So first post, but been a member since 2014, I joined to download mods for GTA4.

 

So where do I start, well Rockstar removing their comments section from their Newswire was where I used to bitch and moan about GTA Online updates did they remove it because they got fed up of listening to people complain, who knows?

 

Anyway, I'll just list off some of the things that annoy me

 

Car physics, utter joke, utterly compromised so that players can

 

a). Flip a car that's turned on its roof

b). Steer a car in flight, because you know a car is a f*cking plane now isn't it!

 

Catch up in races, broken mechanic that itself is broken

Slipstream another broken mechanic that itself is broken

The servers, everybody leaves your session leaving you on your tod as well as the various long load times and other server related nonsense

 

The thing is I have struggled on, gotten myself to lvl 580 done and seen a lot but that 'a lo't has been mostly racing. (3000 races with a 50/50 win lose ratio) Yeah the racing is a joke and has SSSSOOOO many factors that seem to go out of their way to punish players that do well but two things have now utterly ruined racing.

 

Cunning Stunts 1 and now the latest cunning stunts updated races. I hated the first batch of races mostly because they felt unskilled and utterly out of character with what the game had been like up until now, plus the car physics just don't work with them but the more I played them the more nuanced they became, little areas where you could make up time (East Coasts loop de loop on the last jump for example) and I came to accept them. These new races though are utter rubbish, I mean total and utter rubbish. I've played around five of them and of the five four of them four of them can be run without EVER taking your finger off the throttle. Worst still alot of them seem to be keyed to show you just how miserable and rubbish the broken catch up system is, i.e massive long straights, stupid jumps, more loops and twists and at no point is their ANY actual sense of racing. Put simply Cunning Stunts two has ruined racing the way cunning stunts ruined normal racing, i,e you're gonna be lucky if you find a full public lobby that runs anything other than the new races.

 

I've tried over the last two days to get in to these races and both times I got to the end of a race and though WTF is the point of this? This isn't racing, this is tiresome and boring and have actually shut the console down before the end results and pay out have popped up.

 

What I want from the game is some proper racing, not this cunning stunt rubbish. Would be nice if Rockstar did a whole new set of approved normal races with double payouts but I guess the community wouldn't like that because you know hit the throttle, zero skill and big stupid jumps seems to be the turn on for the GTAO community.

 

Would like to see some new missions or heists, but I am guessing having players do stuff that just gives them a pay out and requires zero investment prior to them (Iam looking at you car import, bikers and CEO) doesn't make people buy Shark cards now does it.

Date and Time (Set year to 2018)

Go back to GTA V

Wait 5~ seconds

Go back to Date and Time (set back to 2017)

Return to GTA V

Go settings>internet connection>setup manual> when you get to the MTU, set it to 700( 1500 is what you want for full lobbies)

Finally have a decent Simion list. Find an F620. A block from the docks some Ahole starts headhunter with no intent on completing it. Can't deliver F620.

 

Figure I'd stick around the one stationary target in the alleys by the docks to get some money while waiting to deliver the car. CEO leaves with at a minute left....

 

Why the f*ck does VIP work remove all activities from the map!?

'Player Saved Outfits' should have been the only option in Heists. The amount of hosts who don't let me use a heavy combat outfit for the reduced damage benefit is INSANE . I feel like R* deliberately didn't make the saved outfits the only option in order to troll & torture players like me who play with random hosts who many times don't understand english.

My internet is perfect and this is the first time that's ever happened.

Can this still be done on purpose? I've noticed a lot of players leaving races in the first 10 seconds or so. Guarenteeing themselves a win would explain it.

Yeah, all too often, on pretty much any job these days too, I'm as proud of some of my mistakes, I learned when I lost to get better at things, the lagging out is ideal for CEO/MC stuff, but the fact it's hugely known, makes it less consistent when I do find myself in a winning position... To the point that I've deliberately slowed down to make others think they have a chance in order to not see them leave... Getting the golf award was real hard, not the golf, but to get 3 or 4 shots ahead, you know the opponent will not see it through... Similar to Pacific Standard these days, if I join a random on a finale, chances are he's giving away the cash to his buddy... Makes it harder to navigate as a legit player... So many started a second account too, only to make sure they get 100%'s on businesses, high K/D's and a 100% win/loss ratio... And the length some will go to protect it, unwarranted reports, kicked and horrible messages etc... Real pain in the ass...

The catch is that you're quite limited in what you can do without at least one other player... e.g. no work like Piracy Prevention, can't sell Import/Export cars, etc.

Previously:
Escape Escort. A random jumps out of the heli and parachutes down a block away, gets to ramp buggies but sees me and another random in them and blows himself up with a Homing Launcher. Second attempt went good.
Breakdown Recovery. A random jumps out of the helicopter as I'm landing. Since he's too low to safely parachute down, he dies. Second attempt had three competent randoms, so it went good as well.
Cleanup Op. Went smoothly because a competent random (from Breakdown Recovery Attempt #2) helped out.
Asset Seizure. At the second checkpoint an idiot random reverses into another random while screaming something in Spanish and that random ends up getting killed by the cops. At this point I didn't bother for another attempt and decided to get the Ruiner already... which failed as well.

Conclusion: 90% of randoms are morons.

It's either a bug that desperately needs fixing, or it's intentional on the part of R* to restrict how much money players can simultaneously make in public sessions. While it might be a way to prevent lag or FPS drops with too much going on, somehow I seriously doubt it; I lean heavily toward the draconian GTA$ restriction by R*.

 

It's based on a simple fact: you can't make much money when you're busy fighting (or defending against) other players--instead, you're spending it. More players doing jobs/work all at the same time means lots of GTA$ being made (rather than increasing the likelihood of Shark Cards being purchased) and the fewer PvP griefers there are in the session to interfere with the money-making process.

 

Truth is, restricting simultaneous work completely destroys the immersion of the "big GTA world" you're supposed to be in. Makes you feel more like you're just one of 20+ siblings being doled out 10 min. of play time (if you're lucky) in your corner of the sandbox while mommy stands by and watches you play. I can almost hear the Benz laughing in the distance.

This sh*t is killing me. How the Hell can R* claim to be listening to the players. How many millions of people does it take for them to realize that the car+advarsary mode is crap. Ok , ok I get this addition of stunt races is not adversary modes, but it's still the same thing. I am especially tired of a game that use to be all about freedom is trying to push players to pvp. 20 freaking period I play with won't play because there is nothing new for coop.

 

Many people have been clamoring for ANYTHING new and coop, it for sp. So yeah, R* listens, but if it is not already on their wish list if things to get added to the game. It will not be added. So no, you will not see new coop stuff, sp dlc, or anything else outside of cars and pvp moshpit bs. Because the moshpit bs sells shark cards. If this continues I won't even bother pre ordering Red Dead 2
