Certainly nothing definitive, but could be an indication that a crouching system similar to that in GTA IV will be implemented in RDR2 as opposed to the "stealth mode" that replaced crouching in GTA V.

That would be preferable. I was thinking in terms of the GTA games cos of how it was the most recent GTA that removed crouching.

It's slightly surreal seeing Rockstar reply to people on Twitter and clarify some points

Get the standard game and just watch the bank robbery side quest mission and extra gang hideout on Youtube.

These side activities at best are going to include an extra 20-30 minutes of gameplay and the only unique thing you'll potentially experience from these side activies are a few minutes of extra dialogue-- you can just watch the extra cutscenes/dialogues on Youtube.

So, it seems we cannot rob a bank unless it's a main or a side mission and there were no gas stations to rob back in 1899.

 

Is there anything we can rob without being a mission of some sort?

A stage coach?....A train?...Are all robberies part of a story?

Other than robbing individual NPCs, we don't know at this point.

I think it's just one particular bank robbery that they are making pre order exclusive. The bank in Rhodes im sure that there are a bunch of other banks we can rob without getting the special edition.

I hope that outfits work the way they do in GTAV. So you can get full outfits with the option to customise.

The fact that they go into immense detail to describe every part of the outfit hints towards further customization. And remember what they said about your hat getting shot off. They said you'd have to buy a new one if you lost it, which leads me to believe there are multiple pieces of clothing.

Yes, that seems to be the case.

If you watch carefully the trailers on youtube in 0.25 speed you can tell that when Arthur is in motion every piece of equipment or clothing moves independently....the gun belt, the scarf, the jacket etc.

Looks like a layered system.

I read some of the comments from facebook on rockstars post. LMAO people are so f*cking stupid.

 

another point i’d like to bring out about people complaining about the “cut story content being dlc” 

it’s literally just a f*cking pre order bonus, and it’s NOT taking elements away from the story at all. People worry way too much. It’s Just like V got exclusive guns and vehicls in their pre order bonuses. Jeez just because the highly reputable game company monetized ONE game means that their whole reputation has to be sh*t? People need to take a chill pill and just trust R*. When was the last time they gave us a half assed story game? I wouldn’t consider V to be half assed either because every aspect of that story was unique and introduced alot more mechanics to be brought again and improved in the future.

In Single Player, OK, yeah, you can  make yourself look like an idiot. We don't care. 

 

But hey, in Online, we're trying to discourage the 8 to 12 year old demographic from f*cking it all up.  Besides, players who run around looking like clowns breaks the immersion.  So the outfits in Online all have to be serious and realistic.  Amirite?

War horse was not a draft type horse in the first game.

Actually there were no different horse builds in RDR, all horses had identical body type.

 

Now, as far as thoroughbreds, we all know that they are the real race horses.

In fact if your horse is not a registered thoroughbred, you cannot even enter it in an official horse race in real life.

 

I expect a big difference in acceleration and speed between the two.

You´re absolutly right ... but the fastest horse on a short distance is the American Quarter Horse ... for me the western breed par excellence. Fast, sturdy, agile, clever, strong-nerved and have "cow sense" ... perfect for working with cattle.  A thoroughbred or Ardennes wouldn´t be suitable for ...  but it's a game it doesn´t matter.

That city looks Dope asf!! Ahh man My wife is not going to get any attention for a week or 2 after release, i think she is fully aware of that by now lol. There are going to be many, many sleepless nights, breaking day still playing this. This is turning out to be everything I could ask for. A slither of gameplay, Online details and a trailer and I'll be happier than a pig in sh*t. E3 isn't but a few days away too. TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man and many other surprises. Great time to be a gamer i tell you.

I think that lovely background is a revisit to Riley's Charge from the first RDR - look at the cannons and ruined fortifications.

Yes its definitely gameplay we can see him doing it in the 3rd trailer and we also see Arthur courching when aiming his bow at the animal.
