About a week late for this, I guess. Dropped by the newswire to see what's up and then SUDDENLY THIS:

Why? WHY?! I'm gonna keep playing the pessimist here and say that this, to me, just feels like R* saying that they simply don't care about people playing their game anymore. "Waste more time and effort in our freeroam horsesh*t because now you don't have to worry about even doing our 'super hard to make' heists to get your hydra!

Whatever the f*ck is up with this text color I'm too salty to f*cking fix.

i hate it when your in race and you hit a jump and fly over a checkpoint a bit too high and have to make a u turn and lose positions all because checkpoint was in a bad spot.

I hate the changes to the Mallard. Too twitchy and sensitive. Before I could fly one through that sculpture thingy outside the airport, even the small upper gaps while upside down. Now I just crash most of the time because the handling's turned up to 11.

I just had a terrible thought... What if R* patches the glitch/ability to color stock rims with iFruit... Then they reset all colored stock rims to default!? That would suck for a lot of my cars.

The new stunt races are really glitchy. I seem to hit an invisible object all the time in the speed / upside down tube on "Gauntlet" and an invisible barrier on "Spinner"

 

Plus, I hate the crash kiddies even more now. 80 rank Zentorno drivers are the worst, just barrelling into everything in the one car they can afford.

 

Oh and whilst I'm on the subject, "Wall Climb" has a slow down obstacle at the top of a steep ramp. You used to hit it, slow down a bit, but fly out over the ramp to carry on which was fine. They've fudged it now so that you almost stop altogether.

Alright, cool.

 

Host turns on Destroy Last Place, sets it for 30 seconds.

We start, I go through the second checkpoint, and it doesn't count.

Cool.

I spend the next two minutes catching up and passing people.

Get to 10/14th, looking back as I exit pipe, unsure of if anyone will exit after.

Explode.

Eliminated for being in last.

Leaderboard shows me being in 10th, and eliminated. Four people behind me, still driving.

 

Slap my desk so hard my neighbours file a noise complaint.

If you lost interest because you were actually seeing what the car looked like and the only appeal of them were that they weren't obtainable then you most likely weren't all that interested in them in the first place.

One explanation could be because nobody plays Heists anymore so newbies who bought the game this year or last December have a hard time ranking up to unlock the goodies. I rarely get heists invite over the last 4 months. Now its just races, capture, rpg vs insurgent, parachuting and occasional arm wrestling invites and maybe random golf invites.
