The truth hurts. Arsenal players are literally sh*t apart from a couple of them. Teams like Leicester and Everton have better squads. You can't really blame Emery that much although he has a history of big f*ck ups as well. He is not a point collector though and I doubt he'll do them any good in the league. He is a specialist in cups but right now these players really aren't good enough.

Arsenal will only go lower until their board realize that they need to spend f*cking money. 40 million budgets are a thing in the past. They have an American chairman who doesn't give two sh*ts about the club and enjoys watching his NFL team instead. Feel sorry for their fans though.

I think Emery is making the right tactical choices. Indeed many of his players are just not that good.

Yeah Emery is a good choice, and a competent tactician. But the squad he has at his hands... Is not the best. If it wasn't for Auba and Lacazette being extremely prolific upfront, they'd be having a much worse year. But they need better players all around, to setup those two.

Arsenal's defence is shocking. UEFA hosting the final 3 weeks after the league season is over is shocking. UEFA hosting the final in Azerbaijan is shocking.

Shocking night of football all round really.

Tbh the PL ended a week sooner than most leagues this year. Some cup finals were still held this week. Is it me or was the PL schedule a bit different/weird this year?

Super happy for Sarri. He really deserved it.

Sarri is great. Chelsea board would be stupid to let him go after doing what he did with Chelsea. But then it wouldn't be Chelsea.

It would be stupid to fire Sarri now, especially considering the transfer ban and the payout they would have to make to remove him. If certain reports are to be believed, Sarri has met with Juventus officials to discuss taking over from Allegri, so it would be wise to wait and see if he wants to go and then just ask for money from Juventus for releasing him from his contract.

UEL won, Carabao Cup final and 3rd place in the Premier League, it'd be really stupid to fire Sarri after all he've achieved with Chelsea this season! The rumor regarding Juventus' officials and Sarri should be fake, Agnelli was in Baku just because there was a meeting of the ECA (he's the president of the association)... But you're right, the most (in theory) realiable journalists are talking just about Sarri who, IMO, isn't the type of manager that Agnelli would want. Minor journalists and some insiders (always in theory) had the confirmation that Guardiola will be our next manager but I'm starting to think that nobody has a clear idea on what's happening right now. Next week should be the decisive one.

Nah, we're going to see overwhelming supremacy by the Premier League the coming years.

Yeah, even if I don't like at all this situation, Serie A is finally becoming an interesting championship again, surely it won't ever be on the pace with the Premier League, but at least we can now compete with LaLiga and Bundesliga. And I think that a more competitive championship could also be very useful for us in the UCL. And pay attention to Milan and Roma too, there could be a surprise name on their bench.

Keep hearing Sarri to Juve now. I know Di Marzio has reported it now, who we consider to be usually very reliable (when discussing Italian transfers), not sure if it's different in Italy. No idea who Chelsea would go for if that's the case. Only heard Lampard mentioned frequently, which would be a hell of a job for him.

Looking forward to the CL final, come on you Spurs. Fully expecting Liverpool to win, but just hoping for an entertaining game.

Poor Reyes, only 35!

Aside that sad news, I'm so weirdly excited for tonight's game now. I still can't believe it's us in the final.

I feel like a little kid (Spurs winning the FA Cup in '91 is a huge moment from my youth). I can't concentrate on anything aside sports news, lol.

I do expect a very strong Liverpool team to turn up, and Poch is probably doomed if he starts Kane or not too. But I just hope we do our part in making this a good final.

Just 35 years... Rest in peace José! 🙏

I'm expecting an intense final, I really can't see a clear winner at the moment. Even I prefer to see Liverpool playing (I love Klopp's playstyle), my heart suggests me to support Spurs instead: never won the UCL, no trophies in the last 20 years... I mean, Spurs are probably the most "romantic" choice!

