Girish I don't feel as though I'll be proven wrong today and have to eat my words lol

Wtf is Chelsea doing, playing with Werner and Alonso on the left they are playing without a left side in practice, with Alonso slow and useless and Werner wanting to be striker and never found on the left.

Yeeaaah. I'd be surprised if Lampard lasts till christmas. Tf is going on lol? Same sh*t as last season. Inconsistent. Weird defeats against smaller teams.

lol I don't even know what to say right now. WBA is making us look like a Championship side and I'm not even sure we can get at least a goal back. But yeah, a couple more games like these and there are going to some serious questions asked of Lampard.

Edit: I'm just going to blame our horrible third kit.

Of course I have both Werner and Havertz in my fantasy team. Can't even get me points against West Brom. Unbelievable.

Still better than this.

We legit look like what we've been the last season in this kit. CLOWNS.

This is some of the worst tactics I've ever seen and I'm not exaggerating. Lamps only excuse can be no preseason because this is the most laughable sh*t.

I don't particularly rate Chillwell that much but the sooner he's ready to go the better. Alonso is absolutely diabolical.

Puli and Ziyech also can't come soon enough.

He hasn't found a set of players that he can trust week in week out neither has he found a formation that consistently works. I don't think even Lamps could have imagined such a horrible start. I'm still mildly optimistic that the season will be better than the last and we will get better with time but don't quote me on it.

With the world class players they have they are still going to play top 4 I tell ya, but yeah, they are a tactical and defensive disaster. I'm interested how it will be with Ziyech, Chilwell, and Pulisic. There's no way you don't play top 4 with that. But some good players like Mount and Abrahams are going to be benched and get disappointed. The solution being winning everything and rotating.

Three games in and the top 6 are already playing the "Top 4 is lava" game.

Well, well, well... wouldn't have bet a penny on us snatching a point. Must feel like a defeat for WBA. At least, we got a little bit of positivity in the second half.

La liga ain't even started yet and Madrid are already winning retarded penalties and stupid decisions(offsides, red cards,... all in one game) in their favor lmao. As if last season wasn't enough. Can we go back to pre VAR please? I think the cheating and match fixing was less before VAR.

Killing football here, absolutely pathetic!

Sure, we should have seen of Newcastle long before with the chances we had. But how stupid is this f*cking premier league right now. Our league deserves all the mockery it gets. Embarrassing.

Moron Mourinho taking off Son at half time, wow.

That penalty was nonsense though.

Yeah VAR can f*ck right off. Not just England. EVERYWHERE. It's a joke. It was supposed to fix the BIG mistakes referees make. But it doesn't do that. They keep ignoring the BIG mistakes in games and instead focus laughable handballs and marginal offsides. Match fixing has never been easier.

It's weak and kills the game. Might as well get rid of refs and assistants and automate games now.

Players are getting cute to it too as Carroll was looking for that cheap penalty since he came on, lol. Being fair, that's all Newcastle had any chance with.

Ahh well, we played great today and much more positive going forward. Should have took our chances, but for those critical of Jose's tactics, we showed that we are gonna be creative going forward.

This is nothing to do with VAR, this is the handball rule which was changed for this season. Ref's even informed clubs to expect more penalties in pre-season.

It's a Fifa change but I expect refs in England will stop enforcing it soon due to the backlash and pressure.

No chance. Our refs are so weak and are too keen to pass the buck. Besides FIFA will just cash in and fine the soft bastards. 🤣

Exactly. VAR isn't the issue, but the ridiculous rule changes. The rules are being enforced too strictly, without any thought for common sense. I actually agreed with what Souness said; by the letter of the law it was the correct decision. It will add more goals, talking points, controversy and excitement. But it's still a f*cking stupid rule change.

Nah, no fining will happen for that. The refs will stop enforcing it soon, they probably won't announce it or talk about it but we'll stop seeing them given. Could be as soon as the next match round to be honest, or even later today.

Sounds so artificial though. The joy in discussions/controversy is best done organically rather than make it happen with such weak rules that defy common sense.

We'll see. I'm very doubtful if FIFA are so hot on it. But we'll see.

Fifa can do or say what they want, it's not going to stop refs not giving pens for those so they don't get absolutely butchered by players, managers and pundits immediately after full time and on social media and in the papers. The FA will protect them from Fifa if that were to ever be a problem, but that won't be needed.

Even Steve Bruce is saying it was horrible, and it got his team a point lol.

Sure VAR itself isn't an issue. But it's a damn excuse. In the past the referees blamed their mistakes for their weird decisions. Now VAR hasn't fixed the mistakes, but has rather replaced them as "an excuse" for stupid decisions. So nothing has changed. With literally no advantages other than wasting the time of the game, killing momentum and ruining goal celebrations.

Good to see that Bayern aren't invincible. Also they lost Dest to us so it's 8-3 now baby let's go.

Using VAR as an excuse makes things worse though. It's not the technology's fault this is happening and using it as a scapegoat lets the real problems go unfixed.

English fans and pundits were all calling for VAR before it got introduced due to shocking refereeing in the Premier League, we got VAR and it didn't fix a damn thing. Premier League refs are miles below the standard they were 10 years ago, that plus silly rule changes are what is behind this mess - VAR puts a magnifying class on decisions but really, it has f*ck all to do with the actual problems.

To be fair, Bruce really could only join in on the mockery of that. I'd expect that sort of response from a former player with self respect, lol. He is a good chap.

But I disagree about the refs fearing comebacks. They've been getting them long before Vince McMahon's secret FIFA role as asinine rule maker came into it. Though I do agree with you that our refs are weak and sh*te, but I believe they are all good with us taking pops at FIFA's rules and/or VAR rather than at them taking control of games. It's just what they wanted so they'll learn to conform as it gets them off the hook like they've been seeking.

'Don't blame us, blame FIFA/VAR'

Sounds like a dream for our refs. 🤣

I know you're no fan of Jose, but we're on the right track I feel. We look more keen going forward and if anything, just need to sure up the defence. The team had more than enough chances to put Newcastle away. We keep that up and take the chances, we're golden.

Course, if FIFA allow it, lol.

------

Anyway, Leicester's 2nd goal here was a cheeky bit of class, and another penalty 2 mins later. Looks like City are keen for Liverpool to win a 2nd title already.

Everton probably nab 2nd at this rate too. City look all over the place.
