If the new Red Dead is thinly veiled attempt to rip people off rather than a beautiful single player experience then I'm going to have to chuck my current opinion of Rockstar out of the window and form a much more negative one.

I'm extremely worried about Red Dead, not just from a money-perspective, but just all of it really.

 

Before GTA Online I wouldn't even have questioned that ti would be a great game with decent online stability, etc.

 

But a some of the things they've done with Online have really lowered their reputation for me.

I don't doubt RDR will have Micro-transactions or something like it. The model has been so successful because players continue to buy sharkcards so why in the world would rockstar change their business model now.

 

Fingers crossed for another great story mode anyway, I don't know how online was done on the last game because I didn't play it but that story was one of my all time favorites. As much as I didn't like how it ended, I kinda did and wouldn't of wanted it to end any other way. It really was an amazing experience for me.

Do you not think it would feel too forced in Red Dead? It's an earthy, realistic and gritty single player experience, trying to persuade people to pay over the odds for a new hat or horse or whatever doesn't fit for me.

 

It seems like a ridiculous notion to suggest that Rockstar should take a break from updates and pour their efforts into fixing everything that needs fixing because we know they won't make much money out of doing that but they really should and the fact that it's been generally accepted that they won't speaks volumes about the public perception of the company.

 

We know they're money grabbers but because they make something we like, for the most part, it's ok. It's a slippery slope.

Join session, see there's an impromptu car meet going, pretty nice - a good number of people show up, we're admiring each other's cars then BOOM. D*ckhead McNofun comes in and blows a car up with his grenade launcher. Everyone scatters, half the people in the meet leave the session. Why do people do this?

What is so offensive about people enjoying themselves in freeroam not having an endless war of who can out cheap-tactic the other that people feel the need to f*ck it all up?

Why the hell does my half my IM disappear while I'm scrolling through it?? EWO, Passive, MC & SecuroServ just disappear....

Now when I beat somebody in a snipe game and they decide to get a jet to get their kills back how am I supposed to avoid them killing me so cheap.... Sticky bombs weren't reliable anymore, they tend to just disappear right after you drop them (So I litterally throw away money, GG R*) and now RPG + EWO isn't reliable anymore either.

 

This game is beyond broken man.

Man, that one Adv. Mode where Hunters are on Dirt Bikes with a sawn-off and Runners get carbines is f*cking dumb. If you manage to fall off to try to get on foot, you respawn on a bike. Who makes this sh*t? Literal sh*t Adversary Mode.

After playing my secondary female character for a couple weeks, I swapped back to my main male character to find ALL of my outfits gone. Guess it was finally my turn to get hit again with another random disappearance bug (had a legitimate car vanish back near the start of the year previously).

 

Not technically a big issue, but for someone who hates clothing shopping in games as much as in real life, it's a real PITA having to go back and find everything again and remake my outfits for no apparent reason.

This has been an issue for months now... Swapping characters deletes your outfits. Sucks so much.

Another is looking for a fairly common NPC vehicle that is everywhere EXCEPT when you are looking for it.

Just encountered a guy using some kind of mod to increase his gun's damage, he shot at my Vigero like 5 times with his MG and it almost immediately caught on fire, then instantly killed me (beyond instant headshot range)

Surprisingly he wasn't also using godmode, but this just goes to show R*'s screwed priorities. Patch harmless clothes glitches that literally affect nobody but the person wearing the clothes and wipe out outfits, but leave sh*t like this unchecked.

THE MOST OVERPRICED vehicle yet- Sanctus- looks cool, worst handling in game
