You guys are just fanboying. Not everyone loves RDR as much as we do. If you want RDR related news, follow someone who loves the game enough to care lol. Not all video game journalists care that much about RDR even though some regard it as the best game of all time. Remember that notion is not an objective fact. All art is subjective and people are allowed to have their opinions.

I personally dont think RDR is the best game of all time although I would put it in my top 3 for sure. Thats all a matter of opinion really. So dont expect everyone to have the same tastes and opinions as you because thats an unrealistic expectation. The world doesnt work like that.

Also remember that IGN is comprised of many journalists with varying opinions. Some are bad for sure. But there are many individuals who not only have personalities that people enjoy, but they know a lot about great games. The gaming industry is huge and even as huge as R* is, theyre only a small portion of the industry.

If they don't know anything about the game they shouldn't attempt to talk about it and make themselves look stupid in the process. They're getting paid to do what they do. How hard is it to at least do a little research before making a video about it and looking like a bunch of clowns? Jesus Christ it's not fanboying, it's called having sense
Well I decided to fact check: http://m.ca.ign.com/articles/2017/09/28/red-dead-redemption-2-theories-and-details-you-may-have-missed-in-trailer-2

They did not compare Dutch to Tom Selleck, they knew he was the antagonist from the previous game, and they know that he committed suicide. So first of all, you guys are making false claims, and second of all: they got their jobs for a reason. If you dislike their coverage, then take their place or watch someone you enjoy.

Go watch those group videos they've done recently and you'll realise they don't have a clue what they're talking aboutCool man then dont watch them. Theyre not your personalized Red Dead Redemption journalists lol.

Don't believe i said they were? Just expect them to do a half decent job, but they're obviously incapable

Hang on, where's this video where they don't know who Dutch is?

I can't find it anywhere.

Did they remove it from shame?

It doesnt exist. I just fact checked them and proved theyre making false claims to complain about people for no reason.

I don't know about you guys but the one thing I'm gonna do a lot as soon as I start playing the game is interact with NPCs. I'm gonna walk into a saloon and be a nasty SOAB to anyone and hopefully start a big fight there. The thought of being able to be an ass towards anyone is just funny as sh*t to me.

I thought that was awesome. Also one of the guys suggested that maybe if the bodies of people you've killed rot, then he wants to take a dead bandit to the hunting grounds and let him decay and attract predators as bait for hunting. lol. that sounds f*cking crazy but I want to do that. That sounds hilarious.

That's basically a example of systemic gameplay,Rockstar wants the players to use their world in creative ways

If they were incapable, then why do they have such a large following and respect from many game developers, and other journalists? Why would Rockstar invite people directly from their outlet? Also they dont get paid to cover RDR specifically, they get paid to cover video games. Period. They have a decent enough info about RDR in the videos Ive watched and they know a lot about a ton of other games too. Thats their job. Not to be an expert in YOUR favorite game to appease YOU.

Again, they have their jobs for a reason.

They have no idea what they're talking about. Absolutely dreadful.

Cheers for trying to find the video but they seem to know who Dutch is. The comments way above me talk about how IGN didn't know who Dutch was and said he was just a person resembling Tom Selleck.

Well again, dont watch them lol. They only get relevance if they have a following. Complain all you want but theyre going to continue covering games and gaining access to exclusive info because the rest of the industry disagrees with you.

I just want to update us on Take-Two's employees headcount by label:

* Rockstar Games; 1,600

* 2K (2K Games, 2K Sports): 1,800

* Private Division: 100

* Social Point: 500

Take-Two HQ in New York, corporate offices in Europe, Mid-East, Asia, Australia, Africa: 492

Total headcount 2018: 4492

In 2017: 3707

That a crazy growth and I hope it continues. Still the only of the Biggies that care about gamers.

(Don't torture me if I am being off topic again. I am sorry).

Nah not at all. Well regardless of how many of you dislike them l, theres a far larger number of people who feel the opposite and it heavily outweighs that opinion.

Then why do you care what the IGN people think? Thats what Im getting at here. Im just saying theres no point in complaining about what these journalists think if they dont share the same opinions as you. Watch someone else because complaining wont fix it.

I don't care about what they think. I'm not asking for their opinion on the game, I want them to talk about it in an informative and professional way, but that's too much to ask for these days.

