Joined a random contact mission, Titan of a Job, easy money. Someone gets on mic, tells everyone he's got this and tells us not to enter the airport hangar. I say screw that and head in with my Tropos. Killing enemies when I hear a horn behind me and then get run over by a dickhead in a Rhino. Seriously, who the hell brings a tank to a mission like this? One wrong shot and you'll- yep. He shot too close to the Titan and blew it up. *facepalm of monolithic proportions* Jesus Christ, man... How hard is it to just head to a location, kill all the enemies, take whatever we need to or blow up whatever we need to, with no bullsh*t? No Savage, Hydra, Rhino or any other serious military artillery? What happened to just killing enemies with a gun?

This isn't good for those of us who are obviously addicted.

This site is hosted on CloudFare, which is a CDN for many websites including this one. They have been having a bit of configuration issues but now that's been resolved.

Remember, we live in the Cloud age, not the single server node age.

Could someone please tell me at what times in the day you are the least likely to meet stupid kids who quit/leave lobbies? In other words, during what hours am I likely to find normal people?

Yesterday between 8 pm and 10 pm UTC+1 time it was the worst time to be online. I spent two hours hosting a lobby and I would keep getting brainless morons who would either repeatedly die on heists or quit them.

 

I don't have much GTA Online experience (I'm only level 63 and I play occasionally), so if someone could help me with this one, I would like to hear it.

The amount of times this game freezes on me, servers go down, servers don't save, have to restart because of any of the previous; I ask myself if it's even worth the stress.

This guy is a serial pest, I feel like everyone should send a support request to R* saying that the Biker DLC has a bug where this LJT character wont stop harassing us, he even harasses you in friend or invite only lobbies which are impossible to even do biker supply/sell mission in.

 

Feels like R* are forcefully pushing this biker sh*t down our throat with LJT. So much so it is started to degenerate the online experience for me. As soon as his calls come through, I just spam the hang up button. He's f*cking worse than an Indian call centre and It makes me wish I never bought the biker club house and associated businesses.

 

Can we start a petition to have R* shut this c*nt up? If I want to get supplies or sell product I will. I don't need this f*ckhead calling me in the middle of something to tell me what to do. Last time I checked,I was president of my MC. I want this LJT nuisance marked for death. Why can'the just send a f*cking text like the heist invites and missions?

Every time I enter or deliver a supply crate..... Black screen for a whole minute.

On PS4 I've set my controller to silent as phone call noise comes out of there, that way I can't hear him, however I still have to answer to hangup his useless calls.

Theres also Malc who always calls and then goes "You should use the computer but you don't have too." everytime but when I go to use the computer I can't use it because im in inv only. Good logic R*

Posted this elsewhere, but last night, with a four-star wanted level (not five; four), I had--all at the same time--four(!) Police Riot vans, six LSPD patrol cars, and two NOOSE vans (not including LSPD choppers).

 

Go ahead; try telling me that isn't utterly pathetic. F****** R* is beyond the absurd with this game.

They have to do something about what happens after a CEO or Biker pickup or delivery is failed.

 

When the product or crate is destroyed, 2 things happen:

1. A big banner appears across the screen for several seconds;and

2. You get a call from either your assistant or LJT telling you what just happened.

 

I f*ckING KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! I WAS RIGHT THERE! IN FACT I'M RIGHT HERE NOW TRYING TO KILL THE PRICK WHO JUST WRECKED MY sh*t! GET OFF MY f*ckING SCREEN AND STOP TALKING! YOU ARE GETTING IN MY WAY!

 

The banner blocks your field of view and the phone call stops you from being able to run. Both those things can easily be fatal in a pop situation, so it's not really great game design that they are both scheduled to happen at a time that player on player combat will either be in progress or imminent.

 

Couldn't have said it better--someone please tell Shyster it's supposed to be an open world game--not Life invader we're engaging in. The SecuroServ menu item is also buggier than <insert word here>; appears and disappears frequently.

 

Same thing happens when you're trying to text chat--constantly gets cut off by cut scenes, spam phone calls, etc. Would be a piece of cake for R* to make it asynchronous: A process in a multitasking system whose execution can proceed independently, "in the background ". Other processes may be started before the asynchronous process has finished.

 

It's stuff like this that's making me rapidly lose interest in the game, simply because Shyster doesn't give a foot about doing anything about it. And there is plenty of evidence to question the level of intellect of R* devs at the moment. Seriously.

 

Even just wanting to jump into a gang attack or Flight School (you know, so I can complete my Daily Objectives), I have to change sessions or wait who knows how long, because those are now disabled (WTF!) whenever any kind of MC/CEO/VIP work is in progress.

