"And to gear up for Red Dead Redemption 2 later this year" and somehow this assures you people there isn't gonna be a delay anymore? Not trying to be pessimistic but to be honest the fact they said "later this year" instead of "october" could indicate they intend to push it back to november or december possibly. I mean does it really feel like they're getting the game ready for launch? They're being way to silent IMO

Man. I get where you're coming from. But that means nothing. They know that people ALREADY know the release date of October 26th. No need to say exactly it again. And I mean it's not like it wasn't their pinned tweet and whatnot for a while

So without further ado..here is part two

As Arthur stands before the entrance of Dutch's tent he takes off his hat to scratch his head like a man possessed while thinking to himself "I hope it's not lice..been scratching like this for some days now...might have to cut my hair soon". 

 

Arthur quietly enters Dutch's tent where he finds him shaving his beard in front of a small, stained mirror with some cracks in.

 

As Dutch carefully manoevres with te blade around his mustache he says "fine mornin' ain't it?...sunny huh?"

 

"Sunny but cold" anwsers Arthur short where after he sits down on a small stool crafted from the very same trees as from the forest where the gang is hiding out in now.

 

Arthur takes the red apple and small loaf of dry bread lying on Dutch's cabinet as a convenient breakfast. While taking a big bite out of the apple. Arthur asks Dutch with a heavy voice "So you had a job for me?"

 

"Always straight to the point eh? A hard worker like always. That's why you're my main man!" Says Dutchs while taking a sip from yesterday's moonshine.

 

"You want some?" Asks Dutch with a short breath after taking a second sip from the rusty can of moonshine.

 

"That's sh*t makes a man piss lead. I'll stick to regular whiskey...thanks" Arthur says with a faint smile.

 

"Ain't no proper whiskey here in the middle of the woods. So we've got to do with this homebrewn attempt at alcohol" says Dutch after letting out a loud laugh.

 

"As much as I like nature, we need to get back to civilization, Dutch. We've been camping in this forest since early July, after our last robbery.

 

I've hunted every godd*mn deer and rabbit that could be found in this forest. Picked every piece of edible fruit that can be seen around here. This place is running low on resources." says Arthur seriously.

 

Dutch turns around to look in the mirror without saying anything. A small drop blood runs along his jaw from the shave he just did. He takes a small cloth from his pocket to clean his wound.

 

"Look, the weather is getting colder, we haven't had a decent meal in days, lice are going around in the camp our horses are full of ticks..We have to get away from here."

 

We need to stock up for winter, Dutch! Medicine, food, new clothes,..all of that. We need to get last heist's money back from the bank." Says Artur anxiously.

 

"Correct....that's where you come in" says Dutch calm.

 

"How so?" Asks Arthur.

 

"Look in that cabinet next to you, son. There's a ledger in it". Dutch says while taking a piece of chewing tobacco from his pocket.

 

 

"It's full of names, what gives?" asks Arthur curiously to Dutch. 

 

"Look closely, Arthur. See anything familiar?"

 

"...Emmet Paxton, John Kleinn and Erik Tallenberger. Aren't those the bank guys who are keeping our money from last robbery safe, while we are keeping a low profile here?" 

 

"Yes...indeed. Turns out during our two month absence, they were making a run for it with sh*tloads of dollars because the law is looking for them due to involvement with laundry money".

 

"So I guess, I'll track these rats down to get our money back. Anwsers Arthur immediatly.

 

Just as Dutch was about to anwser , John Marston walked into to the tent...

It not really that bad, they've been pretty much on par with GTAVs marketing. I don't understand how people still don't realize GTAVs first gameplay came until JULY 9th and the game released on SEPTEMBER 17th

 

thats only like  two months and at that rate we wouldn't get an RDRII gameplay until late July/August at the least.

 

everything else has been pretty much spot on so why not that?

 

besides even if there WERE delay, it's only be for two Or three weeks at most like with RDR,  But why waste energy worrying about that now? As far as we know the game is perfectly on track. I refuse to believe anything else until proven otherwise.

It seems that this is the first Rockstar hype train for some people,because anyone who saw the GTA 5 hype train knows there is nothing out of ordinary in RDR2's marketing.

Wish people would stop with the excuses for Rockstar!! They shouldn't be following GTA 5's marketing they are two different games. I really want this game to do well but they are making the mistake of thinking this game is on par in terms of recognition to GTA they should be marketing like crazy. It's been five years things have changed and I just hope it doesn't bite them in the Ass.

Things have changed a lot in the industry but thankfully despite all the things people say(like about GTA O) R* seems to remain the same. And that's one of the blessings. I don't want another one of my favorite developers to jump on the bandwagon of stupid marketing strategy like other developers.

Anyone know what actually happens in the final 2-3 months of game development? Are game essentially done at that point, and it's just a matter of polishing, ironing out bugs, optimising etc?

Has anyone seen the silver band around the wolf's right foot in the first trailer? First time I ever noticed it. I'm just speculating but could that be a trap/sign that we will be able to have animal traps in this game for hunting? Couldnt figure out how to upload a photo so you’ll just have to rewatch the first trailer to see what im talking about. Tell me what you think.

Usually, these months are dedicated to optimizing textures, bug fixes and lighting.
* Seeing that it is an open world game, this requires more time.
