I don't, and this is the first time i've ever seen it. The game keeps  removing even more ammo whenever i play missions.

I bought Steam Controller. Tried it in GTA and it didn't work. After a while I found out that game should be added to Steam library to work with controller. Added GTA to Steam, configured controls and all I got was f*cking FPS drops to zero every five seconds!!!! Congrats to me guys, now I have another useless toy to collect dust on my shelf.

both Xbox and ps4 controllers work normally on PC, but I don't like autoaim. I bought SC to play in free aim.

And all R* needs to do is put out a 'coming soon' article, with maybe some screenshots - or even just names of vehicles. One new vehicle name, and it'd get the forums buzzing about something, rather than going stir-crazy...

 

This is the exact same problem they had with Heists - they released a trailer in December, then next to nothing until the update arrived three months later. They already confirmed things like the Hydra, Kuruma, etc. - could have easily put out a brief thing talking about each of the trailer vehicles, or some of the new features, as a way of maintaining interest.

 

Personally, I reckon this control-freak approach, and 'secrecy for secrecy's sake', just costs them in players getting bored and walking away (not joking: I know of former GTAO regulars here and elsewhere who just got bored and didn't bother coming back for Heists...). Sure, they're still rolling in money from GTAO - but just because they're making megabucks as-is, doesn't mean they aren't potentially leaving more still on the table, because of poor communication in the name of their whole 'mystery box' shtick...

Can't people just wait and see, do something else in the meantime? Why not DISCOVER stuff on your own by just looking around in the game when you've updated it?

And then when you've looked around but feel like you might be missing something, you turn to the internet for answers.

 

I've got plenty complaints about Rockstar and the way they've done things in GTA:O but they've added a lot of stuff (yes, mostly stuff I suppose) since the game went online years ago and people keep complaining in between updates that the next update isn't coming quickly enough.

Hey, I like this game too. But come on, give it a break already. Or rather, take a break. Surely the only way this is so incredibly super important to you is if your income depends on it somehow because you make youtube videos or something. For anyone just playing the game, stop obsessing over it. Try it!

That's the thing though, they already did. That's how we know about the update "officially", the Ocelot Swinger & the MTL Pounder Custom in the first place.

 

Like you & everyone here, I'm hoping for more information, but I'm not holding my breath. The situation reminds me of the Import\Export wait. They announce the update, someone leaks something they shouldn't leak and they go radio silence in response.

 

Anyway, I agree. This style of communication is not working out for us, but that's who they are and they have been for as long as I can remember. Expecting them to change now is like expecting El Hefe not to tweet stupid sh*t.

They literally did all three in the past few weeks lol. Even the leaks unveiled more vehicles.

 

What they need to do is be more transparent as to when exactly updates will drop. Just saying "July" isn't exactly the best way to go about things, especially when they're known for being radio silent so we all know damn well we won't hear anything else from them until we're closer to the update or when the update itself comes out. Just say a date ffs and stop leaving your fans confused. Five f*cking years of this and they still continue to do it lol.

Sorry, should have made it more clear: I mean another one - with the broader point being 'more/regular communication'. It's the pacing of new info that's the problem, as much as anything.

 

If they did a weekly tease, even just a cryptic hint as part of the usual event week promotional post, that'd go a lot further than 'once in a blue moon'...

 

Definitely agree that they'd be better off being less cryptic for cryptic's sake - by comparison, Capcom announced DLC and updates for Monster Hunter World months before the game launched, and they've done solid job of having regular teases of forthcoming content, paced well enough to stop people getting bored/frustrated.

 

Dunno if it's too late to expect R* to learn that kind of thing - it'd be nice if they used RDR2 as a perfect opportunity to do so, though...

Can't speak for anyone else, but I've got half a dozen other games I'm swapping between at the moment. That's my strategy when GTAO gets boring (for example, during the Great Weaponised Hellmouth of 2017... ) - just ...find something else. Currently almost finished Mafia II, and going back for a second run on Hard, aiming for all the collectibles and 100% completion.

 

Personally, the only reason why the lack of info is frustrating this time is because it's potentially the best update (for me, at least) in literally years. Couldn't give a s*** about Gunrunning, Smuggler's Run, Doomsday Heist, any of that (occasional decent car aside), so this is a breath of fresh air - but only if R* doesn't screw it up.

 

Something like a screenshot or two, or a trailer that shows a new vehicle or some new outfits, would give me (and a bunch of other people) more of an idea as to whether this is going to be worth the wait, or yet another non-starter. And yeah, we'll find out eventually - but the sooner we get something definite, the sooner this stops being 'Schrödinger's update'...

There should be an option to record voice lines for your character that play automatically in certain circumstances. I'd sure record a ton of voice lines for my character to yell after being cut off by the atrocious NPC drivers.

plus i'm going to b / m about weaponized vehicles (deluxo & oppressor) r* really needs to unweaponize them,

Then learn to get a f*cking solo lobby. Why do you always f*cking moan about griefers instead of using solo lobbies. You’re on xbox one, use the nat method it’s that simple. R* doesn’t need to unweaponize anything because of your ignorance

This only happened to me when I didn't own an SMG, then I'd pick up a f*cking micro from some dead goon, then the next "buy all ammo" includes SMG at around 10k. Then the picked up weapon goes away and you're back to zero.

 

So make sure you own an SMG, even if you hide it. With mk1 ammo obv.

Honestly, i agree with him. They're extremely OP, and you have to pay a heavy insurance fee if you destroy them. They never should have added those stupid flying meme vehicles in the first place, IMO. This isn't in regard to them ruining the selling missions, but them as a whole.

The player count isn't the actual problem. The problem is that the payouts are garbage, and people don't want to waste their time playing it. If it were to have 2X or 3X the payout, I'm sure people would be willing to give them a try. It's sad that over half of the game modes go unplayed in this game.

 

The insurance fee is stupid but I don't think the weaponized vehicles are op. They're easy to counter with strombergs and such. The problem is that the game limits to you sh*tty vehicles like f*cking post op vans when doing sales

agree with the second point. This game is full of old, dead content that no one plays because the payouts are absolutely terrible. Let's take survivals for example. They're old game content that are difficult and time consuming to complete. And what do you get for them? 30k if you happen to clear all waves? and that's before ammo costs. Why would anyone want to waste their time on a survival when they can do a headhunter for 20k in less than 5 minutes?
