On to complaints.

 

When GTA decides to f*ck you, it really decides to f*ck you. Playing the stealth tank mission with randos. I flank around and clear ads and B line for the tank because I wanna drive. Get there, kill like...8 f*ckers and go to climb into the tank. NOPE. A guy in a spot I JUST cleared blinks into existence and casually swiss cheeses me while I'm locked into my get into the tank animation. Other guy dies at the same time so we restart. Same plan. Decide I'm gonna GRENADE LAUNCHER this one motherf*cker that hassled me before. The guy that standsin the door of the plan wreck in the back. I shot him, and he tumbled out of sight, but he was still up there. Staring at me. Menacingly. I carefully line up my grenade, anticipating it to maybe bounce around but hopefully ping right into him. Shouldn't have any pro- And it pings straight back at me. BUT IT MISSES ME. So I roll and jump out of the way of the deton- and the very edge of the boom clips me and I ragdoll.

 

Plus, trying to do the Avenger setup on hard....I'm not sure if I'd prefer having my teeth drilled or not, but it's damned tempting. Whoever thought it was a good idea to spawn 100+ f*ck nuggetss in every corner of a dark room and give them the ability to all single out ONE f*cker needs to have his balls kicked up into his throat. We gave the setup three attempts, and on the second I got plastered by a guy across the hangar, and on the third, I barely got my NVGs on before several of the f*cks in the rafters lazor beemed my forehead.

 

I'm glad I can keep my cool a lot better than when I was a teenager. I can't afford to replace controllers one a month.

The amount of people who don't understand GTA cars is f*cking ridiculous. Then again, the majority have never even driven a car, let alone know all the intricacies from cars with heavy cpu restrictions to, completely in the hands of the driver.

I've taken so many breaks since ...Freemode Events, honestly. Seems like every time an update came out after Ill-Gotten Gains, there'd be some really frustrating deal-breaker that made me go and play other games for light relief.

Back in the first year of the game, I'd struggle to fit new releases into my schedule, because I'd invariably go back to GTAO, and even more so with the 2014 re-release. Meanwhile, starting with Freemode Events? MGSV, Tomb Raider, Saints Row IV, Sleeping Dogs, Monster Hunter World, Elite Dangerous, SuperHot, Forza Horizon 2, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, plus bits of Final Fantasy XV, Watch Dogs 2, Star Trek Online, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, GTA IV, and I've got various other things (Mafia II/III, both Life is Strange games, Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc.) in my library for the next time R* put out an update that makes me even less inclined to play GTAO.

 

 

And in all honesty, if R* could do one or two updates to fix a few of the more nagging things, add some less gimmicky new modes, plus some clothes/cars that aren't either gimmicky or broken, I'd probably be able to go back to the 'I need no other games - GTAO does everything!' days of 2013-2015 - gladly! As it is, I've almost given up all hope for this game, and I've got very low expectations for the likes of RDR2, or any future R* titles.

I'm taking a break myself...mostly because I'm forced to. Every time I try to do something in GTAO, I'm getting dropped. I joined 3 different races the other night and after sitting in a full lobby for 10 minutes each waiting on what f*ck stick to join, I get dropped and put onto a race track by myself. No money in racing an empty server.

Yep. I'm off this week and I'm barely even touching GTAO. When the lovely wife cuts me loose after dinner, GTA is my source of fun until bedtime and my friends are barely on because they're getting bored. Kind of a bummer.

Three times last week, I had the thief holding the crate just spawn under the map for no reason whatsoever. Two of those times, I was able to recover the cargo (I heard screaming, then nothing, then the crate would spawn on the road) the third time though, there was nothing I could do, I had to wait out the stupid 10 minute timer or whatever.

 

I also had merryweather Valkyrie guys just become suspended in mid air multiple times

I found a wall in the sky near Zancudo once, doing Extradiction. I was in my Deluxo up in the air, above the ocean, flying well out of sight of any thing and anyone, waiting for my 4 stars to wear off. Shot a missile and blew myself up. Got the "You Commited Suicide" message and a $20K bill to boot. Walls in the sky, I tells ya....

Yes. Load in and look, if theyre f*cking terrible, close app. Rinse and repeat until you get some easy ones. I do the same thing every day. As long as there arent deathmatches, captures or LTS, Im content. I hate those modes as is and Im not about to do them because it tells me to.

Ive logged maybe 5 hours since the disaster that is SASS dropped. The sad part is Im a car guy and I tend to race quite a bit in this game. Could have been a real decent filler DLC for a guy like me. All they needed to do was add more cars, some new races, and maybe a few long over due fixes. Instead they BROKE the new cars, ruined the heritage of the Hotring racer by completely ignoring everything about it that made it fun in SA, and added one of the most ignorant and ill conceived race / adversary mode hybrids you could think of.

 

Its interns man, thats all it is. Rockstar has turned this game over to half wits who are working for free. Im kind of hoping this is the end because right now its a goddamn dumpster fire. The real surprise to me is the fact that I expected nothing from this update, literally nothing. I honestly thought theyd add some cars I woukd be meh about and new stunt / Transform races I would also be meh about...and yet they managed to disappoint someone who had no expectations...that takes skill!

You can just turn the whole system off or close the app, may take a few times to get dailys you want tho. That's how I got my daily rewards lol, just be careful not to make the game save.

Yes I got charged for choosing to defend myself and my supplies (The APC) by blowing up the other players "Griefluxo" (Deluxo) after had fired shots at me first (Luckily missed twice) . Just as well this wasn't a crappy van supply run.
