Nah not at all. Well regardless of how many of you dislike them l, theres a far larger number of people who feel the opposite and it heavily outweighs that opinion.

Wasn't a "feeling" that they asked him questions and then talked over him when he tried to answer. That actually happened. It's lousy journalism. Doesn't have anything to do with emotions, on a practical level you're supposed to LET THE GUY ANSWER THE f*ckING QUESTIONS.

He was gonna talk about how they encountered some guy in the forest, but then the other idiots just railroaded over him and he didn't finish

and like how the other two guys were talking like they'd seen the game too, and they're talking about what they're gonna do when they first play, and that's all well and good if you're sitting around bullsh*tting with your friends, but they're provided almost exclusive coverage of this incredibly highly anticipated game and they just f*cking squander it. I didn't tune in to hear that Timmy Dipsh*t wants to dress his Arthur up like a hobo. I was hoping to find out some actual information.

Ign is a f*cking hipster paradise nowadays. Smh what happened to my generation?

You're getting close to "stay off my lawn" level of grumpiness man lol

shoot someone's dog and then be like "howdy partner!"

This is basically what 90% playthroughs of RDR 2 will be like

So I've been going through RDR again in anticipation for RDR II, and I've been listening to the alternate dialogue in missions. While playing the mission A Continual Feast I stumbled across some interesting information about Uncle and his relationship to Dutch's gang. Here's a transcript of both conversations-

Uncle: So, now that Abigail and the boy ain't around, you can tell me what really happened.

John: What happened when?

Uncle: With Bill and Dutch.

John: They're dead. That's all I know.

Uncle: Kind of a shame, you know. I always liked those fellas.

John: You barely knew 'em!

Uncle: Did too! They liked havin' me around. It was you who had the beef with them, not me.

John: They liked watchin' you fall over, and that's as far as it went. And you was only around when the whisky was open and they wanted women.

Uncle: You got a short memory, John.

John: This is from the man who can't remember wakin' up this mornin'.

Uncle: Well, at least we knew how to have fun back then.

So this tells us a few things. One, that Uncle was affiliated with Dutch's gang, and that his appearance in RDR II with the gang is not a retcon. Two, that Uncle may have been a pimp of some kind?? Like John says above, Bill and Dutch only wanted Uncle around to laugh at him and when "they wanted women". That implies to me that Uncle might have managed prostitutes or something? Very interesting, considering we see several prostitutes with the gang in RDR II. Here's the second conversation-

Uncle: Don't take it out on me. You've been full of piss and vinegar ever since you got back.

John: My wife and child were kidnapped. I was made to kill God knows how many people for a government I can't stand. All while you ran my ranch into the ground. Sorry if I ain't showerin' you with kindness.

Uncle: What, you think you're the stud-duck in the pond now Dutch's dead, do you?

John: Shut your mouth, old man, or I'll shut it for you.

Uncle: Don't act like no hard case. It don't suit you. I don't owe you any favors.

John: Pull your weight, that's all I'm saying.

Uncle: I could've stayed with them, you know.

John: Me and Abigail was the only ones who looked out for you. Nobody else gave a damn. You'd have been dead within a month.

This conversation is also really interesting. One, this implies that Uncle left the gang at the same time John did. Two, this kind of explains why the Marstons even care about Uncle, as they were the only ones who cared enough within the gang to look after him. What do you guys think about all this?

Lol! And I thought your absence was because you got your phone stolen. Good luck tomorrow! You'll do great.i never double post but I won't be here today gonna be leaving in the AM at some point. haha it's true man 😅 I was gonna take a break anyways but with the phone being gone it especially worked that way. I'm on a tablet to get on here (it's not mine) I lost so much of my first album that I was working on and I'm SO pissed about it. A lot of my songs are on the cloud storage but then I ran outta space and it never saved my album that was gonna go on Spotify and everything my first official release 😫 I'm already creating more though of course but it just sucks it had to happen this way. I hope whoever stole my phone knows how to rap if they can access my notepad. There's some good sh*t in there ugh.

