Same here, I wont bother with that anymore, and there are a few other resupply runs that I am starting to avoid as well.

Yep. To be fair, now that these events have boosted my bank well, I pay for more and just enjoy other areas of the game. The VIP and contact missions week, and these dispatch missions have seen a few more PvE guys pop up, been an awesome spell. I don't do much freemode these days now, and given up trying for 600 resupplies with the bunker to see that egg mission, lol. Would've been nice though.

Never know, I might pop by in a few years and it pops up, lol.

Griefing isn't justifiable at all in any situation. Point I was getting at is it is a lot easier to stop someone griefing you when they are in a helicopter apposed to the big three OP vehicles.

That wasn't the initial argument, but fair enough.

So you're justifying Hunter and Akula grieifing on the basis that it's not as common?

Right, so it's justfifiable for a Hunter to grief simply because it's not as prevalent. By this logic, if griefing was more prevalent with the Akula, Savage, or Hunter, then you would be okay with Deluxos and Oppressors griefing, since they're not as common.

So it's not the type of vehicle used that's the problem -- it's how often it's used generally.

Hmmm...

It's kinda like hating certain types of music only because they're popular. Well, most popular music is trash, so I'll give you that, but that's subjective. I'm gonna have to agree and disagree here. I would rather prefer to grief in a vehicle that's not as widely used; it makes everything more interesting and fun because it's not the norm. But it's still illogical to oppose Oppressor griefers simply because their weapon of choice is the popular one.

I'm not justifying it, if anything, both the Hunter and Savage with their Explosive Cannons and the Akula with its Stealth Mode are pretty OP too.

I think most people are biased against these so called "meme vehicles" because of their widespread use and because they're also pretty OP on their own.

Notice that almost no one complains about the Vigilante and Stromberg, even when both have the same kind of missiles as the Ruiner 2000/Deluxo and the latter can actually survive an explosion. It's because no one use them.

There's also the issue that unlike most military vehicles in the game, all of these "meme vehicles" are pretty unrealistic for GTA's own setting and tone, which while not exactly a bad thing (GTA V's Story Mode had a functional James Bond car after all), it's quite jarring seeing a suicidal cybergoth firing extremely accurate rockets in a hot pink bootleg flying Delorean taking down proper military vehicles with ease.

Same here, with the current event I am just paying for the supplies most of the time and running VIP work to cover some of that money.

I am still going for that 600 , will get back to it after the event week is over.

Exporting a low-range car from my garage with Cargobob. Got attacked by meme-Opressor and! Deluxo. Released the car in time and landed the Bob savely (more or less) - jumped in the "damaged" car and delivered it. Ordered Akula and hunted the two idiots. Got called "pu$$sy" for blowing up their meme-vehicles afterwards. Guys, get a life^^

I've been using the Vigilante a lot, before the Deluxo came out. I used it mainly, because of the looks. What can beat that 4 humungus tyre ass? And the ignition sound....., golden. But, it has it's downsides too. It's fairly easy to blow yourself up in this car and curbs are a problem. Also, it steers like a boat. Hated it for that, but then again, loved the boost. Nice toy, nice meme mobile, got shelved when the Deluxo launched and sold somewhat later. It wouldn't have been a very good griefing machine, due to it not being very agile.

True, but they're easier to deal with than Deluxos or Oppressors since they're much bigger targets and aren't as maneuverable. It's anecdotal evidence, sure, but I've always been able to counter an Akula whereas a Deluxo or an Oppressor can GTFO of Dodge quicker.

You forgot it don't pay for shooting down a chopper either.

The reason why nobody (or rarely anyone) complains about the vigilante or the stromberg is that they are pretty balanced for what they are.

They may have highly accurate missiles, but unlike the deluxo and the opressor, they are fairly limited in their movement since they both can not fly. There are many spaces where these two can not reach you and there are many ways to counter them (even with pre gunrunning equipment).

A skilled buzzard pilot can take down a vigilante or a stromberg rather quickly (pro tip: use machineguns against strombergs) while trying the same against a deluxo or opressor in said buzzard is pretty much suicide.

But you have to take into account the fact that the Oppressor has a limited boost that requires contact with a surface to get back, and riders are vulnerable to crashing and falling off their bike in doing so, and that the Deluxo is slow as piss when flying.

My bitch and moan of the day:

Why the frack does my Cargobob keep self destructing?!?!?!?

I park it in the little courtyard in front of my office building, and as I'm flying my Buzzard away to get something else, I hear 'booom' and get the message again that my aircraft has been destroyed.

WTF!

Sometimes this happens when I park it in the yellow lined box in the parking lot of my car warehouse (near LSIA).

Nothing should spawn there, and there should also be no traffic to run into it.

So freakin' irritating!

then I have to stop what I'm doing, pay another $200 to Pegasus and fly over to the airport to fetch my slow ass cargo heli.... AGAIN!

It seems there's a new passive mode glitch that allows you to bypass the passive mode cool-down timer. Ran into two tryhards in the last two days who were able to go passive mode and then back out of it and then back in within less than a minuet. I looked up to see how new this glitch is to get a understanding of it but only glitches I could find were ones that would allow you to use weapons while in passive mode. Nothing about bypassing the cool down timer for it.

Then these tryhards proceed to call us "trash" after they've gone into passive mode and we've already smashed them 10+ times before they went passive. My friend calls them out for having to take advantage of glitches & exploits in the game to either coward out or fight. Without the broken PVP system or glitches I doubt these sh*theads would be able to fight. Their combat skills are so poor that like I said they have to take these advantages to fight. That's pretty embarrassing to be honest but these Tryhards get a huge boner when they think their hot sh*t with the tactics they use.

