My B&M is for the flawed wanted system, I get in a shootout with some gang members outside of my warehouse that is like a block away from the police station, killed like 8 of them, no wanted level, I take a corner too fast on my way back to my office, and slide into a NPC on the sidewalk knocking her over but not killing her, and I get a instant one star, like really? WTF!!!

Was it a Gang Attack (red circle)? That disables wanted levels.

Beside, cops don't want to get in the middle of gang violence.

I didn't have time to scroll through 1029 pages of comments so Im going to assume this has been covered but I thought I'd bitch and moan about this.

 

Im usually a PvE player here - missions and heists and survivals. Most of my PVP is limited to Rockets vs Insurgents and Stunters vs Grenades and few others of the kind and the occasional deathmatches and also trying out new Adversary modes when they come out but basically getting bored of them quickly.

 

Before a few months back - I avoided public freeroam like the plague as I looked at it as a cesspit full of squeakers - wannabe gangstas and COD rejects! After actually spending some significant time there lately - I realize my Ivory Tower assumptions were 100% TRUE! But in addition - I want to pose one question which is the point of my bitching and moaning....

 

ARE THERE ANY MORE ACTUAL TACTICAL COMBAT PURISTS/GUNFIGHTERS WHO LIKE TO TO SLUG IT OUT BULLET FOR BULLET AND USE COVER WHEN NECESSARY BUT NOT CAMP - OR IS EVERYBODY NOW A f*ckING ROCKETEERING RETARD - SNIPING CAMPER WHO NEEDS PAMPERS OR JET GRIEFER (WANNABE)???

 

Its one thing if you've beaten me shot for shot - or caught me in a sitch where I have little cover - my hats off - you were the better person on that kill. But unlike I would say 99% of the cesspit dwellers I've encountered - I don't resort to pulling out my RPG or explosives if you got cover - I'll roll - and try and suppress you with combat MG fire while I try and get to decent cover or stay on the move or take the death like a man. Nor I do I skulk on rooftops looking for people to pick off with a sniper or RPG while they are engaged in battle with others. If Im gonna creep and get a distracted kill - Im doing it with with an AR or MG to give you at least a chance to respond. Nor will I use ghost or OTR. I'd rather kill someone with them going down swinging than be a pussy stroking myself over my artificial KD (not that I even care about that stat anyway) because I killed someone from a block away cause they were beefing with someone else. The only unawares I kill are those dumb enough to drive by in AR or MG range cause I don't know if they gonna shoot or try running me over anyway.

 

Anyhow - after all that crap - my freemode battling days for sport are over unless I happen to find a server randomly with mainly GUNFIGHTERS. I know freemode is anything goes and if I want controlled battle that I should go do a DM - which is what I will do moving forward. But am I wrong in saying that most everyone in freemode is one of of the classes of people I described using those denigrating terms??

It was not a gang attack, if it was, I would not have a reason to post that , no, I was randomly taking shots at passing by NPC's in their cars ,the warehouse is the Convenience Store Lockup , which, I am sure you are well aware, Rancho is invested with gang members.

So really, shooting at random NPC's and gang members, does not get you wanted level, but knocking over a NPC does, R* logic at its finest.

I play solo often purely to play my own personal game of how many NPC I can take down in a row using fists only, this includes the police.

The point of my complaint?

I don't like it when I find a NPC who can run faster than me. It ruins my stride and makes me feel like I HAVE to whip out a gun, and that is not how you play the game.

Overly skilled NPC in general annoy me, I like a fair fight but some of these guys are too good.

 

 

Useless Info: My record is 26 so far. I died after punching three officers. Not proud of it.

Hi guys, joined to post this- I only do races in Cunning Stunts Xbox One and street races before that, anyway the last couple of weeks I've noticed more and more people joining the races with no intention to race, just griefing basically, trying to spoil the races. Anyway I had enough yesterday and reported somebody for griefing using the function to do so. I don't ever use online chat or anything like that, so next thing I know i get a message saying my chat facility is muted until my behaviour improves! I can't believe this really, like I say I don't use chat so they are trying to punish me for reporting idiots wrecking the games? So annoyed I was tempted just to uninstall the game and not bother with it again. Can't they do something to stop this like no contact races like they had before or using some sort of moderation? Not very happy but I love the stunt racing when it's not being messed up, I can accept a bit of contact or nudging because we aren't all Sennas or Earnhardt Jr or whatever but seriously

Good post; I currently avoid and have avoided public free roam like the plague for many of the same reasons. Honestly I find it a bit boring as a whole, but some of the things people do there seriously irritate the living f*ck out of me. Unfortunately though, a lot of TDMs (my favourite game mode) are infested with their own set of issues--more so now than in the past, so it's often a struggle when you're lucky enough to even find a full lobby.

 

I do like PvP, but I often feel that the GTA online version has morphed into something of a bastardised pseudo war game with how it often plays out. If I wanted that, I'd go play an actual war game, but I don't generally enjoy them or the atmosphere. If only we had a GTA online game completely without military vehicles and weapons; that would be a very pleasant thing (in my opinion).

 

My main B&M lately is the inability to join jobs through the pause menu. It's bloody irritating that this is still broken, and I always get the black screen of death indicating that no jobs could be found. I either have to go on-call, where I can't see the options and simply hope for the best, host my own (and wait an eternity to fill a lobby), or join the random job (which always seems to be a heist set-up or stunt race). I pretty much only play jobs when I'm online, so it has become a bit game breaking for me.

I hate that, it happens with checkpoints or the destruction one all the time.

I only finally got my second top speed event since F&F dropped, and finally got to put my Tyrus to pavement. I mopped up with a 151.3 mph first run.

Camping is such an obscure term. The minute you duck behind cover, CoD kiddies think you're camping. I've been reported by a scrub for camping on other games when I, instead of running straight through a door, juke to the left of the doorway and wait for my would be assailant to run by and backstab him.

 

Like, come on guys. I'm nit even mad, just use your brain. Sitting in a corner the entire match is camping. Sitting in a corner with a shotgun for thirty seconds because it's a close in area and you've been pinging my radar for a full minute is not.

It's too damn easy to get "Dodgy" status. I spent a second BS term last week for only about 8-9 hours (left my system on with me watching the tube in a freeroam lobby as I slept), since then, it's been a bastard trying to stay afloat. Either I get "kicked from lobby" notes or just poor (butt hurt) repercussions from ground combat.

 

Oh well.

If I go dodgy I immediately remove myself from the public. Someone will report you just for being dodgy. About an hour in an invite only session should do. I don't recommend playing a mission while dodgy because if things go wrong or for whatever reason you leave you have a high chance of becoming a bad sport.
