level). The coach is an all-round great bloke and made an effort to use the team's players as an ambassador for the country in the city they were staying in, which I thought was a wonderful idea. From what I've read, he's an excellent man-manager and can stick a team and hold it together like superglue (he took the u17s to European title glory a few years back, and has now more or less won the u20 WC with p much the same team) and I definitely think he should be a future contender for the senior coaching position.

Against FC Porto's president desire, @28, he never really wanted to roam to a non European qualified AC...

No new contract is yet signed though, he's still @Copa America, as many others are...

Neymar is a god like player on form and slots into Barcelona perfectly, he's unselfish - i've seen him give up many chances just to pass to Messi/Suarez and he's had the same returned to him by Messi & Suarez. I think MSN is the most unselfish front three in world football, they're playing for the team/trophies and not for themselves which is exactly why they're winning so many. Neymar is a c*nt & guilty of acting like a clown many a time but one thing he is not is selfish. I've also never seen a player slot into Barcelona on the left so neatly without losing a lot of goals/assists, same goes for Messi when he was on the right this season whilst Suarez occupied the middle (although they all move around constantly). God like front three and they all play for each other which is immense to witness.

 

Since you are a FC Barcelona fan you are NEVER going to be objetive about your team players. I, since i hate Barça and Madrid pretty much the same, I see things in another perspective.

Oh and by the way, you talk like if Neymar was your neighbor and friend. How can you say he is not Selfish if you DON'T Know him?

I am a Barcelona supporter and I can still have a pretty good perspective. I do admit that his behavior is far from what he should have. He's not really that young anymore as most people call him. He's actually 23 already. At that age, Messi has already won the treble with Barcelona. Difference is that he's not yet that decisive player that can carry a match on his own. Suarez is, Messi also. But not Neymar. He's just always there. That's the best thing I can say about him. Always there. Always there even with the tap-in or with the goal. He managed also to score awesome goals, but his main quality is that he's always in a position you wouldn't expect him to be and always somehow scores. He's also a pretty nice finisher. But he's never going to be a guy who does his best to create chances and score solo goals, like Suarez and Messi. I can remember a lot of games when Suarez was carrying the team instead of Messi, but not a single time when Neymar was.

 

He also doesn't have many assists. A couple here and there but most of them are either luck or just a favorable situation. Or just the impossibility for him to score so he's forced to pass. I read a survey after the season ended, and it was about the relationship between the three of them. Not a single assist was of Neymar given for Suarez. The other way, Suarez for Neymar where quite a lot, a couple of them against Bayern away and another in the Cup Final, but never the other way. He only sometimes assists Messi, or rarely another player out of the trio.

Or maybe he just wanted to integrate better. I know many players that came and declared that they know Messi is the main player and everything has to go around him. That comes since the event with Ibrahimovic in 2010, since then everybody knows he can't be number 1 of the club, just like it goes for Real Madrid. So they try their best to help Messi. Suarez has declared a little time ago that when he first played for Barcelona he was a little emotional about playing in such a team alongside players like Messi or Iniesta and didn't want to do anything to mess up. That's why he's so unselfish, more like any other player we currently have, and a perfect proof for this is this sweet gesture for Messi when he was travelling a bad period without scoring goals:

Wasn't Diego Costa booed at if I remember right?! Well, you can't hear those who are not booing. Apart from that, I think half of Brazilians don't even know who Diego Costa is.

That dosen't mean he should play with a Country that's not his hometown. A lot of Catalan players that are in 2ºB and Third Division teams, with a Catalan Separatist ideology, apply for Andorra citezenship when they are underage so they can play for Andorra's National team and NEVER play with Spain. Since Andorra is a country with less than 80,000 they don't mind. That's NOT fair.

Ramos doesn't necessarily legitimately want to leave. It's often spun that way to re-negotiate contract deals.
