So there's a jump that the Omnis can't make in the new In the City stunt course. Are you f*cking kidding me? A stunt car cannot get through one of the stunt races? This was a non-stock Omnis with catch-up turned off btw. Tried it several times and the Omnis just barely undershot the landing every time.

 

I know it's common knowledge here by now, but Rockstar doesn't playtest the sh*t they make anymore. To them playtesting is "well the update didn't blow up the console/PC upon downloading it so that's good enough for us".

 

At least maybe now the Omnis might get the buff it needs. A speed buff and preferably a tad better downforce stat.

It's a rally car...it's never going to perform well on a track against things like the Jester and Massacro. What next, complaining that the Bagger can't make the jumps in motorcycle races? Use a little common sense and pick a more suitable vehicle.

You act as if the average person has any idea how a car will perform or what the course will consist of.

 

People see the Omnis, it is a race car, release with the previous stunt races. It is a perfectly fine assumption that a race car can complete the stunt races.

 

So yes, if the Bagger is an option, it better damn well be able to complete the race. They can lock races to certain vehicles, if that is what needs to be done then they need to do it.

 

It has nothing to do with peoples choices, it has to do with lack of testing on Rockstar's part.

 

No, it's supposed to be hard. If the game was easy nobody would want to play it except soccer moms and little kids. If you try the damn race in the wrong car and it can't make it around the course, that's a learning experience. If you keep trying the same car and complaining about, that's a test and you failed it.

 

No, not being able to finish with a certain car is dumb game design.

 

If you are given the option of using it, it should be able to f*cking finish.

Why is everybody ignoring what I just said earlier?

 

R* IS NOT GOING TO STOP YOU USING YOUR OWN PV IN RACES! doesn't matter how sh*tty the car is, if custom cars is turned on, you can go nuts and even use a BF Surfer in van races, granted, it will not win you anything, but R* lets you have have the choice to use it.

 

Can you imagine the bitching if players found out they couldn't use their PVs in races?

 

The same applies to the Omnis, you can use it in races, you wont anything but you can use it as long as you own it.

 

That is not hard to grasp, folks...

 

 

Obviously. That isn't the issue. The cars are fine. They need to change the track. If it is locked to a certain class then every car in that class should be able to complete the race. Nobody is suggesting they should limit the race to only certain PV's. They need to design the race to accommodate the cars that it says it accommodates.

 

The issue is that certain cars literally cannot complete the course, not that it is too slow to be competitive. Some cars just cannot make the jumps.

I'm quite sure someone here said the car shouldn't be able to be selected for this race...

I'm so burned out from last weeks event. I collected hundreds of crates and now i'm completely turned off from playing for a few days

(I have 3100 collections completed overall)

I wish we knew what the next update was going to be. Personally I could care less if we got a cunning stunts 2.0

I'm hoping for a new conceptual update that has to do with military gear and vehicles. Who knows what we'll get this year, it's exhausting to be hyped for updates that are not announced. The speculation thread is nothing but hot air.

I'm sorry, but I need to be enlightened on this.

 

So I was doing some stunt races and I think myself as a pretty decent racer overall. But here are some things that just don't seem right! So I'm in my Nero Custom and somehow got to first place because of some pile up I managed to dodge. I know catchup is on and I feel my engine dying on me as I slow down because of it. But I do my best to keep a steady speed and take the turns just right.

 

Then this loser in his stock RE-7B or whatever it's called blast pasts me at almost triple the speed. I can even see his car stuttering slightly as he just picks up speed even after he has passed me. Despite how flawlessly I try to drive, I can't catch up to him at all. I even see him spin out and instantly recover with boosted acceleration. WHAT IS THIS MARIO KART 64? And why the hell is catchup not affecting him at all?

 

But hey, maybe he's just that good, right? There are some crazy good racers out there after all, right? No, I see him in the next race and he's some rank 33 guy (but hey, ranks don't matter, right?) but he has a 1 win 0 losses in races. You mean to tell me he's some idiot savant?

 

Oh and he had a suspiciously powerful acceleration at the start, putting him about twenty car lengths ahead of second place (me) despite there being no pileup at the start. And I got the speed boost from hitting the acceleration key at the right time as well. and in both races he finished with at least a 25 second lead. And when I just pointed out the strange boost at the start of the race, everyone's like "It looked normal to me".

 

What is it? Lag? Controller exploit? Cheats?

 

I know I'm not that good, but sometimes there's some serious BS going on.

