What is it with pretty much every person been a try-hard now?

Then when you get sick of it and leave send you a message like "scrub"

 

Honest to god what it going on.

If only R* made it where killing yourself any type of way that would affect your KDR. We'd see less of that garbage.

 

It is my sincere belief that if C* got rid of passive mode, ewo, and bst most of these people would leave in a grand fashion and return to sewers from which they originally dwell.

 

If you want to be silly enough to go AFK in an online video game in which every other person has a weapon then perhaps you deserved to be killed. That happened to me this morning and I was lucky enough to get my kills back but I knew what I was doing, and I'm ok with that.

 

Maybe Dark Souls spoiled me in terms of how much slack a game won't give you.

 

I really don't see too many people using BST. And if I do, I just hit Sightseer and cut them off from it, and go spam kill them.

 

Not very many people even know what it is, at least not low levels. It's usually only the high levels, and even then, most people don't seem to be using it. I use it religiously and no one even has any clue what it is. They always just tell me I have a modded account. I literally get it multiple times a day, along with a lot of reports.

 

This community is so stupid, that they don't realize they can have the option to become invincible right at their feet, anytime they want it.

 

That's the thing, it's too easy to get kills with BST. Also, if you're blocking others from using it just so that you can be the only one who with access to it speaks volumes. I miss the days when combat took some actual skill and people didn't rely heavily on cheap exploits. I can't imagine how through the roof my kill count would be if I used that stuff as often as others.

 

The lobbies I jump into, perhaps because of my level or the friends of my friends are usually filled with BST tryhards so I deal with it often and have gotten used to it. Still I think it's a bit too easily accessible and again gives the combat advantage to the players who have the most money to waste. Just my two cents though!

I'm quite frustrated today, as I returned from vacation to find my account on XBL was suspended due to "Marketplace Theft."

Back in December, MS charged two different accounts for the annual renewal. I contacted them about the error and provided proof, to which they agreed and reimbursed me for one of the charges.

 

Then, a week ago, their "Enforcement Team" flagged it as "a circumvention of the Terms of Agreement by trying to obtain unauthorized chargebacks via fraudulent activity," which they wrote, "has threatened the integrity of XBL and harmed the developers and content creators."

 

My family is now banned from XBL, meaning no access to GTAO, other games, Netflix, Hulu, or do anything requiring XBL.

I learned after an hour on the phone with MS support, that there is no actual "Enforcement Team," but rather an automated program that flags erroneous activity on account billing, automatically suspending anything out of the norm. Once it suspends, the MS support team cannot access the account to re-activate, fix the problem, pro-rate my account, refund me for the new error, or even cancel my subscription, altogether.

My only option, as I was told, was to wait until the ban is lifted in a month and there's no way to dispute the decision.

So, I'm called a liar, a thief, and a fraud who violated the terms of service. What's confusing is that even if it were true, why only a ban for a month? What does that do? Will I have learned some lesson? Is this punishment akin to time-out because my sister claims I hit her, when I didn't?

Clearly, it's a broke system and once I have access to my account, I may sell off my XB junk and buy a PS.

TL;DR:
Local mechanic charged you twice for an oil change. You called it out, rightly, and he reimburses you. But, when you go to get your car, he tells you you're banned from the garage and can't get your car because you tried to rip him off. He says to come back in a month when you've learned your lesson.

So apparently if you try to spawn a CEO Buzzard on the island you spawn on after the East Coast stunt race (thanks for giving us such a sh*tty spawn location btw C*), not only will it be stuck in an endless state of trying to spawn the damn thing, but it'll destroy the framerate the entire time. The only way I got it to stop was by going into another job. 10/10 programming right there.

