Special vehicle missions....Am I asking too much of you CEO's? Could you just land the chopper without blowing yourself or others up?

Heh. Wondering the opposite here. Seems I can't fly us anywhere without literally all three guests trying to get themselves killed by jumping out at a horrible time. I'm attempting to discourage that behaviour by flying low as much as possible now, but some of them really can't help themselves. Can't just wait a few extra seconds and exit the vehicle normally and safely.

They're probably doing it because either they think it's a race or in the case of the single special vehicle missions they want to be driving it. Or to be the gunner. Doesn't matter because if I'm hosting and I've got my mind set on any role, I WILL be playing that role and the mission won't be continuing. Silly buggers.

I don't like to export cars with friends because they just don't listen. I tell them to stop and take out enemies chasing us because it cuts down on traffic driving all willy nilly and it earns us all more money. But they still insist. I have a certain way I do things that is more effective by myself. I exit the warehouse, take the tracks to Lester's factory, take out enemies, then drive sensibly. With two others that doesn't happen because they just drive and always end up hitting traffic that is going nuts because enemies keep shooting. I don't mind helping with MC stuff and their businesses at all. It nets a bit of change as an MC member and helps them out. But I prefer doing exporting myself. Too many variables that I can't control. I even help friends export cars from time to time. I just prefer to lone wolf stuff. Was the same way with crates.

Get better friends.

Ergh. If the horrible players aren't enough to deal with, Rockstar clearly hasn't learned anything from other developers making online games for the past decade and more.

I'm hosting a SV mission and three players join on call. I kick the R11 one. Sorry, buddy! Anyway, I'm quite happy just having two teammates for this so I attempt to start the mission. System tells me I have to wait because someone's joining, I try again. Still just the three of us. But then when we actually spawn into the helicopter, there's four of us. What? Noone visibly joined the lobby before I started. This guy just appeared out of thin air. A rank 3 player. Terrific. Because I don't feel like backing out and trying to find a new group without even a single attempt, I fly over to the airstrip (we're doing the mission for that silly carrier truck) and land it. Everyone gets out normally and there's no problem. We kill a few NPC's. Then I see the newbie run into some enemies, I try to save him by shooting a bunch but he dies. Zero kills. One death.

So, the system somehow snuck a player into a Hard difficulty SV mission, someone whom I think didn't even have the rank you should have if you do the tutorial missions. Then we arrive on the score screen and (I THOUGHT this was an option) I cannot exit. All I can do is wait and either select RESTART or CONTINUE. Thankfully only one other player selects an option and we've got two continues, which results in us spawning back into a public session together. At the very least there's some distance and obstacles between us, because you know what people are like.

I can't be bothered to get into a fight with anyone so I want to go into passive mode, but as you'll know, you can't do that while you're in an organisation. So ofcourse I want to disband my little group of misery but the game tells me that sub-menu is not available at the time.

So that's three things Rockstar is doing wrong. But wait, there's more! While the SV missions have the advantage of being able to restart from a checkpoint even if one player leaves (as long as you still have two left, I guess) it has the disadvantage of forcing you to be in an organisation together. If you spawn together you can't shoot eachother, so one would think that's a good thing. But people can leave the organisation and instantly turn on you. You might outnumber them but you don't know if your guest players are friends who grouped up together. Or maybe the others who haven't left your organisation yet are too slow to react. Whatever the case, I much prefer the way they did it in the equally shoddy heist system. Turn on passive mode before joining, automatically be in passive mode after you spawn into free mode. Perfectly safe. Instead, you have to hope you can leave the organisation and go into passive mode before anyone knows what's happening (gotta get some distance first) or if you REALLY don't want the hassle, quickly go offline like I'm doing now. You can call me paranoid, but I have no interest in letting my terrible teammates (of whom I make a habit not to provoke in any way, physically or verbally) get a cheap kill on me when we arrive in a public session. Too many times ungrateful idiots that received my help/guidance turned on me and didn't always fail to kill me.

So, to sum up..

-System sneaking unfit players into jobs.

-Can't turn on passive mode quickly because you're in an organisation.

-Can't always leave the organisation quickly because of some issue. And even if you can, it's unsafe to do so near the other players.