The customization in this game is 5.5/10, everything to how you look in general, and the lack of options in my opinion, makes my experience worse.

 

Even though I make do with what I got, and I see many other peeps making do too, they could've done much better in this department.

 

When it comes to looking good, there's wayyyyyy too much thinking power you need to put in.

It just seems f*cky, for a lack of better word. We get tons of clothing options, but everything is hipster fashion versions of regular clothing. Or it is lacking in choice.

Or it's missing. Like, black canvas shoes. They are seen on stunt outfits, but cannot be selected.

The male classic biker leather jackets cannot use turtlenecks or tshirts underneath. Like, come on!

We cannot use hoodies or long sleeves or some tshirts underneath a vest. We cannot tuck pants into boots mostly.

And the military stuff we get for ourselves are some fantasy make believe stuff, while NPC's get realistic real world counterparts of military gear, truthfully designed ingame to their real life self.

 

Hairstyles are also screwed up. What kind of botched up mohawk is that? It's like a balding man or leukemia patient or a crack junkie tried making their hair into a hawk.

Also, not being able to combine eyewear, masks or bandanas and helmets or hats together? Like, what? Come on.

And don't get me started on the FCR. I want to cry. They pick the ugliest, modern made BMW, put in their hipster "Oh you probably never saw this design" flair to it, putting a springer front end on a roadster/naked bike (Hey, what the f*ck? How is that even supposed to handle anything beyond a dent in the road?) and made the customization choices even dumber.

 

So instead of getting a classic roadster bike that we can customize into a cafe racer, a scrambler potentially or any of the such classic sort, we get an abomination. And that abomination can get saddlebags and even fuel tanks and a rack, but Wolfsbane and Daemon are unable to mount the same, even tho they already come with the frame extension on the bumper that allows the same to be mounted!

 

Trying to understand what R* is doing here is frustrating to the point where I want to scream. Everything they give to the community is half arsed and screwed up, with their own view on it. Because 15% of California (that's even a generous number imo) dresses like the most backwards Tumblr dwelling hipster trash, the whole game should be the same.

Also reward/achievement for getting world record... THIS IS ALSO ANNOYING. How to set f... record when others are cheating ;/

If you are able to choose a vehicle (it does not matter if custom or stock) for a race you should be able to complete it with this vehicle, period. If you are able to choose a faggio for a bike race, you have to be able to get around the track with the faggio same with every other vehicle in the game.

If that is not the case Rockstar did a sh*tty job at creating the track!

Here is something for you, my friend, since you and the others just seems to not be able to understand this:

 

Play that race without custom cars enabled.

 

Are all factory stock cars available, able to complete the race?

(Keep in mind that only a handful of them are available to be choosen)

 

IF all of these cars are able to complete the race, then THERE IS NO PROBLEM!

 

Now.

If you turn on custom vehicles, then that is your problem if you are not able to complete the race, R* is not blocking you from using your own cars in races, no matter how slow they are.

 

Just imagine if R* blocked you of using any of your own PVs in races?

You guys would bitch about it to no end, even if you want to use a Futo, and then would complain because that car drifts everywhere and can't build up speed for the jumps.

 

But I will concede this:

There should have been a proper warning on the race's description about what cars should be recomended for the race, but that's it.

 

And me being an R* employee? Well, where the hell is my hooker and my batch of coke to snort it up from her back? And also my money made from Shark Cards?

If this was console I'm guessing that person had one of the new generation consoles. If this was on PC he's got the framerate turned up real high.

Why the f*ck do people use lag switches? That sh*t is so dumb to go up against. Get into a PVP and this dude killing me behind walls and sh*t.

I don't always bitch when get into PVP but f*ck me, this was just bullsh*t. I was behind a pillar and a wall STILL taking damage from this f*cking guy. I even played it at .25 speed + full screen and there was no way..

This happened a few times.

Was this the point to point race? If so, that same sh*t happened to me two days in a god damn row. Same car, went wire to wire without anybody f*cking me up, way ahead of everyone.

 

I was high, but not too high and hit the marker both times. Still flew off. Checkpoint not counted. Quit the first time, threw a right cross and knocked out my PS4, which made it shut off the second time.

 

I hate racing, but do it with my friends anyways. Besides the idiots who drive like they're having a seizure and are 2 seconds away from swallowing their toungue, what the f*ck is with the car physics in racing? It's completely opposite of how the cars are in freeroam. They handle like sh*t.

 

I know this is a well known thing to most, but I just had to vent it.
