It's a todo that tells them to delete the code that hides the PC status after it releases.

Nope, this is only for when they want to override the automatically detected status.

HUH?? When i saw it the windows text was black too and it was under the PC text plus all the servers said "updated on april 10th" not 9th :S

Is it past midnight for you on the 10th? Thats probably why.

Steam version will unlock at the same time or earlier perhaps to deal with decryption. Of course, it could also unlock later. Also, regional differences might come into play.

PST and EST are only 3 hours difference. You mean 3am EST.

 

And besides that, the source of this information is a Rockstar Support person, another support person has also said that the Steam version is unlocking at the same time as Warehouse, and another said that its unlocking at midnight based on your region. There has been no definitive answer as to the time of the Steam unlock yet.

Nah. While this is the typical release time on Steam (10am PST/1pm EST/6pm GMT), big games will get midnights. Over the last 2 years, I've pre-ordered probably 10 AAA games and all of them had some form of a midnight release. Literally all. There is almost no chance GTA V doesn't unlock as late as server refresh.

 

Rockstar removed the countdown from GTA V on Steam ages ago and that countdown always applies to server refresh on release day. When these are removed its almost always indicative of a midnight. Its just a question of which midnight, because they can be different and dont always apply regionally.

Sometimes it matches the change number changes on SteamDB, I feel like some of the updates are also being pushed to us.