I can complain about them all I want sausage

A build of the game leaked on Xbox One as a download a few months before release!

I did manage to play the game for an hour or so, but I must admit I was in a dreamland for most of the day while downloading it and playing it, so my account is sketchy at best, but here goes:

The game was 56G in size for the regular Xbox One version; It was not the final build but close to final I assumed. On the title screen, which showed the Grizzlies in the background, there were 4 options to the side, in red lettering: "Story" "Multiplayer" "Camp Exploration" and "Options." I clicked on the "Camp Exploration" option in fear the game would be blocked pretty soon, so there was no reason to start Story mode. After a small loading screen that showed various amazeballing artwork, the game seemed to load a version of the gang camp without the story, as a kind of tutorial explaining how the camp works, as it is quite dynamic and intricate.

At first I stood there moving the camera around in absolute awe of the breathtaking landscape that greeted me! The mountain range in the distance was vast and so rich with detail it made Mount Chilad look like a child's drawing in Paint. Some of the trees in the distance had trunks the width of a large car! A songbird was singing and I looked over at a riverbend where I'm sure I saw a large bird swoop down and grab a fish. It was amazing! I collected myself and started to walk around as Arthur, talking to many members of the gang, unlocking side quests and odd jobs as I went along; I drank coffee and at one point I knelt down to stroke a dog, who was resting by a fire where Manny was sat singing "Spanish is the Loving Tongue," which I found rather odd as that song dates back to 1907...

I talked to Pearce next and he seemed upset that the only food I last brought to the camp was horse meat. Arthur replied back with something like: "Be thankful it wasn't your horse..."
Next I walked by Bill Williamson talking to Sadie, and he seemed to be bragging about a homestead he had just robbed; Sadie seemed uninterested and she turned and looked at me as I walked by and kind of rolled her eyes.

I noticed Dutch stood by the nicest and biggest tent in the camp, brooding and deep in thought. I never got to interact with him.

I had many conversations, and I kept unlocking side quests/jobs. They were put onto a list that I could check at any time by pressing Select which brought up a inventory system. The whole tutorial was basically explaining that you can do all these odd jobs and get into conversations with every member of the gang, and doing so unlocks perks and activities, like Poker, Chess and Arm Wrestling.

I was loving every minute of this and was just about to ask John if I could teach him how to play Chess... and that's when I woke up from this wonderful dream. :lol:

Sorry.

That was my honest to god first video game dream in years and years. And I'm not even the kind of guy who refreshes this thread every ten seconds! I ain't a Freudian, but you could say this dream symbolizes my absurd hype for this game lol

Thought I'd share this with you guys, and, again, sorry.

"So we're bringing 6ix9ine to perform."

"Alright and the cage dancers will be all over the place."

Rockstar was planning their annual f*ck E3 party. They were planning to rent a place right across the street from the LA Convention center where E3 is held every year and throw a party. No gameplay would be shown and no announcements would be made.

"We have a problem though. Sony might decide to announce the special editions of RDR2 and might speak about Red Dead online on their stage. We still have that deal with them remember."

"f*ckin Sony. Everytime we make a deal with them they start to act all entitled in front of us. We're just lucky they forgot about Agent. Let me make a call."

Sam calls up Shawn Layden who was in his office. He was gearing up for Detroit become human to release soon after the success of God of war and was getting ready to plan Sony's E3 press conference.

"Listen you little piece of sh*t. Don't you dare announce anything Red Dead Redemption 2 related during your E3 press conference."

"But you guys promised info in June. I thought E3 would be the perfect place to announce it."

"I don't think you can read we said next month we didn't say when next month and we definitely didn't say E3. Our calendar is marked for June 30th at 11:59 PM."

"So what do you want us to do? Aside from deep dives into our exclusives our show is pretty different this year. Our third party announcements are pretty small and we were hoping that you would steal the show."

"Well that's your problem. If you want some fun at E3 swing by our party. Maybe you can get laid."

"f*ck you."

Shawn Layden hangs up and smashes his statue of Kratos that proudly stood in his office. Krato's head came off and he smashes it some more. All of the pieces fall off and it reveals that it was built on top of a statue of CJ from San Andreas. Which makes Shawn Layden cry.