Oh and Tryhards don't like the khanjali being used against them (go figure) they'll either suicide out when they see it coming or they'll go into passive and then go and get their weaponized vehicle or teleport back to their apartment and stay there for the rest of the session or time you camp outside their apartment waiting for them to come out.

Boost on the ground and then pull up and you will be able to boost mid air and reach incredible hights.  Its nearly impossible to hit because that thing is so small and the missiles rarely miss.

The deluxo may be slow as piss but it makes up for that with its bullsh*t missiles and the ability do dodge missiles by turning on the spot.

No helicopter, is as OP as these two toys.

OnT of meme vehicles; it’s just annoying that someone can, without any practice, buy a vehicle that lets you hover around and hold down one button to kill everything in sight. Especially when you’ve perfected the ability to dodge missiles and line up free-aim killshots with a Buzzard, and then have everyone and their mother’s flying cars shoot missiles that  just cant be dodged.

Luckily I’ve found ways around it, but eitherway, judging from experience, the players looking for fights while using either the Deluxo or Oppressor are the most self-entitled, sore losers you’ll ever come across. At least with some of the jet pilots, they appreciate a good dogfight.

I hate it because only twats drive it in order to cause trouble. I sometimes just patrol in the Akula until I see one then shoot it down on sight. I can even tell when players are calling up Mors Mutual to replace it, and are waiting for it to be delivered again. As soon as I see that icon I destroy it again. I don't care about how much it costs.

In fact, I win money in races just to pay Deluxo insurance lol

Utterly bizarre. It's a sensational vehicle that has, for me, breathed new life into a dying game.  Why do you care what other people are doing with it? You're complaining about people griefing in it but then you admit to blowing them up for absolutely no reason other than the fact they are driving a Deluxo lol.

Also, I have never used a Deluxo to grief anyone. Infact, I don't think i've ever griefed anyone full stop.  Not everyone is out to get you.

To be honest this had nothing to do with PC specifically, it just that at a certain distance (the distance can actually vary)  you can shot through walls which is of course easily doable due to the thermal vision.

So i had a guy in a P-996 Lazer try to ruin my Hanger sale mission. I was in a Helicopter on my last 2 deliveries, when a guy in his Jet try to shoot me down. He was using his machine guns, because i assume he wasn't able to lock onto me with his missiles. Regardless, he was a terrible shot, only managing to shoot me once, but not enough to kill me.

I managed the 5th delivery just fine, but my engine started failing on my final delivery, and he managed to kill me. I only lost a few thousand dollars, as my reward was going to be $200K, but i made $193K. He got a whole $2G, and to make matters worse, he spent 12K to go ghost organization. Normally, i would be mad at getting my sell missions being ruined, but i couldn't help but laugh at his stupidity.

He is either really terrible at math, or really wasnted that easy kill for his K/D.

I swear some people on this board are allergic to fun. Like its just a game, seriously, chill. Personally I live for "memevehicles" as people call them. They add a bit of flavor to the game imo, if you use them for something other than griefing.

I had THREE!!!! of these in a row yesterday.

The first I barely finished. the second two ended as usual a mile & half from the final drop point.

I actually prefer the Merryweather (which is a tough one solo) sell mission to those stupid dune buggies.

A few weeks back I had dropped the fourth package on the other side of the dam and had to run back down the twisty dirt road and into the city (but not far enough to worry about time) for the final drop.

Like I said, should have had lots of time, but the filthy POS dune buggy slid around one corner, over the cliff and BLOOP into the reservoir.

Even the Marshall is better for sell missions, and it handles like you're driving a bouncy castle.

The dune buggy is slow, can't turn for $#!T, flips over far too easily, and the drop points are spread too far apart.

Never again!

Also yesterday, I discovered why I can't keep a Cargobob in front of my office.

While approaching after having 4 bobs immediately destroyed I saw the whole building tile flash and respawn.

I now park the bob on the roof of the Bahama Mamas across the street.

Why do I care what other people do with it?

Maybe because 9 out of 10 times, it is some zero brain tryhard looking for an easy kill.

And thats why I hunt down every unknown deluxo until it and it's driver are nice and toasty. The 1 out of 10 times I hit an innocent deluxo thats the same kind of collateral damage I have to face when I cruise around in my savage.

Just because you have not used it to grief other people that does not mean others have.

I also do not use my lazer to grief (I dont grief at all, except for shooting down deluxos and opressors) but other people do.

They are nothing but easy troll machines for people who are so sh*tty that aiming lazer canons would require to much skill for them.

I can easily take out Oppressors if I'm in a Hunter, a jet, or a Deluxo. Missiles are incredibly hard to dodge with the Oppressor unless you know the tactics. Many jump off the bike before the missile hits them because they know they're f*cked.

I've been pondering that question for a while, for I really don't think the R* people are dumb.

Unless they are running a bizarre hate machine experiment along the lines of how bad you actually can run a system with the participants still hacking and slashing at each other instead of going after the leadership (I can see where this kind of sociological calculus would come in useful), marketing folks must have figured out at some point that somewhere between idiotic griefer scum and stressed out gamers more game copies and shark cards are bought than by an overall happier and healthier community, which I find quite a disheartening outlook on the overall condition of the gaming scene.

I'm not serious about any of the aforementioned points. They just don't care because they still think they don't need to, I guess; instead of worrying about the bad gamers we just have to somehow find better ways to organize constructive gaming.

Ha ha, this is me, the queen of social anxiousness, talking. Maybe I really should think of something.
