I was getting withdrawal real bad - shakes, cold sweats, crushing disappointment, every time I saw that black "We're working on it" screen.  The Forum is the only thing that keeps me going, in this latest of many Rockstar info droughts.

Quick theory. Sorry if anyone else has already brought this up and you're hearing it again. 

But when I look at this picture, I can see that the two guys on the left  and the other guy on the right seem like they aren't meant to be in focus. They're poorly lit, and the colours of their clothing is quite dull. The character directly across from Arthur seems to be well lit, and intentionally in focus. I believe that is because he's a more significant character and is the real competition at that table. But then Dutch is in the perfect position to see his cards, while also signalling to Arthur without being noticed. They are a gang of outlaws, and I wouldn't put it past Dutch to cheat some poor bastards out of a few dollars. Just found it interesting and pretty cool if that becomes a mechanic or a just a piece of the story somehow.

At this point gameplay has to be next, at least i hope. It could really push the pre orders for those special editions and all that.. just saying. Im just salty those however many people seen it already are the only ones, i think its about that time.

Think about the torture those people have to endure though, they've actually SEEN the game. That's got to suck. To have seen 45 mins of gameplay and then hear  "nope you don't get to play this yourself for another 6-7 months. "

 

Thats got to be much worse than us seeing a small snippet of gameplay 2 months before release. 

 

Side note: it's good to be back! This new layout is slowly growing on me.

Sam Houser was watching 6ix9ine perform. There were only a couple more days for E3 and his f*ck E3 party to start. They had secured the location for the party it was located right across the street from the LA Convention center. He was making sure everything was ready for their big night it was just him, 6ix9ine, and a couple of people moving tables and equipment around. He was nodding his head to the music when Dan Houser, Strauss Zelnick, and Phil Spencer come in.

"A word?"

They walk up some stairs and into an office that overlooks the stage where they go to speak in private. Sam sits down in the big chair  with Dan Houser and Strauss Zelnick standing by his side. He opens one of the drawers of the desk taking out a bottle of scotch and pours everyone a glass.

"I know you guys have a deal with Sony but f*ck it. We want in let us show some RDR2 footage on our stage."

"Are you sure this is what you want? I mean we'll do it but are you sure is this is what you want?"

"Yes we'll pay for any of the fines you guys receive from Sony."

"Fine but we want payment immediately and reserve the right to pull out at the last second."

"Done I'll wire the money over by the end of business today."

The men enjoy more alcohol and share some stories. As Dan, Strauss, and Phil leave Sam goes into the bathroom and washes his face. He looks at the mirror and starts speaking to himself.

" I didn't forget about you. Phil is desperate. He needs this E3 to go well for him and Xbox or they're done. Shawn Layden can cry all he wants about it but money talks and R* always goes to the highest bidder. VCS and LCS were PS2 exclusives, EFLC was a timed exclusive. Now Sony has us doing some exclusive crap for Red Dead Redemption 2 online. I don't care for the console wars but I'll use them to my advantage if necessary. The bottom line in this business is make money or go broke. We've seen countless other companies go out of business Acclaim, THQ, Midway. R* is not joining them I plan on making money. Oh and welcome back."

Whilst the redesign is clean, it lacks some personality and is bit too clinical and formal for my tastes. Good to be back none the less.

The design looks like everything else on the internet with the recent trend of rounded corners, circle avatars, etc. but im just glad the forum is back online. and just in time for RDR2 news! and new features are probably worth it. Why cant they work on an update for the forums without shutting them down though? Couldn't they work on an offline version and then update it over a short period of time? idk. I'm no expert. I just remember Newgrounds would go offline for like 6 hours and be back when they did maintenance and updates. 

Anyways hello everyone. Glad the forum is back up. I cant stand Discord. Hope there's a RDR edition PS4. lol

You've to love yourself a new forum, it's one of the blessings. 

Honestly I like the old design better, but maybe I need to get used to this one with time. It's too modern of a style, which I'm not a fan of. Classic and simple all the way! On the other hand, I already love me Redemption II!
