Funnily enough, I've been replaying Bloodborne. Now whenever I hear about fire, I think about how beast enemies are weak to fire.

you guys arent the only who think of the bonfires and whatnot... I LOVEEE dark souls and bloodborne!! cant wait for sekiro shadows die twice!! go, link the fire ashen one.. for it is our fate. the undead shall remain unkindled. oh and the beast is a curse and the curse is a shackle. for a hunter must hunt. the foul beasts scourge the night...

Well..1911 Blackwater was more of a town than a city. For me to have st. Denis feel like a booming city, it has to be at least 1/3 of modern day Los Santos.

bc the same happened to the blimb and the stunt aircraft lessons in GTA V.

Obviously Blackwater will be a bit smaller than in Red Dead as the sequel takes place 12 years prior and all of the buildings won't have been built yet.

I don't expect Saint Denis to be f*cking huge, but it looks to be about three times the size of the original Blackwater, and in comparison to RDR2's Blackwater it should look very impressive

I wonder if there will be more than one saloon in that city.

Recently I read here that a few don´t like June/July ... Summer is the best time for me, even though I can´t have October fast enough this year ^^
I´m currently on vacation ... with my family and two of our horses with my parents in West Germany. The weather is great here at the moment, we just have fun and time does´t matter.
I wish you all a great holiday time :D October comes faster than we think and it will be deep red, guys ^^

Wow... RDR2’s first person view looks impressive, and them graphics are truly next gen! But seriously hope you have a wonderful summer and by the time it ends RDR will be out before we know it

No i think it will be more like 2/3 of the city of Los Santos tbh with you. A guy on the mapping thread was able to put together the puzzle pieces of the collectors box and edited the perspective a little bit. 

 

Looks more like 2/3 to me and it sounds about right because this time around we'll be using horses as our transport not super cars lmao. For me the bigger the better.

Sorry but that does not look like 2/3 of present day Los Santos to me. If you were to put LS in jigsaw puzzle form it would be alot bigger I think.

3-5 times the size of rdr1 blackwater seems about right.

 

I think there's a high chance of having multiple saloons and even a hospital tbh.

I think St. Denis looks smaller then then what it actually is because of the perspective and the messed up proportions of the puzzle. I think the city of los santos feels/looks big because of the huge skyscrapers, buildings, lights and the overall verticality of the city. In st. Denis there are no sky scrapers, cars or highways. St Denis is mostly flat.

 My guess is also that Saint Denis is going to be roughly 3x the size of Blackwater at most. My bigger hope though is that there are more smaller towns like Armadillo. I love the wilderness of RDR but when it's not filled with much it can get sort of boring for me after awhile, especially with all the long distance travelling during or to quests. It got to the point I'd just avoid most windy roads and go as straight as possible from A to B.

I agree, maybe more random encounters can help as well? The one in RDR1 where a random guy claiming he needs a ride tries to steal your horse was cool. Obviously it catched me right the f*ck off guard the first time and i lost my horse. But after a few times i was able to anticipate it more. More unpredictable stuff like that happening to you while you travel is something i hope R has improved.

Did some digging and found out Take two had 1st quarter investor calls on August 2016 and 2017, There is a chance of another Investor call this coming August. Something should be coming around late July. Lets also remember R* said some pre-order bonuses end before July 31st, So anything could happen this coming month. Keep your eyes peeled

Yeah, I agree. What is the point of having  one big city when the rest of the map feels empty.

 

But let's not forget that there actually are regions like that in the heartlands, where you have nothing but barren wastelands or lush forests without any sign of civilization.

 

So I think there needs to be a good balance between the two.

That city in the jigsaw is no where near the size of Los Santos. It's the size of one of it's smaller suburbs at best, the arena near the airport is probably nearly as big as the entire town.