-Cannot kick players from the group anywhere but in the lobby and good luck getting random people to help you votekick someone.

-Unable to simply leave immediately on the score screen, have to rely on others to pick the option you want or you gotta exit the job with your phone.

Coming back to my remark about Rockstar not learning from other developers, what I mean is that if they gave a damn about their community they could work on their multiplayer systems and make things less frustrating for everyone by changing or adding some simple things. I'm not gonna go into the whole list of ideas/suggestions I might have but just for example, I'd like to be able to get rid of a player instantly as a host while doing the job. Even if as a direct result of that we lack the number of players required to play the mission, just send us back to the lobby together then. Otherwise, have the target player kicked out and should that end up in mission failure, let us restart from a checkpoint or the start of the mission without sending us all back to free mode separately.

PS. If you have a problem with people (myself included) kicking low rank players from missions like the one I mentioned here, sorry. High rank does not guarantee good performance and low rank does not guarantee bad performance. But statistically (and from experience) speaking, most random people I've met in the game are idiots and being low rank usually meant they were even worse. It's entirely possible that someone has made a new character and didn't boost their rank like is now possible, but getting kicked for your rank is simply a risk you'll have to accept then. We all deal with it, I've been kicked from lobbies a second after joining for mysterious reasons as well, probably also being too low/high rank at times. If you want to avoid it, rank up, play with friends or try to quickly send messages to hosts that you're an experienced player.

Yea I feel you. Thank god I was able to find 2 workaround for the SV missions.

One is to obviously join on call from an invite only session while in passive; you do usually spawn in invite only still in passive.

The second option is to add these jobs into a playlist, so you are not forced to form an organization, can host from invite only and put passive too.

If you are on PC, I can give you a link to a playlist of SV missions if you want

Gimmie. They pay like sh*t, even with the 2x but they're fun as hell.

The one thing I don't like is dumping you in a random session afterwards.

The other thing is I stay in passive when accepting a heist. So when we finish it one asshole turns around and kills everyone.

It's gonna suck when CEOs start doing it by messing with Friendly Fire.

This is the GTA equivalent of being sent off to war, and finding out one of your squad-mates is a toddler just before you head off on your first mission.

That's what it feels like, yeah.

@Thehunteroftruth: Greatly appreciate the offer for the playlist, but I was just going about unlocking the vehicles. Never really bothered with them when they were out but since they pay more I thought this would be a good time to unlock the last few on my main character and all of them on my second. As for efficiency, I'm trying to ease up on my expectations and desires for these missions (playing on Hard difficulty, getting to drive most of the vehicles) just so I can finish them.

Thing is, even when I resolve to let just anyone take the wheel, if they turn out to be pricks about it I lose my patience with them and stop the mission. For example when I fly over to the Phantom Wedge and instead of landing quickly and running to the drivers seat, I hover for a second for the jumpers and slowly go down. I wait, noone takes the seat and I go in. Then someone decides they do want to try and attempt to drag me out of it. This is self-inflicted harm, but at that point I'd rather end the mission and find others than keep going and just let them get away with it.

EDIT: This is both a selfish thing and (I hope) the tiniest of all community services. If we're not teaching bad players/teammates about consequences, they'll continue doing bad things.

I'm trying to make some money running I/E missions, went good yesterday low to no damage on the cars finished the day with selling a Mamba, character wakes up in the office, go to computer source car, of course since I just sold the Mamba and I got 31 cars in the garage it's going to give me an other Mamba.

So I go to pick up car, deal with the guards no problem, drive the car away, more guards, stop the car and get out before they can shoot it, bad spot windy hill road, guards and choppers abound, they get good angles and I go down, more of them go down, explosions and people falling over dead spook the locals...and the fire truck that came to put out the burning helicopter, they ram the Mamba, no choice but to drive further down and find a better spot.

So I take a few bullets to the car, more damage, now at 3k+ already, car is safe, but the place is a bad spot for me, take lots of damage, constant using of snacks and new body armor, still go down to the guys in the chopper, finally beat the last wave.

Drive off, took way too long, timer, because the Mamba drives like sh*te it's fishtailing everywhere, 5k damage, 8k damage, nearly at the garage hit the concrete guardrail and flip over it, Mamba's now stuck on top of the guardrail and can't get off....17k damage, throw a sticky on it and blow it up, no longer worth it.