^^ Just had that happen (again) last night during Sightseer. So yeah, that too.

Banners also lock you out from viewing the player list--not at all helpful when you're trying to place a Bounty on someone or send a Mugger or Mercs after them.

 

Would be nice if the ability to view the session's player list while you're forced to stare at the exterior view of your spawn location (right after logging in) is restored. Was very helpful in saving you that much time.

 

And don't get me started at the stat items on the bottom right corner of the screen that can pile up, blocking out current location and vehicle information:

 

 

You might ask: "Why are you doing Sightseer while you've launched a Quick Job request?"

 

...because I can often finish Sightseer VIP work before Quick Job even begins to find enough players to launch it.

 

Pretty sad.

I'm beginning to see why people hate playing with randoms. Nobody on my friend list was online so I thought "hmm, I'll join some random invites" worst.idea.ever.

 

Deliver EMP - Failed multiple times because people used RPG's, heavy sniper rifles and other "loud" weapons. Dudes driving the insurgent into the lab before we even started taking out the guards, one player didn't know how to hack but refused to let anyone else try. Host finally rage quit, I totally understand that host.

 

Series A Trash truck - Took over 2.5 hours to complete because of players going full rambo and refusing to listen to anything the host said. I don't even know why I stayed that long, I felt kinda bad for the host and I really wanted to help him complete the mission so I guess that's why

 

I don't expect people to be perfect players and never mess up, I still have much to learn myself and I can certainly mess up from time to time, it's just frustrating when some people refuse to listen to any advice and keep failing the missions because of the same mistakes over and over and over.

 

On the bright side, people from my list came online later and we played humane labs with no incidents, it went quick and easy. What a difference it makes to have a regular group the play with

I've pretty much given up looking for 'normal people' in GTA Online. Can't play without dealing with some neurotic asswang who thinks it's normal to give you grief, or not talk at all and still expect you to play. Having played for the last three years normal is as elusive as the jet pack...

Why the big focus on talking?

 

I don't use a mic a whole lot. If you have something to say to me, say it and I'll probably do it. There's not a whole lot in the game that needs to be discussed to be able to do it.

So I tried doing normal things in a public lobby the other night. I flew a miljet down to the beach because I wanted to see the halloween masks. Level 6000 exact shows up and shoots me as I'm getting to the mask shop. He then goes on to steal my miljet. Of course because I parked it on the beach in between a bunch of poles (Maned can vouch for the stupid ways I manage to land aircraft), he has to go through a taxiing maze. I just minigunned the sh*t out of the plane to kill him.

 

Checked his stats and what do I find? No boat. Minimum driving skill, minimum strength, etc. Rockstar, how stupid is your system at finding script kiddies and modded accounts? Shouldn't that be a bigger priority than trying to reset everyone that does a simple money glitch because they're sick of the idiotic grind this game is?

 

Seriously though, practically everyone that's been playing the game for more than 2 seconds knows that a miljet is a pegasus vehicle. If you manage to steal it and take off, you better hope you don't make it out over water because that's exactly where you'll end up when it's reclaimed. Killing him was a mercy.

 

Oh, and the masks are overpriced and only 2 or 3 of them are worth picking up.

I'm starting to get a bit worried about GTAO as a series. I feel like there's been a shift from Rockstar gently pushing their luck pricing wise to them blatantly taking the piss and it seems that a lot of people don't give a sh*t and in fact I've seen them being praised for it which is mind boggling. Good for them but if Rockstar starts to seriously listen to them as an average consumer then there's potential for the next game to be not much more than an enormous cash grab.

 

Generally speaking the more money an entertainment product generates the more soulless it becomes and the less I like it. There are exceptions.

 

If the new Red Dead is thinly veiled attempt to rip people off rather than a beautiful single player experience then I'm going to have to chuck my current opinion of Rockstar out of the window and form a much more negative one.

But a some of the things they've done with Online have really lowered their reputation for me.

I don't doubt RDR will have Micro-transactions or something like it. The model has been so successful because players continue to buy sharkcards so why in the world would rockstar change their business model now.

 

Fingers crossed for another great story mode anyway, I don't know how online was done on the last game because I didn't play it but that story was one of my all time favorites. As much as I didn't like how it ended, I kinda did and wouldn't of wanted it to end any other way. It really was an amazing experience for me.

I just want to say, the days of me being bored by CEO Missions are now gone because of the Biker Update. Unless you are in a massive leather clad gang (all wearing spikey helmets and are impossible to kill), its so rubbish it's unreal. Playing solo, shall I use my Kuruma, Grotti or fully customed Voodoo or use a sh*t bike? The whole biker thing bores me.
