Honestly, it's nothing surprising. It's simple cross platform promotion and they are by no means the first to do it with pre-orders. Blizzard and Valve will give you exclusive skins and sh*t across their games when you pre-order their new upcoming games. In that regard, GTA$ is nothing, I'm a little surprised they didn't offer exclusive RDR2 themed GTAO skins or something, 500k GTAO cash isn't much these days.

 

Remember how we basically called this last year? Then the treasure hunt in GTAO? It's the same thing, they're gonna advertise RDR2 through GTAO and why not, it costs them basically zero and has an audience still in the millions.

True, very true. it was just surprising at first seeing it, very new to me i can tell you that. Now some RDR2 themed clothing or something would have been dope af you right about that.

understandable things pointed out. but hey is it just me or..? for one id much rather them put more resources into the GAME like they are doing this time. rather than the 'marketing' R* know what theyre doing man. also i enjoy gta o. idgaf if some of it is a 'cash grab' listen companies need to make money . they gotta eat like the rest of us. gta o has NEVER been to the extent of what EA star wars BF2 was. i obtained everything in gta anyone else has. NO sharkcards needed. idk man im just tired of some of the complaining in here. i love this place but sometimes its just annoying. im not tryin to be a dick but this is how i feel bout all the back and forth. im here to talk RDR,R*,and our general lives. not how scummy rockstar supposedly is and this and that from tryin to make monety. things in life aint free folks.. anyway we are SO close to RDR2 now and im ridiculously HYPEEEE❤

I don't think we'll see anything until after E3.  My gut tells me it'll be a batch of screenshots and hopefully a date for a gameplay trailer.

Money is always going to be put aside for advertising, but I think the advertising budget for RDR2 will be comparatively small relative to GTAV, just as RDR's ad budget was small compared to GTAIV's

yessss thats true man. RDR is a different game in its own spotlight which is also why i feel it will be at e3 on sonys stage in some way.

I've been enjoying Red Dead Radio so far.  It's cool there's a weekly program dedicated to it.

Now i doubt the story will revolve around obtaining wealth but i figure online will be tho. How they plan on doing that is intriguing all in itself. I would love to be a wealthy gold miner or rancher or something. You guys think we done for june with info tho? if so when is the next time we could probably expect some juicy stuff.

I have a feeling rockstar will take a slightly different approach to supporting and making money from RDR 2....what approach that will be???....we’ll find out sooner or later.....
