Ok the discs are installed and it is downloading 5GB of data from the Socialclub... after asking for the serial it connects to SC

Please read my post above. If you do get through, don't post any spoilers.

Thank you!

Surprised you're not aware of the fact that there is absolutely no way for him to get through on his own using a legit copy, lol.

Will anybody else try to use DSR to be able to play the game in 1440p or even 4K? I've been messing around with the DSR settings today for my GTX 560 Ti and I found a sweet spot of a resolution of 2880x1800.

I know some might call this a placebo effect but I'm definitely seeing an improvement in picture quality. My original resolution I run at is 1360x768 and after switching to 2880x1800 DSR - I've noticed that menu options are clearer, the graphics and textures are less blurred and messy and overall the quality is much more eye opening than running at 720p. Surprisingly enough, my monitor officially can only go up to 1400x900 and even that pales in comparison for the DSR that I've set my GPU to.

The only stark difference I've noticed is the framerate ofcourse. Most games I've tried so far only have a 5-10 FPS drop. But after changing some settings in my Nvidia Control Panel I easily won those frames back.

Some people on here thought it was a port. I know some of you already knew it wasn't. But my comment was for the people who thought it was a port and saying I was lying when I told them it isn't.

Also to the people who got their hands on a physical copy of the game early, have a good luck trying to play because you can't activate the game yet. If you do however, please do not post any spoilers. If you do, I will personally contact a moderator and have them take actions. As you already know, gtaforums do not support spoilers, and we definitely don't accept spoilers as well.

Thanks.

for my opinion its a port, good port but i prefer to wait an confirmation from R -Yes or Not

Also just one thing that surprises me in this whole ordeal, so MeltedSOX is a R* employee but how do they let him post here so often? Isn't Rockstar generally super secret?

@Antaxi: Oh my good God... http://www.pcgamer.com/rockstar-talk-4k-pc-performance-and-more/Read this veeeeeeeeery carefully. It's right there it is NOT a port, just like Max Payne, said by Rockstar.

I would die if you you'd go in-game.

But that's unlikely to happen.

that's because I'm off today. So I can freely do what ever I want. Plus, as long as I'm not spreading out inside information then I'm fine. Hell, there's employees of the company going around giving out there psn and Xbox gamertag out on their Twitter page. So why I can't do the same with a forum tha I've supported since 2007?

Just because I work with Rockstar doesn't mean I cannot go on with my daily life outside the studio. That's silly!

Definitely going to use DSR for V. I've been using it for IV ever since I got my hands on the tech, and I've been loving it. It completely eliminates most of the prominent aliasing and helps the sharpness of the game immensely. I found it better than ENB, honestly. It preserves the game's original tone and feel better than any visual modification out there, in my opinion.

I'm not sure if I'll be actively playing V with downsampled resolutions, but I will definitely try and run in 4k for screenshot purposes. Or during more tranquil moments, while relaxing.

I understand, but Rockstar being known for being very secretive, and due to let's say certain employee reviews that surface on the Internet from time to time, I would imagine that they would "reprimand" you for even mentioning you had an NDA and couldn't answer question X Y or Z (due to those reviews saying R* is overly paranoid). I know and am sure there are more employees around for some time, surprising they aren't posting like you. :p

Yes, of course, I was just comparing your situation to what some other employees seem to say on the Internet and was just curious. Thanks for the answers. :)

That's what you think. Was it a mistake telling people I am? Yes, it was, and I take full actions of that. But for you to sit here and say I'm not an employee then you're wrong because you don't know me personally.

And yes. Let's get back on topic.

Here is how to enable VSR (DSR competition for AMD cards)
