27,000 fans of the second league club Union Berlin singing Christmas songs in their stadium. They are great fans, they helped renovating and expanding their stadium between 2008 and 2013 for free.

3-0 at half with no strikers, West Brom should be thanking us that we don't have Aguero fit, otherwise they'd be totally feckered

EDIT: 3-1 not bad at the Hothawthorns, damn that was a bit of blizzard at the end

PS F*ck you Everton and Stoke, that's me out of the Last Man Standing Pool at work

It's not like I care too much about footbal but the selections from Basque Country and Catalonia are playing right now in the 100th Anniversary since the first time they played against each other and my pals have gone to the stadium to watch it... After 20 minutes from the starting the Basque team wins 1 - 0...

Thank you, Burnley. blind linesman

I hate to FIFY someone, but it's true

The refereeing, in general, has been appalling this season. No point even talking about it. If the ref had given us the clear penalty instead of booking Fabregas for diving, we would have walked away with 3 pts as well.

I see that Martin Ødegaard kid is in Manchester weighing up his options. I thought Bayern had that deal wrapped up ages ago.

He's on a European tour, getting to know all the big clubs. So in the summer he will be able to pick his favourite destination. He still might end up in Munich but I don't think it's decided yet.

He has to be smart, go to a club where he wil get plenty of first team football. at bayern, city, chelsea, real madrid, he won't get that I think. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

And yes the reffing has been awful, United have been silly in the box, should have had 3 penalties against them the last few games, and before we were screwed by clattenburg way back at the start, I've heard too many people brush this off by going "it evens out by the end, you get as many favourable decisions as unfavourable" bollocks, that is impossible to happen for every team. 2 things will help this situation

1 - actual punishment for refs so if they blatently f*ck it up they actually get punished so they don't jsut get off scot free to do it again.

2 - technological assistance

won't happen because this is part of the corruption that is rife in our game.

Well Barnsley... here he comes.

Pardew is off to Palace, weird since Newcastle are on such a good run of form right now.

Even more weird as to why someone would leave a mid-table team for a relegation-threatened team. Only reason I can think of is him being emotional about Palace due to having played for them.

Yes, that's a statue of Christiano Ronaldo... with a boner.

I was thinking Liverpool, or Manchester united with your needed reshuffle and our current reshuffle, maybe even Barca with their older midfielders perhaps coming to the end, he won't get it right away but it won't be a logn wait like it would be at City, Chelsea or Bayern, especially Chelsea, Chelsea can't bring up youngsters unless they are already first team quality like Hazard, look at Lukaku, mceachran etc. But yeah might as well set his sights even higher :p I personally think he should do what Neymar did, hone his game in his home country for a few years.

About him, I am hearing he has signed a contract with arsenal for 4 years. Unconfirmed but if he has it happened today (so in the last hour and a half). Nothign on sky or anything like that on it. I am calling bullsh*t for now.

^how f*cking big are hsi shoulders in that statue they look f*cking ridiculous

I think Pardew is going to Palace because he keeps gettign threatened with the sack at newcastle and then a month alter he is god's gift to football in their eyes, he might be sick of their fans being so fickle and worried Ashley might get jumpy with the trigger finger as he has done in the past, he might also think he can pull a Pulis.

Pulis for Newcastle? I might put a bet on that.

treated like sh*t by fans for months who now suddenly love him again, no say on transfers, close to being sacked multiple times. i can understand why he abandoned that clown boat of a club.

For a moment, I thought you were talking about Arsene Wenger. :p

Newcastle fans are some of the worst fans going. They're deluded as f*ck. They still seem to see themselves as being a big club, I mean they are biggish, but their sense of themselves as a club and city is just so inflated. They won't accept anything short of huge success with Kevin Keegan/Shearer at the helm. Anything else is just not good enough for them. They apparently booed all game long against Everton, especially when they were 1-0 down. Really sh*tty bunch of negative entitled fans them lot.

That Ronaldo statue is very bizarre. It reminds me of paintings of the monarchy from hundreds of years ago. Whenever they commissioned an artist to do a portrait they were always painted with massive cod pieces and exaggerated certain aspects of their bodies to look bigger and stronger. That's pretty much exactly what Ronaldo has done. The guy is generally pretty athletic and sculpted, but that statue is ridiculous, the size of his pecks and shoulders are way OTT. Not to mention the ridiculous bulge.

Just a friendly match but still, beating 4-2 Real Madrid with the sh*ttiest team AC Milan ever had in its history ain't bad at all. ;)

I dont understand why Spain etc have a winter break if they are just going of fill that time by playing meaningless friendlies. Just carry on playing league games.

I don't understand why Spain and mainly England burn their players with so many games the whole year. Football on Christmas time is just the most stupid thing ever.

Sterling get's away with trying to punch another player and Stambouli get's away with that horrible challenge on Carrick. The Premier League referee's and the FA are a f*cking joke. We've seen players like Ferdinand and Balotelli get banned for Twitter and Instgram posts but apparently trying to punch somebody and that so called tackle on Sunday are not as bad.

Because football over Christmas is the best time of year in my opinion. Players get paid enough so get out their and play.

And btw @WrongKind: Are you Tommy?

I enjoy the football over Christmas but not a fan of two games played in two days. And did anybody catch MNF's team of the season so far? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11662/9625127/monday-night-football-awards-gary-neville-and-jamie-carragher-have-their-say-at-the-halfway-stage

My team which was very hard to pick:

De Gea
Clyne Terry Cahill Azpilicueta
Sanchez Rooney Fabregas Hazard
Costa Aguero
Subs: Courtois, Ivanovic, Silva, Schneiderlin, Matic, Carrick, Di Maria
Honorable mentions: Austin, Cresswell, Pelle, Berahino, Fonte, Bertrand, Lloris, Young
