But I've been playing GTA IV MP lately and I hate when I try to do co op missions to rank up and no one joins.

Then I can't even invite others to the game from the dashboard?!?!?! is there another way to get this

 

BTW there needs to be a GTA IV B&M thread

This brings me back to a couple years ago before V was released on PC and me and a friend got a guy with a trainer to spawn in millions of dollars in a co-op mode to rank us up to the max level. Good times.

Here's a B&M of my own for GTA IV: It doesn't launch any more. Every time I try to start it up it says the social club failed to authenticate, even after double- and triple- checking that my password was correct.

Why is there an option to vote for freemode on job voting screens? Just leave the damn thing.

So that you and your friends can matchmake back into the same lobby with one another after the job instead of leaving and splitting into your own games.

I play shooter games and use assault rifles almost exclusively and, in GTAO have fallen in love with the suppressed Special Carbine. Problem is, everyone in free roam uses long range weapons..This is really annoying. They bring up the scope..move from side to side and continuously 'roll' until they finally kill me. I refuse to use scoped weapons and, beyond that, RPGs.

The only time I can actually do some shooting is in contact missions or survival.. This is getting boring because I'm only fighting NPCs...or as we shooter game players call them.. 'bots' I say to the scope whores "grab your carbine and fight like a soldier and they either ignore, or try to insult me, implying that I'm a bad player...'get gud'...Is that all there is in PvP? It's sad. I just wanna get them in range and zip 'em up from chest to head. Maybe GTAO isn't the game for me.

Why don't you play DMs/TDMs or LTS with forced + pickups (on maps without RPGs and/or snipers)? I always use forced + pickups if I am hosting.

 

I myself have never quite understood the fascination with the on-going free roam fighting. Sure, I suppose it could be interesting every now and then (for a short period of time), but it seems that outside of free roam activities, that is what the majority of players do whilst in free roam. I just can't be arsed to do it and would rather do some sort of job or even take pictures.

 

My BaM for the day--"Real Name Requests" on PSN. Why the hell do you need to know my real name (especially if I just met you)? Also, if I deny your request, that doesn't mean that I need you to send me another shortly thereafter or spam me with party chat invites.

I never understood the real name requests. My psn is my real name already. It's funny my psn is my name and my "real name" is major buzzkillington. I still don't accept them.

 

Also I was going to say the same thing about setting up a DM or something if someone wants to play with certain weapons.

 

I'm definitely a player killer tho that can spend my entire gta game time doing so in freeroam. Not that that's all I do all the time but I certainly can. I'd much rather hunt and kill players then run the same contact missions killing NPCs. It just switches things up killing actual players it's exciting killing someone and realizing that there are better then you, the game changes and you end up fighting for survival. So much fun in freeroam, for me there is always someone better that catches me off guard. That's when the fun really starts, if it goes all out war or a simple game of cat and mouse it's always fun.

 

My [email protected] is those players who are not passive mode but still get mad when you kill them. People need to use passive if they don't want a fight, that's what it's for.

It's 1000 times more low-level tolerant than it was in 2013 and 2014.

A rank-2 can have explosives, rocket launcher, sniper-class gun, great machine guns, and even armed vehicles.

DLC items aren't rank-locked, but there was a long time before there was much DLC... and, no, low ranks back then weren't excited to get the broken bottle or SNS pistol.

 

Even a low-ish rank can get a minimum CEO setup, and few legitimate activities can earn so much RP is so little time and effort.

Entered the game - in the mood for a stunt race - opened phone - selected stunt series quickstart - loading...

Found myself in a parachute jump lobby with 9 others.

Funny thing, all used quickstart on phone for a stunt race, they all stayed for the drop and after that all voted for a stunt race. Noone was bumping or driving like a dunce and we had some of our greatest races since release.

I know how you feel on that front. Its fu*king annoying when your shopping and some tosser kills you and closes the store. Basically when your fighting someone who shoots you first then it escalates into a war and you beat them. If you understand what I'm saying.

This game has secretly put me out of passive mode without me doing anything smfh. Like, when i was just sitting in my car, looking at some cars that i wanted to buy on my phone, all of a sudden, someone shot me with a sniper and my screen says, "wasted". I'm like, WTF? I thought on was on passive mode!! Then in another time, it happened again. I was pausing the screen to look at the map in a public lobby, all of a sudden i feel a vibration on my controller. I've unpaused the game and someone was shooting me to death smfh.

 

Now i have to keep checking the interaction menu to make sure that my passive mode isn't disabled whenever i'm in a public lobby.

 

Rockstar needs to fix this sh*t immediately.

For me, it depends on what you define as a fight. You could be me recently, my CEO earlier did that in some sort of odd attempt to hit on me (calmly told him to piss off and continue to use that fleshlight he was so proudly bragging about a few seconds ago).

 

GTA V, the only game on Xbox one that, game Invites will randomly stop working (refuse to get online session details), won't open or start with an "do you own this game or app" error message, that your frame rate is based off server lag (higher the lag, lower the frame rate), etc. etc, etc.

Well that's a perfect example of being a bad sport. Blowing up an empty car.

 

Steaming into ammunition is not cheating. You can stand at the door and fire in, personally you are fair game if you aren't passive, that's basically where my line is. A dick move but not cheating. I usally don't hesitate if I'm on the ground to start a fight by doing this.

B&M #1

Why do the dynamic balls in the Creator float in midair until a player touches them?

 

I just wanted to make a race where you face 20 oncoming giant balls but they just sit in the sky until something interacts with them and then the physics switch gets turned on and gravity exists so they can roll down ramps.

 

Follow up B&M #A:

Every time I exited this race in the Creator and came back to work on it, it changed the name to "No Translation"

"Balls Out!" is not a sexual innuendo.

Why no toggle for Custom Vehicles - Off?

I'm trying to do a Dunes-only race and it won't let me turn off customs.

Now the pictures in my Social Club account (which can only be edited in-game and not over the more-powerful interwebs) are giving the error "Data appears to be corrupted" for every picture (meaning I have to press X 12 times as it tries to load each picture). The photos load fine through Social Club, but can't be loaded, deleted, or edited in-game.

Feel like taking advantage of double money and RP in Entourage, so I use Quick Job. Click on Adversary Mode, and wait. Palomino Shore comes up, not an AM. Try again. At the Races, again, not an AM. Try again, and keep getting sh*t that isn't an Adversary Mode for a good ten minutes straight and finally when I'm about to hurl my controller at the TV out of frustration, it finally puts me in Entourage II. Get your sh*t together, and your heads out of your asses Rockstar.

Its doing that because its x2 money if it wasn't you would join Entourage right away. Only time R* will get their heads out of their asses is if it involves something about losing shark card sales or money glitches. I can't really blame them though, if I was a greedy piece of sh*t I would focus on the money only.

For some reasons I always stumble over some shouting Russians. But I also had someone blasting death metal or some sh*t like that over their mic. And at one time I intruded on some lovely conversation where most sentences were entirely made of f*ck and the C word. Not that I'm prudish or something, but there are some things I don't need to listen to. Bowel movements among them, which makes for my most memorable moment as far as mics in this game are concerned.
