...I really, really hope R* delivers with December's update, because the next thing's apparently just more Freemode Warfare stuff. I imagine the clothing's going to be more crappy-textured reskins, the hairdos are going to be either gimmicky or non-existent, and yaaay, most likely another drip-feed of supercars...

I've not really enjoyed an update since ...Ill-Gotten Gains in 2015 - and all the Freemode business stuff is completely wasted on me, since it's all public-only PvP nonsense (and all themed around stuff I'd happily see excised from the game altogether - I just don't care for playing as a biker, a corporate schmuck, or a CIA-sanctioned arms dealer, thankyouverymuch...). If there's no sign of a change in theme/content soon, I'm just going to have to walk away, because I'm just wasting my time every time an update comes out, and it's just another non-starter for me.

.....and I really hate how the rusty old van seems to be a common GR pickup. f*ck, that thing is so slow and I have to drive it up to Grapeseed. Any jet or rocket bikes can easily catch up to this thing.

Why as everyone in multiplayer gaming lost the ability to send game invites to players that they have added as friends on there respective consoles since we all jumped on GTA5?

 

GTA4, RDR, Max Payne 3....... invites was sent no problem.

Is this a thing I didn't know about? I can't watch tv in the garage on both my characters. As soon as I turn on the tv I go into an infinite loading screen that I can only get out of by joining friends or quitting the app. TVs in my apartments, office and bunker (and clubhouse I assume) work fine (I blame those gosh darn dupers ).

The worst is if you have the bunker raid and have to land the valkyrie there it explodes too and you lose half of your weapons. Happened to a friend 2 or 3 days ago i was sitting at one of the miniguns. Damn we cursed they really need to fix this. The trick to avoid the explosion is to land at the most outer line of the yellow circle as far away as possible.

So I went to refill my coke place with supplies and forgot to disband before walking out. when outside, I saw the disband option greyed out, and I knew what was about to happen. My coke lab only had one bar, so it was definetly my meth lab.

 

BUT IT WASN'T!

 

It turned out the cops hambushed me just as I walked out, but I barely escaped them and blew them up with a Buzzard. They play cheap games, so can I.

 

I thought raids would only happen if your stock was higher than 50%. Such inconvenience upsets me!

You can get raids when the product is at 1 bar too. It's the minimum limit.

How do you get phantom wedges? All I get is dune buggy, monster truck or the occasional armed insurgent!

 

To bitch about the FAV buggy is why the *insert curseword* not equipped with a snorkel? Hade a sale and needed to pass the canal when a buggy drowned!

Not for me. I was using the tv in my 331 Supply St garage to keep my game going back in a dupe glitch last year. I just noticed it myself a few weeks ago on my 2nd, checked and my main character's garage tvs (all of them) are glitchy.

Long story short, my cousin gave me his PS3 copy and I played the story then played online. We both said "why not, ooh foliage graphics and heists" and bought the PS4 version. Anyway, after a truckload of grinding I reached level 100 mostly through missions for my gold Above the Law trophy. Actually, after doing a gang attack to reach 101 the trophy popped--for anyone trying that, beware!--so that was a frustration and overdue relief.

 

I really never got into the 'random people being jerks and killing each other' thang, so I just play solo or friends only so I can select missions in case I want to grind. The snow last winter was cool...I wound up buying a high-end apartment once the Heists Update came out. We did a few missions, but were bummed when it started taking more than 2 players to even PLAY THE FREAKING HEIST. So stupid...as y'all know it's hard to find randoms that will play or be any good and not screw the pooch for everybody. Really stupid heist setup, honestly...R*!

 

Then R* gave me a million dollars or something, so we bought a bunker. I'm flat broke, but I got back into it because it was fun again after NOT having to play for the trophy. I sold some cars and my high-end apartment because what's the point if I can't even jump out my own windows for laughs or start a rampage from a skyscraper. Did some house hunting and found a new garage to go with it. Feel better about starting fresh in a way. Plus the bunker missions are ready to go.

 

Anyway, this game is frustrating but I enjoy it. Just wish it was easier to make money, or if they had added updates that enliven locations in-game (race track/casino, etc) instead of these other updates that seem really tough to even enjoy. Lots of location are just so empty other than NPCs and I wonder if R* meant to do something with them or if it's a tease for GTA 6. But I still enjoy the graphics and driving around, exploring locations (albeit empty) and causing chaos for NPCs or taking on the ruthless cops.
