The Official B*tch & Moan Thread (Part 2)

I never thought I’d post here but I’ve just had one of those days.

 

I load up the game (calibrating brightness as I’ve been prompted to do every fricking day this week.) After adjusting my settings I leap into Online and decide to have a bash at the Hardest Target AM.Team balancing is off, so naturally everyone piles into my team until it’s nine versus three. After a brief eternity - throughout which we were treated to hard core fighting talk and (one for the connoisseurs) a beeping smoke detector – the match starts.

 

It’s 6-4 and not in my favour. The numeric advantage, some delightful lag and the fact that I am playing like complete dog sh!t means we get a firm kicking in the first round. Fortunately, our opponents had the good grace to ignore their superior numbers and spent the interval mocking us with impressive volume and repetitiveness. We fared much better in Round Two, which almost took forever, but again the opposition prevailed.

 

Then we gained another body and crushed Round Three. By Round Four it was six vs five in our favour – until a network error ended my participation.

I got lost in the clouds so I restarted my game. After retrieving my controller I once again calibrated brightness, adjusted settings and entered Online. Another attempt at Hardest Target failed to launch when an On Call player got jammed up in the works. I returned to free roam (to find that my PV had been inexplicably destroyed) and again accepted Martin’s offer of a bout of Hardest Target. Another spell in the clouds had me a little furious but I was eventually dumped into a Three Round Match. Only it was Tiny Racers.

 

I had forgotten about Tiny Racers. You probably had too. You may even have microwaved your head to erase the memory. But it’s still out there. It’s still waiting. So tread carefully, my friends, tread carefully.

Context: Rescue Agent 14 setup

 

So these 3 dumb f*cks took both choppers leaving me and agent 14 for ourselves. I texted them in game and kindly requested an answer as to why they all 3 left me. I got no response for their lack of reading comprehension and lack of teamwork. So I call in my bf surfer and decide to drive him to the location. Obviously I couldnt pass up the scenic route so I took a little detour. Oh and of course I accidentally ended up in a pond which unfortunately drowned Agent 14. So we restart and they decide to play as a team now.

 

My point is that this awful experience is just the tip of the sh*thole that are other players in this game.

jeeez,when will people learn that the most expensive visual mods don't increase performance compared to the cheaper mods. you can add the smallest custom spoiler and it will have the same downforce as the biggest one. so why not get a good looking spoiler,bumper etc?

If you curb-boost you deserve to be kicked.

Its downright scummy and shows that someone is unable to race properly. Its on the same stage as ramming and driving the oposite way.

How I get dips down to 5-15 FPS and sometimes constant low FPS in GTA Online, even if it's only me and two other players in a session.

Xbox One apparently has the specs of a 2010 PC

How do you see what your FPS is on Xbox 1?

 

I don't but I own the game on PC too and my frames hover around that range because I have a potato (2009 family computer with a new GPU) and I've compared my Xbox to my PC (On the same model monitor) and the 5-15 FPS on PC look very similar to the frames I'm getting on my Xbox

You are using the broken physics system to gain speed where you should actually loose it.

I race public on a regular basis and do not curb-boost. And guess what 90% of the time I win, because the curb-boosters cant drive properly and crash at every turn.

 

If you curb-boost and get kicked for doing so there is only one thing I can say: Good!

I think you care far too much about how other people play the game. It's just a game, and I'm not exactly losing sleep over what the racing police say.

 

You make it out to be a gamebreaking issue, but you also say you still win 90% of races even with curb-boosters... so if you're winning 90% of races, curb-boosting clearly isn't that big of an issue to you.

 

GTA isn't a serious racer. I'll never treat it as such. I'll save that for Forza and DiRT. But you've clearly got your opinions and I honestly didn't realise curb-boosting hurt so many people so deeply... so I've accepted that if I want to play the way I want to play, I'll just have to get used to the rule-police kicking me anytime I do something they don't like.

So we were on the final stretch of the doomsday scenario and someone dies. Ok so lets restart the checkpoint. Welp that didnt happen because apparently some f*cktard was spectating. Thanks for wasting 30 minutes of my life and depriving me of my 35% cut.

So we were on the final stretch of the doomsday scenario and someone dies. Ok so lets restart the checkpoint. Welp that didnt happen because apparently some f*cktard was spectating. Thanks for wasting 30 minutes of my life and depriving me of my 35% cut.

Rockstar are f*ckin dumbasses for even allowing spectating knowing it totally wipes out all checkpoints if you fail after someone starts spectating

 

Either someone didn't play test this sh*t properly or these morons just did it on purpose to f*ck with us. I found this out the hard way and immediately turned allow spectating off in the options menu.

Would me turning allow spectating off trump other players settings? If I was the only one in a 4 player heist with spectating turned off would that prevent anyone spectating the other 3 players or just me?

 

It's only happened to me once during act 1 finale, so it could have been worse.

Only the host has the option of being spectated, after which you can switch between spectating the other players but the other players don't have the initial option of being spectated.

Had a falsely verified Xbox user doing both, and shooting through f*cking walls on foot the other night.

 

Remember how I said he was Verified, he managed to get in my game (Despite me blocking the f*ck) And I went to report him again (Cause he was still doing both) And turns out he lost that all important check mark on his profile. Driftsquad4 was his name
