E3 in three weeks, lets see what red dead 2 is up against, the only competitor in my opinion is cyberpunk 2099, this 2 games coming from great studios with reputation, skill and experience...

I dont think cyberpunk is releasing this year

I'm curious to hear all of your opinions on this:

How would you all feel if Marston gets Morgan in the end? Would it make you see John in a different light?

Think about it for a second people. Rockstar has some real mindf*ck material to work with.

And I'm sure with them paying so much attention to character development and interactions, they won't hold back.

Nah, if John ends up killing Arthur it's not gonna shock me that much personally because John never mentioned Arthur at all in the first Red Dead. So if they end up doing it that way it won't make sense and it will waste the potential for great storytelling and character development.

I actually think Arthur will betray John. We all know from the last game that John was left for dead when a robbery went wrong and the gang left John. I think Dutch and the gang will kind of "force" Arthur to leave John and Arthur begrudgingly does so, feeling torn and heartbroken in the process; we will see this as the player controlling Arthur.

I also remember what Bill Williamson said to John when John was going to kill him in Mexico in RDR1: "You always was weak-minded. Dutch wanted you dead, we all did!"

Personally, i hate Bill because of this. He won't be joining Arthur on any robberies and heists i can tell you that much, f-ing scumbag LOL

I don't think John is the type who betrays, I would be genuinely surprised if something like that happens.

However if something like that were to happen, I personally would get furious at John because Arthur seems like a straight up guy (atleast to his gang).

Rockstar's artwork kinda gets me pumped up. They are simple yet contain elegance and beauty.

LA Noire and Red Dead has some of my faves they have done so far:

I agree with you, but i was a little disappointed with what i believe will be the final artwork for RDR2. They kind of just copy-pasted the same artwork from the first game and added the gang in there.

meij7RY.jpgABup3B0.jpg

Both are holding a weapon aiming slightly downward at someone/something, both have that bullet belt across the chest. Maybe they are going for a GTA thing? Kind of like how every GTA cover after GTA3 looks like a comic with pictures in square boxes?

Little lazy but whatever, the game will be amazing and i cant wait until E3 where they hopefully will reveal gameplay. The game sounds amazing R* but show us gameplay.

I personally love the intentional nostalgia there. But I get what you mean.

And I'd be very surprised if we get gameplay at E3.

Lazy? I actually quite like it. That way if you have a collection of more than one GTA game there's more similarity to the look of the covers, so it feels more like a set. I recently picked up a box copy of RDR for ps3 on a yard sale for 5 bucks, so i'm actually glad RDR2's cover is similar. It will look so cool having the similar covers next to each other on my wall.

You guys are just fanboying. Not everyone loves RDR as much as we do. If you want RDR related news, follow someone who loves the game enough to care lol. Not all video game journalists care that much about RDR even though some regard it as the best game of all time. Remember that notion is not an objective fact. All art is subjective and people are allowed to have their opinions.

I personally dont think RDR is the best game of all time although I would put it in my top 3 for sure. Thats all a matter of opinion really. So dont expect everyone to have the same tastes and opinions as you because thats an unrealistic expectation. The world doesnt work like that.

Also remember that IGN is comprised of many journalists with varying opinions. Some are bad for sure. But there are many individuals who not only have personalities that people enjoy, but they know a lot about great games. The gaming industry is huge and even as huge as R* is, theyre only a small portion of the industry.

If they don't know anything about the game they shouldn't attempt to talk about it and make themselves look stupid in the process. They're getting paid to do what they do. How hard is it to at least do a little research before making a video about it and looking like a bunch of clowns? Jesus Christ it's not fanboying, it's called having sense

Well I decided to fact check: http://m.ca.ign.com/articles/2017/09/28/red-dead-redemption-2-theories-and-details-you-may-have-missed-in-trailer-2

They did not compare Dutch to Tom Selleck, they knew he was the antagonist from the previous game, and they know that he committed suicide. So first of all, you guys are making false claims, and second of all: they got their jobs for a reason. If you dislike their coverage, then take their place or watch someone you enjoy.

