I wonder if this will have DS4 support. Far Cry 4 and AC:Unity did so I hope Rockstar will follow suit.

In the french video game website "jeuxactu" who got their hands on the game too they said.

"vous pourrez y jouer avec la plupart des manettes dont celles de la PS4, Xbox 360 et Xbox One du moment qu'elles sont connectées en filaire à votre ordinateur."

Which means,

"You'll be able to play it with most controllers including PS4's one, xbox360 and xbox one as long as they're connected to your PC with a wire"

50gb downloaded. Turned my PC off, I'm not in a hurry. This is gonna be a fun weekend away from computers, just fishing, drinking and bbqs.

@MeltedSOX Did you participate in development of GTA V for PC? What settings does Rockstar have on his mind when they say that GTX 660 is able to handle 60 FPS at 1080?

Anybody saying they work for Rockstar among the Rockstar fanbase, and not on official assignment is probably, like, a tech support person or a janitor. Just saying, they don't do this. They should. But they don't.

"This starts at the recording level, where players now have the option to start and stop their captures at will."

Looks like the 30 seconds limit was just dumb speculation.

I read that it still separates the footage in short clips.

Bah, we'll see.

There's two way to record actually, the first one is to use the 30 seconds that are recorded automatically or to press the button to start the recording (no limitation).

The 30 seconds recorded automatically are there to catch unexpected actions, which is cool.

source : from jeuxactu, a French website who played the pc version.

Yes, even though you have a continuous recording, it will still break the continuous recodings into 30 second chunks. So, if you record for 3 minutes, you will have six clips resulted..

Confirmed here:

:^:

Another thing you can do is just play the in-game footage and record it with ShadowPlay

But Whyyyy would you want to do that and miss out on the extra rendering quality of the renderer?? You should render the video, not just record it back, it takes some time, but it's not that bad at all.

If you're going to shadowplay, why not just use that and record the gameplay? If you're going to edit the camera angles and make shorts, you really want to render it out in the editor, in chunks at least, then bring the results to your NLE to edit more or whatever.

I know people were doing that to avoid the watermarks at first, so they could make chunks and put them together in more familiar software, but texture mods took off the watermarks later.

Well ShadowPlay has a pretty decent recording quality, no FPS loss and the footage is almost identical to the actual gameplay. It might be helpful in some situations especialy with the Shadow Mode function where it can capture up to 20 minutes in one clip. I agree that the video editor render is better to use for max quality since it renders directly from the game.

YouTube screws up the bitrate anyways so I don't think you would spot a difference between those two methods.

Still going to use the actual video editor, I'm just saying ShadowPlay is always an option and could be useful.

Why should it be wired ?

Does it imply that the wireless version of XB360 controler for PC (= with small receiver module plugged onto USB) won't work ???

When they said wirely connected I think they were more talking about PS4 controllers and others, xbox360 wireless controllers will work well.

If your controller works for other games then it will most likely work for GTA V. I have wireless one too, and it will work for sure.

I'd be excited to see an actual video editor video preview. It may happen today given PC Gamer published that after-hours preview. Also, glad to know that the recommended requirements are for 1080p60 on high! I'm shocked with this game's optimisation

Given the low specs, I would say 720p 30fps on low.
