Enter the server farm in stealth mode and silenced weapons, you can get all the hacks done without alerting NOOSE

Keep an eye on your mini map for the npc guards, take them out quietly, stay out of their radar

that way, they only get alerted as you are making your way back to the stairs

I did wonder if it was possible to stealth it. First time I did it with a team that was half incompetent and the second time when we tried to 2-man it my friend who is usually a solid team mate accidentally dropped a grenade 😂

Count me as f*cking done also. Now I'm absolutely sure C* changed up the f*cking traffic somehow when selling and sourcing I/E vehicles. They'd surely never admit it considering how much of a dick move it is. Like what the f*ck.

Can somebody tell me how the f*ck a bike flips a f*cking van?

Then I got a Roosevelt Valor sourcing job and I was f*cking done with cops and NPCs shooting my sh*t up, so I started throwing sticky bombs. You can probably guess what happened. Rage quit at that point.

And also, there shouldn't be any goddamn NPCs shooting at you even if you're in a solo session. Some peaceful people focused on business joined my session later and I no longer got any NPCs because other people were in the session, but they shouldn't be there regardless. Those assholes combined with cops and all the other drivers being borderline drunk can cost thousands in repairs. Got my worst repair bill ever ($12,000) because I got t-boned by a flatbed truck into the air with cops after me, and I landed in the LS river and not near an offshoot.

Pffft. 12k ain't sh*t. I've maxed out 3 cars at 34k each, LOL.

I'll save you the frustration and not mention that you should be bobbing in solo lobbies.

Look around your Vehicle Warehouse for somewhere to stash the car. Within one to two blocks is when the enemies spawn.

They will track you but hide the car and then just kill them in waves. Wont take more than five minutes.

My warehouse is in LA Puerta. That doesn't work.

I’ll be trying that next time. I’ve read that it’s about 4 waves of 2 cars. I have the warehouse on the lower end of Cypress Flats near the least expensive large crate warehouse, so finding an alley shouldn’t be too hard.

I did not think of using my Deluxo to shoot them however...being high up and being able to lock on combined with the Deluxo’s PV convenience is genius.

It really feels like the old Cargobob was nerfed slightly.

She seems slower and more prone to losing altitude when you're carrying a load (I/E cars in this case).

The T20 and 811 were the cars involved, and they're not the heaviest you have to source.

I could nowhere near keep out of range of those twin tail helos (Supervolito) and was on the deck just past the half way mark to my warehouse beginning at the height where the helos spawn, and ole' 'bob was sputtering out pretty bad.

This was going from the Zancodo 'photo shoot' to my warehouse at LSIA.

I've had plenty of altitude and time to do it before.

I landed the car on the beach (no damage!) and hopped out to shoot it out using a lifeguard shack for cover.

Ate a lot of snacks, didn't get killed (came very close) and drove the rest of the way to the warehouse, but man it was a lot more work than usual.

A previous photo shoot mission out in the county ended up with over $13000 damage, so I dumped the car, killed the helos, blew up the car with a Buzzard and tried again.

Before that I had to chase a Mamba in a police pursuit mission which went from near the county photo shoot location through the city, and back out into the county again.

I finally got in the car with just under 1 minute left, and over $12000 damage (and a wrecked cargobob, naturally).

My 2nd bunker sale was a Merryweather clusterfux, they killed me 3 times.

2nd coke sale was 2 boats, slow and tedious, but I got it done.

I even had a hard time finding blue or yellow Sentinels.

Whew, rough night!

I did the I/E warlord source mission with perfect stealth but still got a f*cking chopper after me? I call f*cking bullsh*t on this

Jump out of a smoking helicopter

Land on Vagos territory

Helicopter crashes and explodes somewhere far away

All the vagos immediately pull out their guns and shoot me to death

I f*cking love the AI in this game...

I love when the game breaks its own rules, like when NPCs still manage to hit me while driving a Rumpo Custom with intact bullet resistant windows.

Remember, it's not cheating if the game does it! /s

Don't forget about that music it plays daring loading.....

Almost as bad as that crap music that plays when your flying with no radio on.

Or the tiny slot in the Kurumas door armour that you can shoot people through.

The AI can nail that shot.

Also I remember i was doing Cleaning the Cat House and was being chased by the Bikers. I went over a jump, the bike followed and hit my bumper causing the bike to flip forward all while the biker was shooting me upside down. Looked like something from Fast and Furious.

Which leads me to my B&M. You can't turn the ambient music off without either having the radio on 24/7 or turning off music altogether in the settings, which also disables radio sound. If someone turns the radio off that quite clearly means they don't want to listen to music at the moment, so what moron thought it was a good idea to force music on you anyway? Especially that obnoxious sh*t.

