English teams have too much money to be dealt with by any league at the moment.

Dunno about that tbh. Barca, Madrid and PSG can all match our fees, they also pay higher wages than PL teams do. English teams have had money for a long time the issue we've had is how we've spent it, perfect example of this right now is United.

Liverpool and City are the best ran clubs in the world, with the two best managers in the world. Spurs's lack of spending and depth hurts them in the league they're capable of moments like this multiple times a season. Madrid, Barca, PSG are all ran like sh*t.

PSG yes. Madrid and Barca have turned to sh*t in the past 3 years. They had far better management in the past and they saw how it resulted in 8 UCL titles. Perez is a fraud and Madrid fans know it.

And I said League. Mid table teams in England earn much more than the rest of the teams in other leagues including Spain. They can even match teams like Atletico at times.

Yea that's fair. I mean we just had a team spend over 100m and get relegated, which is bonkers.

If Barca played their first team in the last group stage match and got a win instead of a draw Tottenham might have never gotten here. Liverpool got there by an inch as well. Funny how both of them got to the final which shows again how different collecting points and knockout stages are in terms of mentality. I wonder what would happen if the CL was actually a "league".

We'd never get nights like the last two nights ever again. Magic of the cup, basically. Knockout rounds mean anything can happen.

Yeah more amazing nights. But it means sometimes the team that actually isn't the strongest is gonna win. Don't get me wrong Liverpool deserved to go through but over the past 10-20 years I don't know how many of the champions actually deserved it. A league does more justice tbh.

I'm much too level headed right now for how horrible this was haha.. I just learned another lesson not to take football as seriously again, which as a lesson has value to me.

Monday Night - Kompany scores a screamer

Tuesday Night - Liverpool come back against Barca

Wednesday Night - Spurs snatch it from Ajax in the last second

Over to you Chelsea and Arsenal tomorrow, you've got a lot to live up to.

This will go down as the UCL of comebacks! Tottenham-Liverpool will be an interesting final, but respect to Ajax! These young players showed to all of us how, sometimes, money aren't everything and that even a low quoted team coming from the Netherlands is able to impress in the UCL.

If f*cking Ziyech would've made that chance at the end of the game in stead of hitting the post we would've been in UCL final wtf... It's so ridiculous. I think it has been so crazy that this game was almost too much to handle, and now they lost it feels like something fell off my shouders.

Football and the goddamn IFs. If Dembele had scored that f*cking chance(we probably still would've lost) . If Messi scored the penalty against Chelsea in 2012. Goddamn IFs. If the f*cking ref wasn't blind against Atletico in 2016 when Gabi's handball was inside the box.

It's all pointless. Football is the sport of moments. If you take it you win. You don't, you lose. Even if you're the best or the bravest.

Ajax played the first half like they've done in the other games: murderous, absolutely clinical.

Ajax played the second half like they did back in '17: cowardly, lacking confidence.

They got tired if you ask me. They were pressing way too intense in the first half. I knew something like this might hurt them later.

Yeah yeah.. But Ajax being so close to UCL final is completely insane with the cash that currently runs football. This is my point. If f*cking Schöne didn't kick the ball away from his own goalie we also would've made it I think. But we also had loads of luck throughout the tournament. It is complex and relative and all that, but my point is it's crazy being so close as Ajax.

I think you're right. They also did not have Neres on the counter, which was a huge miss when sitting back.

Pressing insanely and never sparing energy did great things up until now though..

The team that wins the league always deserves it 100%, you can't fluke that many games and that's what makes leagues great. But you also need competitions where magical moments can happen and the cups are the best places for them. Think of all the teams in the coming years that are going to be inspired by what Ajax did, they're proof that you don't need to spend 150m to create history.

UEFA would kill all the magic of European football over night if they ever switch to a league format. It'd be the worst idea ever in modern football if it were to happen.

As for Ajax's pressing and tiring out that's the precise reason why I  was skeptical that they could beat Spurs over two legs and why I believed Liverpool would demolish them in the final. The two teams they've pulled off amazing victories against, Madrid and Juventus, have no legs or energy in midfield, so Ajax were able to run them off the field for 70 mins and then by the time they do tire it's not like Madrid/Juve had anything left in the tank anyway. Spurs and Liverpool can run all game. They played without fear in so many of those games though that there's nothing to be ashamed about, they went out in the final seconds of the game pretty much. Heartbreaking stuff.

Now to annoy everyone in Britain; Liverpool wins the Premier League, Tottenham wins the Champions League. Absolute misery for United, Chelsea, and Arsenal supporters.

I'm down for Spurs winning the CL my self. No hatred at all for them so English pride comes into it a bit when I watch them in Europe, wanted them to win tonight for example. City winning the league is the lesser of two evils and they've got a good while before they catch up to our league trophy count, wouldn't really be mad if they won a CL or two either honestly.

Liverpool can get f*cked though.

I want spurs to win because it would be fun seeing the Arsenal fans moan in the summer. How unbelievable it is if they win their first CL title sooner than Arsenal. Also Liverpool failing means the golden ball will go to our boy Messi. If Liverpool win Van Dijk has a chance. Also Liverpool won't get their sixth and overtake us.

Betting on both to bottle it.

I'm literally not sure what mentality Chelsea would be going into the game with now that we have sealed a top 4 finish in the league. Should have been able to win the game at Frankfurt. Even at Stamford Bridge now, it feels like it could be anyone's game.

It's such a mad end to the season. I have a suspicion that Brighton will hold City to a draw.

Tottenham better wear that green kit in the final. There's clearly something magical about it.

No problem! We're ready to beat Liverpool at Anfield... More or less

But hey, they wasted a lot of energies for Barca, I think we have a chance 😁

2 Cups, 2 finals, 4 English teams... Unbelievable the dominance of the Premier League this season!

It's a shame that United isn't involved in either but it's really nice to see two all English finals. Our teams have been down in the dumps in Europe for the past few years but with the money our teams have, the managers we've now got and the way our clubs are being ran we've been hoping we'll be back as a force in Europe sooner rather than later but the Barca/Madrid dominance was so difficult to topple but it looks like English dominance might just be returning to Europe again. Really hope English teams also take the EL more seriously going forward too, it's a great trophy to win with and the reward is worth it.

Boy did Chelsea got close to bottling it! Was half expecting Sarri to sub Caballero in for the pens haha!

This is a sign of the extremely high level of the Premier league. I think England will be a proper contender for the WC in 2022 if things continue this way!

His subs were f*cking baffling. No idea why RLC was taken off and Kovacic left on the pitch. Then he brought on Zappacosta for Christensen instead of Cahill, although that sort of worked because Zappacosta did well. And apart from the lunging clearance off the line from Luiz, he was pretty much hopeless for the rest of the match. Frankfurt were really unlucky to not make it. In the second half, it felt like they wanted it more than Chelsea. I really want to know what Sarri says to the team at half time for them to come out and completely sh*t over the first half effort. I won't be putting any money on us winning the final.

Next season is going to be a litmus test if the transfer ban gets upheld. So much unpredictability with Chelsea nowadays, I really don't know what to expect.

It's good to see the English teams competing in the European competitions again however I hope the English media and fans don't get too ahead of themselves and give us a headache. They were already talking too big when they were getting destroyed in the past couple of years. I don't know what are they gonna do now.