 

Another B&M. The other day I lost a whole 3 crate shipment because the Boxville is a piece of sh*t. Couldn't fully make a certain turn in the Vinewood Hills and went down into a gentle slope in the dirt against a fence. Well to the Boxville, a gentle slope might as well be like climbing the sheer drop side of Mount Chiliad. The piece of garbage wouldn't budge an inch up this very gentle slope and nothing I tried could move it. I had to just blow the f*cking thing up. Thanks for making us ride around in sh*t like the Boxville to deliver crates, C*. Speedline Miracle Masterpiece my ass.

Every single crate I collect, every single piece of supplies i go for is in a big, slow box of a van that takes an age to move from on side of the map to the other.

 

Seriously 100% of them. Rockstar conned us into thinking it would be high paced-fast and furious gameplay. All it is is constant slow as f*ck driving in really, really boring vehicles.

 

Thank f*ck I don't collect or sell in public, rockstar have designed the entire thing so that you have the maximum chance to be destroyed.

Finally got around to buying the phantom wedge. Daily sell limit has been slowing down my buying spree, accidently sold 2 back to back and hit the limit instantly. Is it? I'm new to playing so I don't know the ins and outs. I love blowing sh*t up and when a much higher level than me is coming after me for no reason bombs come in handy. I use guns too but I find blowing up people and laying mine traps to be so much fun it's actually my preferred method even if I am fighting someone I know I can take out easily with one of my guns. I do not just go around laying mine traps/blowing people up and such, I do not bother anyone unless they come after me.

I love my Phantom Wedge as well..but, it really should've had the option to atleast upgrade the armour on it.

Sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation. That type of crap does happen on PS4 as well. I knew an aquaintence with the PSN XxVapinNRapinxX - he got flagged and banned for violation of terms of service. This means ALL his progress, achievements and character in the case of GTA:O - gone.

 

This automated 'tough sh*t' by devs and console manufacturers has to be challenged. Telling you 'tough sh*t' and that you forefit your PSN or XBL without an option to resolve (change handle in the case of PSN) or appeal is just pure sh*t.

 

Sadly though, it's going to get worse. With arrogant hubristic console and gaming companies that don't give two sh*ts about the consumer other than you just buy their crap - I see this as the wave of the future.

 

I told the aquaintence that he needs to write his state attorney general on that one. It's sketchy to say, 'we've deleted you, and we're keeping 10 months of your PSN Plus purchase and you can't do a damn thing about it.'

Idk...You're story in and of itself seems pretty fishy. Imo, I don't blame MS for your situation. I blame you for having 2 separate accounts that apparently share the same cc# and subscription status. Like you know 1 could get banned and you are keeping a backup, just in case...

 

I'd advise waiting until the ban is lifted and then contact MS support, again, to see if they would offer an olive branch, of sorts, for the miscommunication. If that's truly what it is and you are truly limited by an "automated program" that apparently supercedes an actual support persons capabilities...

 

Otherwise, overreact to the situation, abandon your XB, it's subscription and take your 2 accounts over to PS and see if you can make it work there. Nobody here on the "broke" XB side, will miss you.

Thank you, @zoso80, I completely agree. That was the point I made to the support manager regarding, "you accepted my payment, but now refuse to let me cancel the service and get it back (minus the two months I used)." It's not acceptable and you're right, the gaming corporations are going to drive their own customers away if it continues.

 

Eventually, smaller entities will emerge and provide quality games that will draw millions of consumers away from the large corporate titles. It happened with home video enterprises like Blockbuster video (owned by Viacom) when Netflix popped up on the horizon with their mail-order DVDs. Netflix did it again and put the big cable companies against the wall with their streaming services, except cable is big enough to echo the service – for now.

Pretty much this....at the start i kinda was that guy that just sticked to his assault rifle and combat mg most of the time....and heavy sniper....instead of special carbine rifle, explosives and marksman rifle.....but you will find people who moan regardless.

 

Looking back it was a stupid thing, i have the right to use any weapon i got in my inventory to maximum effect and abuse the sh*t out of rockstars sh*tty ideas like the refill of ammo trough the interaction menu and being able to kill myself and using bull shark testosterone.