2nd source mission, again the Mamba since it's still missing from the garage, pick up from barge mission, so I go fetch the Cargobob at humane labs, last time was a bit messy so I try the more stealthy approach, don't notice the steal timer on the 'Bob, still noticed take but care of the guards, call off the cops, jump down...fall down...*sigh*......wait while I eat and armor up, still don't notice the steal timer, get in the 'bob, cops active again, take off, fly off, timer out of time, didn't lose the cops to successfully steal the 'bob in time, mission failed.

At this point I'm quite annoyed, I spent a good deal of time in game and all I got to show for it is money spent on body armor and ammo, I'm flying back to Humane Labs to grab my Buzzard since it's faster, fly back to the office, it's night time, judge the height of a tree wrong, BOOOM!!!, bye bye Buzzard.

And that's when I realized this was a losing streak, and to cut my losses and just quit for the day.

Punishment for that paint.

Looks a lot better in pure gold/pure black than it ever did in Tron colours.

Loaded into a new session with "Orion yacht" (and correct name) on the screen, which would be fair enough if I didn't own a Pisces. Coming down out of the clouds, and the lack of front and rear deck helipads, and plethora of deck awnings confirm it. Spawn into the bar area to find I'm still on an Orion, but suddenly I'm outside on the rear deck, and none of the option textures have loaded: it's a basic shell of a yacht with no railings, hot tub water, or furniture. Eventually, the textures load in, and I'm relieved to see myself on my own Pisces, so I save the video and go to have a look at it. Upon returning, I find myself on somebody else's Aquarius, in the same spot that I was docked, with my exploded Swift and their wrecked SuperVolito on the deck below. This game...

So I try getting back into free roam only for some passive abuser in a jet to shoot me down. When I get him out of his jet, he proceedes to constantly kill himself. Next session, I run into a group that used ghost and bst and used that exploit to block others using bst. Pvp in this game is a joke. And I don't know how these tryhards got to become a nuisance.

Okay.....

This is a weird glitch

Somehow ALL the orgs colors changed to sh*t brown.

I'm on Xbox One mind you, so modder crap ain't gonna fly. It's a glitch.

I deactivated my org and reformed it.... still sh*t brown. Deactivated it and switched sessions to get blue/purple/pink/green/magenta....any color except brown/orange please!

I don't know why we can't choose our color. Nobody seems to like orange anyways

OH! I'm guessing that is what happens when you try to do a patched wall breach?

I saw an org trying to climb into a building, and they kept disappearing and reappeared next to their friend. They kept doing this and I watched wondering what the hell they were trying to do

glad to have you back

it can be 2 meaning :

~ the random loves toying the SV while they didn't own it

~ the phantom wedge's newer engine that boast greater acceleration than normal phantom (about quick as brickade) . so the last time i drove the wedge i need to slow down to corner (i usually hitting that low wall but never went over it)

Literal textbook f*ck you.

Fastest way to make me shut off the game and just ignore it until Gunrunning...

Never had a Cargobob issue before, but always hear about the hook failing.

Transporting personal vehicle to airstrip to hang out with friends.

Hook fails out of the blue.

Car tumbles down through the air, lands flawlessly on all four wheels on the roof of a building.

Go in for the re-hook.

Gang attack, take out these f*cks for no reason!

Gang attack gangsters have miniguns.

Done with this sh*t.

How can this game have so many poor gameplay and design choices?

All in the same game...

Because the sleeveless hoodies actually have sleeves that you can't see.

R* logic.

Damn right. Perhaps you will need a f*cking clothing glitch in order to solve this. f*cking giltches from f*cking bugs. I just love this r* logic.

I came to complain about all the wannabe leakers who are glorified dataminers. They have such big ego's they cant admit they dont know crap since r* shut them down. They want publicity so much they talk in riddles and mindrape all the naive kids to try to stay relevant in the leaker community. Im starting to think they formed a troll alliance just to mess with ppl. We need a REAL leaker with some balls like dragoon or R*fa**ot, not these wannabe attention whores. Ok i feel much better /rant over.