You're wrong.

and they did lol

Even time stamped it for ya @27:05

Not false claims and if they're breaking down the trailer I usually expect basic knowledge of the previous game lol

This isn't exactly a trailer breakdown, but rather their first reactions to the trailer as it was released. To be fair, no one expected Dutch to be in it, and this was their first time seeing the trailer. But you're right that they didn't really know what they were seeing at first and they could have gotten some others who are more familiar with the game to host the reveal. I don't care for Marty Silva anyway. In IGN's actual breakdown video, they did their homework and actually got their info straight.

Either way, I'm subscribed to your YouTube, Legacy, and I watch your RDR2 videos when they drop because I trust your info on this specific game more than I do most outlets.

New leaked information?

The YouTuber iRue399 claims R* showed off a new demo today, and someone affiliated with his channel was there and told him about things he can talk about, since he is under NDA:

The biggest takeaways...

1. Heists are non-linear (there is not a checklist to do or certain mission objectives in a ceratin order like GTAV)

2. You plan the heist yourself and the NPCs in your gang can be excited about it or have their doubts (R* wants to make them feel like real people)

3. If someone dies or you miss to get on the train, the mission does not necessarily fail, you just find another way (if something goes wrong, you need to do it differently, but it gets harder -> non-linear, no "failure" screen like in previous R* titles)

4. If you f*ck up the heist, people lose respect for you

5. To do the heist again if you really failed it, you need to prepare it again and may do it with different people in a different way

6. Like the other previews mentioned, R* wants to blur the lines between missions and sandbox gameplay, while still maintaing the level of quality they are known for

Again, this is not confirmed, take it with a grain of salt.

I believe so too. I have known iRue for a while now and he wouldn't just make things up. I also think it's unlikely for his source (a person he clearly knows) to lie to him. We'll see in a couple of days if this is true or not.

My only doubt is that there is a 49% chance his source may very well lied to him though...

Because you clearly don't have inside information.

And how do you know this is a PR R* friend? They wouldn't send this information to a channel like iRue399...

By the way how is this not a leak? If it is true information, but not official, then it is a leak. (Obviously we don't know yet if this is true.)

"The leaving him for dead" thing was way later in 1906. In that sense the failed robbery is closer to rdr1 than rdr2.

If it is real (probably isn't), then it is interesting that new previews are being shown. If it is real, we may be seeing new game play footage soon. It sounds like R* is being very ambitious with RDR2, with a lot of new systems and mechanics that haven't been seen in their games, or really any other game. I hope this means that they want to step away from their normal marketing strategies and actually share more game play than we're used to seeing from them. I want to see how things play out.

Any thoughts, or wants, as far as how snowfall will work? I’m hoping it works just like rain does in the warmer regions. Comes and goes. I think it would feel more natural as opposed to areas that are constantly snowing. I believe parts of Cochinay always had slight snowfall whenever you were there in RDR. Would love to see real snow storms but I think that may be a stretch.

I can definitely see this happening. They did it for GTA so they can do it here, but better.

I can imagine R* at E3 now.

Dan Houser comes up on stage and says 'We have big news for you guys'. Suddenly, the room goes dark. The dark screen displays a large red number 2 and the room goes silent. We hear a guitar playing music quietly and see a dusty desert on screen. Suddenly, the music gets louder we are shown large revolvers on the screen. And then we see it, the thing we were thinking about for a few months now:

GTA Online: Gunrunning 2

The audience growns.

And the Rockstar showing ends with Dan Houser showing his middle finger to everyone and yelling "f*ck You".....right after that the pre orders for Red Dead 2 go through the roof

Will Arthur betray his own gang?

The fact Edgar Ross says "You are a wanted man Mr.Morgan" makes me believe Morgan is the gang's spy