 

Heck, if anything i blame myself on not playing more dirty now and then.

If rockstar really wants to solve the problem of overpowered weapons, they should nerf them....if the player base is bothered by it, they should request a nerf on them....which is what they kinda deserve but yea....i ain't gonna wait until that happens.

 

Just return the favor and use the same cheap tactics...or get the f*ck out of my line of sight

why do some players abuse ghost organization when they kill you while in it?

i had it happen to me this morning my assassin killed me and i don't think he even came out of ghost organization.

also in the races r* added to the next gen gta 5 they're kind of pointless to join because most players who host don't set it to non contact and i've had players try to knock me off the track i had it happen today and it started to annoy me.

For the people that love using explosives and don't want to risk getting run and gunned into submission or out wiggled, the grenade launcher is your best friend. Aim based on their direction on the mini map, start shooting in an arc to ensure that at least one of them drops at their feet, low to high, then high to low. Once you start doing that more often you'll be surprised how easy it is to get kills on them that fashion. Also do not forget that while aiming down your assault rifle or mg you can throw your active explosives by pressing left on the d-pad, handy for sweeping corners especially when the target is to your left. These creatures that prefer to play hide and seek rather than run around like the noble samurais we are (sarcasm) have weaknesses, just have to be willing to learn their play-style and then throw it back in their face.

Fix the frigging Bob glitch already!

Managed to do a pretty nice scope-up on the targeted vehicle during a police chase, kept the damage to a minimum, only for the damn Cargobob to drop the vehicle, TWICE!

 

Hello 20.000 damage bill.

 

P.S less of a complaint and more of a question, what's with the blue "titles" under our usernames, do the mods switch them or something?

On a similar note, I suspect that you risk losing your Daily Objective progress if you shut down the game after being dumped (and endlessly stuck) in the "cloud" ("you're in the cloud now").

 

There IS NO excuse for R* to not implement a constant, intelligent watchdog timer whenever a player gets taken out of freeroam and into the "clouds".

 

While in the clouds, the timer would constantly try different session connects (matching the one they were last in), and if it's unable to (after a user-settable time), give them an option to save their progress, and exit the game safely.

Just got in a session and walked out of my CEO Office. Then what the f*ck happens? I got slapped with a voters are voting to kick you out of the session. Like what the hell? So you can get voted to get kicked just for walking? God damn it!!

 

They're douche bag players who think that because they're currently the only two (or three) people in there, that they own the session. Ultimately, R* needs to take full responsibility for this and correct it, because it's being abused big time.

 

Two players is too small to justify a vote kick. Way too many people have one or more friends in most any session, making this fail. IMO, five or more players should be the minimum needed to kick someone; would make it much less likely of getting kicked based on player session greed.

 

Anyway, yeah--it's pretty pathetic, so you won't find me vote kicking anyone for that reason. Was asked to do it in a session recently, but it sure as heck didn't happen.

I think everyone being able to own everything in game is what is leading to the imbalance. Like in gta iv multiplayer, you had to look for weapons around the map as pickups. When you die, you lose them all and start again. You had limited amounts of ammo so you couldn't just snipe with 9,000 rounds you had 40 and had to get more each time. GTA Online everyone has rockets, sticky bombs, guns with massive amounts of ammo and can buy it in the interaction menu which was a stupid change. Bad enough that every gun in the game is purchasable at ammunation. Whats next? Being able to fix your car from the interaction menu without having to go to LSC? Being able to instant kill other players by clicking a button in the menu for $5k?

 

Also cargobob dropping things randomly has been an issue for like 7+ updates. I lost track because its been such a long time when it worked 100% of the time. I have been in invite only lobbies by my self and the cargobob will still drop things at random. Feels like a syncing problem between me and the cloud servers or something. They really need to fix the cargobob, not wasting it fixing 17 issues with don't cross the line tv game when they did with the cunning stunts update.