Also thanks Josh homie!! I saw your post too saying I will knock it outta the park thank you!! And also Josh you're f*ckin right dude!! Gameplay trailer will happen VERY soon I bet too!! Can't wait time is flying by 😍

Nice find. I Wonder how the relationship between Arthur and John is gonna play out. Very interested in that. I expect some good explanation from R* regarding the absence of Arthur in John's memories.

Nick Testbranch you work for R* give us more info.

As requested:

- Explosive Rifle makes an immediate return. As part of gang initiation, each member must have the explosive round fly above their head within a reasonable two inches, Dutch's Dick Size. The opening scene, Arthur is questioning his life decisions. Freeze frame: So you're probably wondering how I got here. Title screen appears, and it begins with Arthur in class with a young Albert Einstein.

- Blackwater comes back, and its name origin comes out when Edgar admits he drowned darkies with his grandpappy J. Hoover Edgar as a kid

- the train robbery in the trailer is part of an elaborate methalene heist, where Dutch is running out of supply for a lucrative business. This is the notable mission where Arthur duels an unarmed kid on a donkey. Be ready for Arthur's reasoning of why he wants out of the gang

- the last scene was supposed to be really elaborate and show off the game's best capabilities in unique npc rendering, however this is being saved for an online mission instead and the mission were supposed to see ends with the FBI arresting Dutch's gang rather abruptly.

That's all I have for now, time to enjoy a vigorous whipping session in the former Benz suite

Oh man you got me mixed up Im not defending those guys on there at all. Like I said, some journalists with IGN are sh*t for sure. I also disliked those 2 dudes on that podcast but the thing about a podcast is that its not exactly supposed to be coverage. Most podcasts are just personalities who are doing exactly what you said. Getting friends together to bullsh*t about video games. Theyve had some great coverage on the actual articles and videos. But youre right that those 2 guys sucked. Ive never noticed them on IGN before. I think they got the ameratures in because decent journalists are at Judges Week testing games n sh*t. Regardless I like the work of a good 3 or 4 journalists/personalities wth IGN.

At least rockstar isn't inviting pseudo-journalists like DoctorGTA and mrbossftw. They'd still get all the sights they see wrong and confirm yes on features rockstar says no about. It is too bad the amateurs ruined a good discussion of the RDR2 demo. I listen for the game, not your gibberish banter that implies you get CEO's nephew salary.

I'm looking forward to it. As much as rockstar stinted the potential of GTA V, RDR is in a lot of ways its own thing. I just hope rockstar doesn't destroy the game with a freemium model.

Otherwise, the worst that could happen is I lose money on a disappointing game, so I move on with life as usual.

Well said man, that's exactly what it was like. A group of friends sat around talking sh*t. Shame cos they could've made this so much better by losing 2 of them.

I can't believe how much they interrupted him, we're meant to be hearing about the game not what some dipsh*t is going to do when he gets it

BUT THE BENZ

yeah well, the thing is, you COULD play without buying cash, I definitely could do without in GTAO. I didn't need a bunker/yaacht etc...

with RDO it could be different because of what they can offer. I certainly don't hope they have us spend money on customizing the little things we have (guns, clothes, house). they ought to throw some other sh*t in there that they can squeeze money out of, for those who want it ALL, just to have it all.

let those buy LAND and build a farm or whatever. I don't care if you charge them 20 bucks for some extra nice looking oak fence that surrounds the whole perimeter. I will NOT need/want that, I think. but don't overcharge me just because I want some awesome looking buffalo-coat and some ink on my revolvers or whatever.

please!?

John didn't need to mention Arthur,he wasn't one of his targets,he always talks about Javier,Bill and Dutch because they were his targets. And Arthur probably was one of John's friends in the gang for two reasons.

1.One of the previews said Arthur was the level headed member of the gang, stopping fights and keeping morale high. That means he probably tried to be friends with everyone including John

2.I bet Arthur's quote from the first trailer was said to John

A quick reminder. Red Dead Redemption celebrates its 8th year anniversary today.

Also 8 years since John died.. So...Umm mixed feelings :(

You should also note that When Approaching a Prostitute in RDR, Jack Shouts, 'Uncle Warned Me About Girls/Women Like You!' It also says on the wiki that Uncle Stated to Jack that They are too Old For Him.

He was a known thief, murderer and degenerate. He will not be missed.

He was a better man than you will ever be.
