What a terrific draw. If we beat Napoli we'll face Bayern and even if we beat them we might have to play City-Juve. No way we can win anything this season with our current state. We might not even beat Napoli. They are in a very good form.

If we fail, I hope Atletico or Atalanta win this season.

Once again, my money is on Bayern to win the trophy.

[Chelsea] They need improvements in Defense and even in midfield.

Wingbacks are very important these days and I think they could definitely improve there. Also Koulibaly would be the most obvious centerback signing if they want an even higher level CB. As for midfield, I think they are strong there. Kovacic is world class really. Kante is a great player, but what I still struggle seeing is how Kante is part of a modern possession oriented game. I sometimes have doubts about Kante, but he's quality in his own respect no doubt. Chelsea plays a 4231 as far as I'm aware, and with Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic they have the quality in deep midfield I think. Though I do think Jorginho is a bit of a flop in Premier League, and he might be one to sell. Then they have Ross Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, which are all good and or talented attacking midfielders. Ziyech is also an attacking midfielder, possibly played as winger though, but I think midfield quality is up there at Chelsea..

Yep. United coming for third. Chelsea just can't break teams that park the bus. It's been their problem the whole season.

Expecting a tough game against Southampton on Monday. We've failed to take advantage of dropped points nearly all season, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it, especially if the Man City rumours are true about the result of the hearing.

If Chelsea don't improve their defence before the start of next season I don't know what they're thinking. Most of their defenders shouldn't be on a team with ambitions to win the league.

Lol, Chelsea folding against Sheff Utd was entertaining. As much as I want my Spurs in the mix, glad the door is open for United to pinch 3rd at least.

Also, RIP Jack Charlton!

It's cool for Chelsea to flop right after I deemed hem championship candidates for next season, but yeah, we'll see how it goes with Ziyech and Werner. I also think Kovacic is a potential key player for them, but Kovacic did not play against Sheffield so..

I'm really, really, really looking forward to Atalanta vs PSG. Atalanta has been flying hot this season, playing some great football. PSG hasn't had a competitive match in months. It would be absolutely brilliant to see Neymar get knocked out of the Champions League again.

Hey. Weren't you from Brazil or am I mistaken? I guess you guys hate him as well lol.

Yeah I love the way Atalanta play this season. Pure clinical football. No nonsense. Lethal in both defense and attack. I dig that Atletico - Atalanta semi final. Gonna be fun.

Oh boy, Leicester just got absolutely battered after the red card.

A win tomorrow takes us to third, so of course that means we are absolutely blowing it.

All season we've failed to take advantage when the teams we're competing with for top 4 have dropped points, particularly when Chelsea drop them.

pls no

Also, Leeds are so, so close to returning to where they belong. I could not think of a team that I want more in the PL than Leeds man, their fans alone will bring an element to the league no other team can - and they have El Loco in the helm who is undoubtedly gonna bring some spice next season if they come up.

To get back to an old subject, I'm happy that Bruno Fernandes is better than I thought he was. From seeing him before United I already saw he was a good player, but he's been so decisive that he even made me look at the modern number 10 position differently. I remember making post after post about United needing a guy who can give a through ball, but then not thinking Bruno Fernandes would be the guy to be good enough, and on that second part I stand corrected.

As for Arteta's Arsenal, they actually play good football sometimes, but they are let down by shocking defending over and over, and there is nothing to do against it except for buying new defenders. It's tragic to see them fail like this, and lose European football and be at midtable, but I think Arteta is a talented manager that just needs more time and more investment.

As for Leicester, tragic, but they just do not seem good enough for CL so it might be right.

That's not tragic, it's bloody awesome. Seeing them resign Luiz was a great signing. Cracking business... For a Spurs fan.

If my Spurs stay above them this season, it'll be magical and considering we've been average at best for 2 seasons now aside the UCL run last season, it just makes it even better indeed. 🤣😁

Leicester are missing their two full backs and Maddison. Literally the most important positions in today's football. Maddison especially is a very key player.

So.. Big news https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53387306

I was happy to see an oil money club get punished at first, but I'm actually glad to see it overturned, as it would be criminal to keep Pep's football out of the champions league for two years.

Also just in: Christopher Aurier, brother of Tottenham's Serge, shot dead in France

That's really sad to hear. Aurier had a shockingly bad game yesterday when I was watching, but he is a player with massive potential. Hope he recovers from this tragedy and goes on to do great things.

Yeah, I've given Aurier some stick of late, but that's just sad to hear about his brother. Likewise in wishing him all the best there!

Yep. I hate him for his prima donna attitude and his constant diving. He has immense talent and skill, but preferred to dive and search for a foul instead, with his theatrics annoying me to no end.

Plus PSG can go f*ck itself with their oil money.

United pussied out in the 2nd half. Should have gone for the third but they sat back. Southampton have really improved though.

We were gassed. We've played the same team five games in a row with a game every 3 days or so, it finally caught up. We should have killed the game when we had the chance and saw it out but we didn't.

Order of business

1. Rest in Peace Jack Charlton.  Tough player and great manager.

2. On the subject of Leeds, agree, they've been missing from the top flight for so long it would be good to see them back, if only to wind up Man United fans.  Although there's probably been so many years past since that beef was still fresh.

3. Tragic for Serge Aurier and his family.

4. Calling it now, the Saudi's will turn up on Friday (apparently the rumored day) in Newcastle and will just be about to announce they've taken over the club, when on the big screen they get interrupted by Vince McMahon, who mentions the rumors of him buying the club years ago were true and that he's the new owner of the club... and that Mike Ashley... You're Fiiiirrreed.

5. Well I have to comment on this.  Good for over turn, if not slightly aggrieved about the fine since we did assist with UEFA, but they plugged their ears and went "na-na-na-na".  But the main thing about FFP getting flipped off is good for all of football, it's anti-business and anti-competition and is trying to protect the big established clubs like Real Madrid.  Which on that subject the comments from La Liga boss was salty as f*ck, "CAS isn't fit for purpose", 100% guaranteed he would've had turd all over his nose if they upheld it.

Damn, United again! Grrr. Was hoping they'd close in on 3rd there and wouldn't of minded us losing to Leicester to see them pip Chelsea to 4th, lol.

Leeds are finally back in the big time. There was no other club, even as a United fan, that I wanted more to get promoted. The club and their fans will bring a lot to the league, including some very spicy matches with United. Looking forward to seeing Elland Road bouncing when crowds are allowed back, should be great.