It kinda seems that every time someone here on the B&M Railroad makes a comment about being a target with cargo they just get a quick "Well why are you selling in lobbies with other people, this ones on you!" Does no one else see the problem there? The solution shouldn't be not playing the game as intended, the solution would be to lessen the actual problem. Sure, none of us can do that, only R*. But when someone makes a B&M about how the cargobob is a target, or how getting blown out of the sky with a full warehouse is annoying, maybe don't tell them it was their fault? Because it's definitely Rockstars. We shouldn't have to trick the game with modified internet connections to be able to play it.

@Rockett800 Fully agree, and this point also pops up frequently in said discussions - it just doesn't last long, for its limited potential for quarreling and trolling (it's just too sensible). I imagine players frequently write to R* about this - at least I do - presenting alternate concepts that create win-win for the different player philosophies, or even win-win-win taking R*'s business interest into account, too. And player base changes constantly, so might R*'s business model with GTA:O another time.

The alert goes out after the 3rd hack is completed if you do stealth the job.

Oh, it gets worse. Not only are we told it's our fault and we should cheat. R* makes sure we are punished if we do stay and fight back even, lol.

Pay $10k and pick up a BS point. For defending my cargo from attack by vehicles made exactly for that.

I dont mean to sound condescending but the sooner you realise that the game is playing exactly how R*/Take Two want it to the better. Is it fair when millions worth of Cargo you grinded for hours and hours is shot out of he sky? No but they dont care and wil never change it because it fuels Shark Card sales.

I know its an old Meme by now but its true.

And to further my point, I know its not the persons fault but like I said earlier this week with how easy it is to trick the game into a Solo Public Lobby if you are not doing this then you are a fool. Let the idiots who want to kill each other ave their Public Lobbies.

Let the Tryhards, Griefers and others kill and Troll each other. The sooner people stop giving them food the sooner they will move on.

Oh, I hear ya. I never sell in solo public because of the damn NPC’s. I’d much rather have a human Johnny Rando in there, or 5 of them. Or 29. At least with them I can Ghost Org if sh*t gets too out of control.

And yeah, I know what it feels like when patience is running out while sourcing, and you start throwing stickies. Sometimes it works, and sometimes not. I’ve always felt that most of the time, the best strategy for me is to just drive fast and hope for the best. Never look in the rearview mirror, because then an NPC will drive right in front of you. Stopping while being chased in an I/E vehicle is never good.

My best advice if you’ve got NPC’s chasing you: drive against traffic (on the wrong side of the road). Lol it’s true. NPC traffic so f*cked up might as well race in the opposite lane. But it will make it so that NPC’s crash into vehicles while you (hopefully) won’t. When you’ve shaken them off, go over to the right side again.

I know it’s individual, but for me, the best way has always been to just do it fast. It might cost you a couple K in repair costs, but at least to me it’s worth it. And I don’t Bob because I find it too boring and tedious. Hope any of this helps.

This is partially why I've given up on I/E lately. I tried a sourcing mission last night because I was bored, got a high end car, grabbed it, drove back to the warehouse whilst being chased by npcs and f*ck me, it was almost unbearable. The traffic already seems to have been getting progressively more obnoxious and annoying in recent months, but being chased by npcs which makes them drive like idiots turned them into overdrive. I could barely drive 20ft without a car driving into my Lane, or swerving into me and doing anything to get in my way. And this allows the npcs to catch up to me causing tons of damage. I swear it wasn't this bad a month or so ago.

Thanks for the "warning"; I don't take it as condescending, since your words ring very true.

Yet I am still convinced that change is always possible, and so I beat on :)

I admit it's the "the sooner … the better" part that gets to me a bit. It smells defeat. Again this rings true, but I have to take at least one shot at this. The official nature of this thread allows for it anyway, or maybe I just want to show off my own bit of not-condescension, I'm genuinely not sure. It's one of those days, again 👍

R*/T2's Spiel is one of the oldest tricks in the book. They exploit an atmosphere of scarcity and mistrust they have artificially created for that very purpose. The system does not meet any greater resistance partially because poison often goes where poison is welcome, as enough players don't mind operating within a faulty system as long as they think they are on the winning side, or at least feel comfortable having yet enough weaker players still below them to trod upon.

But there are other business models, even with chances of win for everyone, including R*, that's all I said. Encouraging R* to adapt them will 99,9% not change anything, I am entirely aware of this, but luckily I have the occasional 15 minutes to waste to write them another mail anyway, so don't begrudge me my hopes.

Peace and out 🖖 I will not defend this point further, since enough threads have already been flooded by basically the same discussion.

Unless you already own a cargobob, I wouldn't go out and buy one just to do I/E.

How much can you really save with the bob?

How much does it cost?

How many cars would you have to sell to have the bob pay for it self?

You'd have to sell 1,000 cars before you see a profit.

Just get the car and drive fast!

I only ever attempted the (2x) Mogul sale with about 7 people in my organisation, and I still lost an engine towards the end of it. The sales are all nightmares. The Hunter one is a  deliberate troll as it forces you to fly up and down the full length of the map several times to different drop points, and doesn't let you skip to the closest ones.
