Am I the only one who thinks that there would still be people complaining if we all got 1m for free?

We could have gotten more.We could have gotten nothing.

I'm personally fine with the 250K. What I'm tired of are the "it's free, you're entitled if you have anything but positive things to say" knobs.

But in your post you're saying someone chose to be upset? That's about as dumb as somebody saying they chose to have the hair color they were born with. Nobody chooses to be offended. They choose to express how they feel but they don't choose to feel offended.

I can't see how complaining about free money is anything other than entitlement in its purest form. It's important to make the point that it's free money, not some free random crap. It's different to that.In the last thread points where brought up on how they should've tried a little harder to give us something special or unique. Even in place of money.

 

Believe me it's not as black and white as y'all make it out to be. Nobody tries to see things from other points of views ever. That's the problem here and I wish it would stop.

I just didn't like the way some (only a few) people were conducting themselves in there. But then, I tend to bring that out in people.

 

My final (trying not be clouded by anything) summary: You take what you can get. Considering the buggy-ness more (or something more special like a vehicle) would've been nice, but anything's better than nothing.

On another note, the other day Mach1bud said something about people from Rockstar being members on here - maybe we should have a witch hunt?

See, that right there. I absolutely agree with you.

People are free to feel however they like about free ingame money.

 

My issue is that, if you honestly don't appreciate the free cash, why even bring it up?

Unless you want it removed, or it has deeply inconvenienced you, why are people unhappy with the gesture?

 

And at the same time, calling those who are voicing their unhappiness without reading their argument entitled is still rude.

Okay, I can agree to aspects of this.

But, and I really don't want to go off on a rant that makes me sound rude here, being "offended" is defined as negative feelings towards a perceived insult.

If you perceive free money as an insult rather than a positive, then you're choosing to be offended.

We're not talking an offhanded comment or some sort of discrimination here...

Stunt jumps. All I'll say is, I'm on day 2 of my search for the last one. Looking for a good guide that actually shows accurate locations. I've given up on actually pinpointing the last jump and going straight there, I just want a damn map with accurate locations so I can go do all 50 again (and waste like 2 hours doing that, thank you wrecked PVs/mechanic cooldown/hydra spawn spots being in gang attack locations 9 out of 10 times/stunt jumps being stupidly strict on what counts as the proper landing zone)

Still pissed that we don't have an NPC bodyguard option. The MerryWeather Backup Helicopter is useless on the move. It couldn't keep up with a Faggio if its life depended on it. At least give us something to help defend us reliably on the move when you're playing solo. Those Prisoners in the "Jailbreak" MC Contract job are wonderful. They're so freaking accurate, even against players. I literally saw them gun down a player that tried to attack the Prison Bus while I was driving it and also saw them shoot out a player out of his buzzard. That's the type of NPCs I want as bodyguards to follow me around on foot and in vehicles.

1 - Randoms who don't stay by the bank during the PS final despite being sent multiple text messages, Xbox Live messages and being asked in game chat then end up dying repeatedly.

 

2 - Randoms who after dying multiple times during the PS final decide to leave when we're all in the Kuruma.

 

3 - Rockstar deleted all of my outfits and not a single one of them was glitched. Even worse is when I tried to remake and save them I kept getting a black screen with a "Rockstar services unavailable" message before being kicked back to single player. I really don't want to run around freeroam in a heavy vest like a try-hard just in case I might want to do a heist.

 

4 - The annoyance of someone on your friend list killing you multiple times while you try desperately to change your targetting settings from 'Strangers' to something which will let you lock on before they get you again. Out in the open it'd not be such a problem but when it's the close confines of a yacht during PP it's horrible.

Why does it seem like 99% of players have no common sense whatsoever? I see them do the stupidest things ever, including:

- flying their car through corners without breaking

- crashing and smashing into everything

- not being able to maintain the most basic of basics: driving in the middle of a lane. Instead, they drive as if they're on drugs/drunk (i.e. not having control over their car. I know that this is partially affected by the driving stat, but come on).

- jumping out of my car mid-heist

- dying several times mid-heist

I know that any normal person would never do these things. Oh look, a car, I can't figure out that I will crash into it even though I'm speeding at 120 mph inside a city (where the max is 55 mph). Oh look, I'm driving on a lane, could that possibly mean I have to skiddle on the outside of the curb and ruin my tires? Why yes, let's do that. And so on..

I mean, it's like they never even heard of the following real life driving principles. It's like they don't have a driver's license in real life.

Everyone with a driver's license knows them and applies them, even in a game, because they actually help you not to crash into every other obstacle:

- bypass a car only when there is no car behind you trying to bypass, only if the situation in front of you is safe (no oncoming traffic in opposite lane) and only if you can catch up to the other car fast enough. Ignore any of these rules and you'll likely have an accident.

- break before a curve, not in it. Accelerate out of the curve.

- FWD cars cause understeer, RWD cars cause oversteer

- violently and abruptly breaking before or inside a curve whilst abruptly changing direction will cause understeer or oversteer unless you adjust your breaking behavior in time

- keep right, once bypassed a car, go back to the right lane

- give priority where the signs say so

- never bypass in a curve or hill

- breaking distance is generally speed divided by 2

Now, why do these kids act like dumbasses? A hypothesis comes to mind:

- they are little underage kids

- they are a certain age but their parents never taught them discipline (no cheating), honor (doing the right thing. Yes, I know this sounds ironic), courage (helping others in dangerous situations) or hospitality (waiting on others and understanding they are not as skilled as you are)

- they are very dumb

- they don't own a driver's license in real life
