Do we have a poll regarding who's/how many are buying/pre-ordering what kind of edition (Standard, SE, UE, CB, digital, physical)?

Sometimes I really question the mental capabilities of the R* Support. I asked them the question if the digital Treasure Map (Pre-order bonus by July 31st) is the same as the physical Treasure Map (part of the Collector's Box).

 

What they did in response was sending me a link to the article describing the editions…

Why give GTA online money when you order RDR II? I mean.. This is your first new game in 5 years and you are sharing Red Dead's spotlight with GTA? Is this your way of getting kids who play GTA online get Red Dead Redemption 2? giving away GTA online $, so they could buy your new game? I thought R* was better than this 

 

Note: I actually thought about this when they revealed the bonuses & chose to say nothing.. But this keeps bugging me.

GTA Online has become a world in itself. So why not use that as advertisement for your newest game? If you play GTA Online the bonuses are actually quite nice, and if not, why bother?

That's clever marketing because if they had given cash bonus in rdr online people would have been gone crazy over microtransactions by now instead they chose gta online so people would believe into thinking that rdr 2  will not feature any microtransactions and will pre order asap , clever   (scummy) marketing .

 @Spider-Vice @TheExecutor10 Absolutely.. I get that. The thing is GTA V came out 5 years ago and they are promoting an upcoming game via their old game(Gta Online), Thats kinda smart and cool. My question is why are you giving GTA online $ as an RDR II pre-order bonus? Shouldn't they be giving bonuses related to Red Dead?

 

Edit: I just feel like they're depending on GTA online too much.. Anyway, I got it off my chest

Let's say you're a fan of GTAO and still playing it regularly but you're not sure if you should get RDR2. Some GTA Dollars might help you with that decision.

@Rockstar Vienna Exactly.. Rockstar has always delivered top notch games.. They don't have to depend on some GTA online dollars for Red Dead sales. If the game is awesome (Which I'm 100% sure will be) people will automatically buy it, right?

I really don't understand your gripe with that incentive, Jesus. It's just that, an incentive for people that might doubt about buying the game and that might get them to buy it.

Word of mouth really sells games so those that are on the fence might be sold on the game just by word of mouth and playing it at a friend's house if people still go over friends houses? Haha i'm working all the time myself I don't get that option much these days.

I loved seeing that coral snake on the cards. Only make me wonder how many will be in game, RDR on had like 1 or 2 snakes i believe. i hope we can see vipers, cottenmouth and more with stronger poison and abilities. ilove snakes man

Snakes are underused in games which is a shame imo. Always just a non moving enemy with a weak attack. Hopefully some types move in II or at least have a real strong and venomous bite so it's not so easy to kill it.

Hopefully it's easier to see them this time.  I always got caught off guard when me or my horse got bit by a rattlesnake.  I remember going searching for them so I could get the skins for the Deadly Assassin outfit.

I think you mean Expert Hunter Outfit, but yes, what a pain in the ass that was. Took me upwards of an hour to do it.

f*ck YEA MAN! in some of the best open world games snakes are never used, never even thought of that until now bro wow.  Yea tho man, you trying to hunt peacefully thinking everything sweet on and you moving in for a shot and all you hear is a rattler or you don't even see it coming down a tree and it strikes you outta nowhere. That is the kind of sh*t i want to experience, not just snake sitting on the side of the road like props for a easy kill. I would love to even stumble upon a f*ckin snake pit f*ck it lol go all out rockstar. When im bit by a snake, attacks by wolves, mauled by a bear, shot whatever. I would like the character to display that. that's all i ask...  You can shot a deer the things screams and limps, allow the player to feel shot etc as well.

After rewatching the 3rd Trailer and looking at the image of the bonus heist of the special edition i am pretty certain that we see Uncle as part of the crew on the very front.

 

It will be interesting to see him actually do something for once.

I think i'm gonna boot up red dead and try to finish getting 100% on it. it's something i've never done but wanted to.

Because of f*cking Rockstar I won't pre-order RDR2 yet.

 

I still can't decide between PS4 and Xbox One version. I have the option to play on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The X will look best, but the PS has first access to some content.

 

What do you guys think?