He used to be very reliable but, since a few years, he got wrong some of the major transfer moves (I remeber when he said "Allegri will surely be on Juve's bench next year" and "Ronadlo? Just a suggestion!"). Maybe this time he's right, but I still don't think that Sarri would represent an upgrade for our team. Meanwhile our stock values went up to +5% yesterday and, considering that investors normally know more than us what's happening inside a company, I don't think there's all this excitement for Maurizio Sarri... And bet quotes for Pep went down a little bit.

Next week we'll know more!

Fully expecting Liverpool to win. Predicting an easy 3-0. However I want spurs to win because:

1. Ballon Dor will be Messi's

2. Liverpool won't get their sixth and overtake us.

3. Their annoying fans will shut up. I Love Klopp and Liverpool's squad but their fans are pure cancer.

4. It's a pain reliever for me. I still die a bit inside when I see Liverpool's logo next to Spurs in Madrid. How the f*ck aren't we in the final after a 3-0 lead? I still haven't digested that crap.

Also RIP Jose and COYS.

Yeah, it would be too much too soon for Lamps. Although, I seriously doubt if he could turn down the opportunity, if presented. The other name being touted is Nuno Santo. That seems like a safe bet to me and he's proven that he's more than capable in the top tier with the Wolves. On the flip side, he would be a stop-gap arrangement and could easily succumb to the pressure at Chelsea, especially given that he won't be able to get any players that he might want due to the transfer ban. Yes, we got capable youth players but I'm not sure how much we can rely on them to carry a team with high expectations. If CHO and RLC don't recover before the start of next season, we might be screwed. Our whole objective for next season should be to just hold onto the top 4 spot somehow so that we can attract some good talent in 2020.

Dang!

Shame the game was a dud and we'll look back thinking we could have done more. Both teams didn't really get going which when considering how both got to the final, it's a bit of an anti-climax for the neutral (and Spurs of course).

Still, I never thought I'd see us in a UCL final anytime soon. Great day of it.  :)

Looked nothing like a CL final. It seemed like a sh*tty PL fixture. I'm glad we don't have two English teams in the final every year. But regardless of all Klopp deserved a trophy after 3 finals. At this point Liverpool may have a higher chance at reaching Real Madrid in the number of CL trophies than winning the prem.

What a snoozefest. The early pen completely killed any flow there might have been to the game, Spurs lost their confidence and Liverpool were happy to sit back after that.

Obviously would have preferred Liverpool to f*ck it up, but as long as they keep falling short in the Premier League I can sleep easy.

That woman was the most interesting thing in the match. Honestly I don't care if Ajax even would lose 4-0 against Liverpool. They would've made this final worth watching. This is arguably the most boring CL final I've ever seen. Seeing Real Madrid win it was more interesting.

Whether it was the 3 week wait between the game, the temperature or final nerves, yea, that was a dull match.

City PL, FA and LC champions, Liverpool CL champions. Two best teams in Europe.

What a time to be a United fan.

I don't think that would've happened at all. Liverpool only scored one genuine goal against Tottenham. The penalty was bullsh*t, and the second goal was due to Tottenham having to take risks. They didn't do better against Tottenham than Ajax at all. The sad thing is Ajax might've had a chance against Liverpool. We'll never really know though.

It was actually gutting to watch that as a City fan, as Liverpool have always been a bit of bogey side for us.  If only things had gone a little different for us against Spurs (and by extension, Ajax); the way that Liverpool played, we would have annihilated them.

Liverpool played it perfectly. They got their early goal, and then just focused on defending and countering. How do you break down a defense that has VVD? Pretty damn hard.

Poch played it too safe. Why Kane? Why not start with Lucas? Kane was a ghost in this match.

European cup Finals from between 2 sides from the same nation almost always been underwhelming. Truly dissapointed by the technical aspect of tonight's game. Both teams looked scared to take any incentive though spurs were more skilled in build up play. But in the final part of the pitch, there was not enough risk taken. Alisson did well on the few shots he had to stop. Alli, Eriksen and Kane all below par trough the entire game. Son also not confident enough, clearly coulda taken a few shots instead of holding up play. Deserved for pool isn't the right word, but Klopp has finally broken his bad spell and since I like the guy that's okay by me.
