Truly a missed opportunity.  Rockstar could've bundled this game with a custom engraved external drive that comes in a Dutch's bag replica.  Pfft....amateur hour type sh*t here.

It's one or the other:

• They really are deliberately dropping info, considering the hype we have here on forums. And they truly tease us.
• Ooooor they don't care. They don't read any forums, no conspiracy theories, they just drop info on a schedule, like a professional would.

this is nuts. when a wolf bites you it will dynamically get bloody teeth. crouching is confirmed. boars are confirmed. Euphoria is as close to confirmed as possible. They are talking about enemies getting shot, stumbling, then falling to the ground, then getting up again, only to fall again. without getting shot again. apparently the eco-system is not just a "simple" food chain. animals change behavior dependent on hunger settings. they meet a bear and rockstar is telling them to stay clear because the bear is hungry and angry.

So, a few pages back(I forgot to quote it), someone suggested that maybe Rockstar are being relatively tight lipped this week due to the release of OPM. That was then shot down because OPM was released two days ago. 

 

That's not how it would work though, is it? Yeah, released two days ago, but it doesn't stop selling after two days. Not only that, but the trailer is made to bring in new buyers, which would be the same type of person who doesn't rush to purchase a mag with a cowboy on the cover on the day/week of release. I'd say the original scenario makes perfect sense as a possible explanation of the possibly "unnatural" delay of new info being released. And if those possibilities = reality, gameplay 2 should reveal significant new stuff that makes the previews outdated.

 

Went from playing on the cautions side of speculation to speculating wildly there, but I guess that is how it goes. I didn't even know there was a normal schedule for trailer-releases until I came here, and am still not sure what that schedule would actually be.

The FO76 Xbox Beta is the 23rd, so they'll have a few days of hype before RDR2 drops, then PC/PS4 beta on the 30th, they'll no doubt maximise the exposure from the PC beta by giving keys to every streamer and youtuber in existence. Makes more sense then having all three platforms have the beta on the 23rd, tbh - though not like that was an option as MS have the marketing deal I believe?

 

It'll probably be fine, there will be plenty of console players not interested in RDR2 but are interested in FO76 and ofc the PC crowd who don't have a choice in the matter. It's a little funky that this is pretty much a stress test and not a test of mechanics/gameplay (given the close proximity to the games launch). Probably not an ideal time to do the test but they have to do it at some point.
