I assume it'll launch 2 weeks later just like GTAO did. I don't recall them doing GTAO bonuses for GTA V pre-orders back in the day either though? Only for the NG and PC versions

I think they don't have any other choice then to do it that way or else we'll crash their weak ass servers like when GTAV launched. + R* are super afraid people won't care about the story if Online is available on launch, which is very accurate. I don't mind playing trough the story and getting familiar with the controls and the mechanics of the game before going into online.

Yea I think it's Rockstar wanting players to play the story. I remember seeing a quote saying how they were disappointed by the SP story completion % for GTA IV and it doesn't surprise me, a lot of people were straight into the online for that game. I'm fine with it my self, means I get to enjoy the story at my pace without missing that launch buzz for the online mode.

Looks like I'm going to have to do what I did with Franklin and "throw" the money away. I had to mod the same car until all 500k was spent then ditch it. I don't want "free" money to ruin my exploration and grinding, I do that on my own terms.

That doesn't mean to say there won't be microtransactions of some sort. But maybe they will be for direct purchases of items rather than for virtual currency.

I mean it's hard to imagine in a way considering GTA Online. But why would they give you bonus money for a game other than the one you're actually pre-ordering - even it were only able to be spent later on?

It really sucks that the pre-order includes the standard war horse and not the awesome flaming one from Undead Nightmare ;(

Both are going to get these, PlayStation on the other hand will have first access to some exclusive online content

The only bonuses GTA Online had were free access to the Collectors Edition content, not much else.

It's the same War Horse that was a pre-order bonus for Red Dead Redemption (1).

Can this War Horse be found in the wild or is it the only one you get with the pre-order bonus? What if it dies, can it respawn?

It's only available as a pre-order bonus, you get a deed for it in your inventory by default and use it to call another one if your War Horse dies.

I thought the horses are permadeath? Except for the War Horse or what?

I really hoped that we wouldn't have that thing where the horse magically reappears after death, it really ruins the experience for me.

Now since the warhorse is a pre-order bonus, I guess that "horse cloning and ressurection" will still exist in the game.

I would guess there are various breeds of horse you can purchase, and War Horse will be one such breed. If your War Horse dies you can purchase another of the War Horse breed, but would have to start the bonding process from scratch. From what I'm to gather the bonding process won't increase the speed/stamina of your horse, that will be dependant on the breed, but will rather decrease the chance of your horse spooking and make it more obedient.

Why are you guys so pessimistic about it? Jeez. If the horse bonding and horse permadeath is in the game just like they said, maybe what you get is the deed like in RDR1, but you can't use it in the spot for the horse to reappear and you have to physically go to a "horse vendor" or whatever to claim the horse.
