I'll leave Arthur with a majestic beard.

I'm also going to spend a lot of time hunting Animals and People, of course.

Been a while! How is everyone? :)

A quick reminder. Red Dead Redemption celebrates its 8th year anniversary today.

Also 8 years since John died.. So...Umm mixed feelings :(

I know this has already been talked about, but I started replaying Red Dead Redemption last night and man... 8 years later it's still an awesome game. Obviously on a PS3 there's some technological issues, lack of textures and a lot of copy and pasting of trees, but as a whole it's still great.

I love removing the mini map and wandering around Tall Trees hunting bears and bobcats.

Can't wait to do this in RDR 2!

God, I hate IGN. The three people who didn't see the game are irritating as all f*ck

So frustrating...it's the most anticipated game of 2018...let the man speak and save the sh*tty jokes for after he gives the details.

Yeah for sure. You could tell that Alana was trying to keep it on track and revert the conversation back to the game. Ive never seen the other 2 guys on IGN before. Some of the IGN people are alright, but those two are sh*t.

Also E3 is just around the corner! Im getting really pumped to see some new games and really hoping to hear details about RDR2. I know it isnt likely, but theres still a lot to look forward to this year.

Just eight years ago RDR was released. It will be something different to play again after finishing RDR2.

Coincidently today, eight years after it originally released, I finally obtained the plat for the game. I only started about a month ago on ps now, as I originally played on my 360, which died years ago. I decided to give ps now a try and despite what everyone says I had a very smooth time with it (bear in mind I do have decent internet). I cant say I recommend trying it if you havent it already though, the multiplayer trophies were just plain painful due to the modders being on pretty well every server.

I thought IGN is short for IGNorant?

But, yours is awesome too

Edit: I remember when they "brokedown" trailer #2, they didn't know who Dutch was and they called him

Tom Selleck looking character. Long story short, CRINGE!

Nope nothing newThat's ok, we've had a lot of info already. And to think we could have all been sitting here with sad faces now because of another delay, but nope, not at all. I'm still so happy it actually is coming October.

Watching that IGN thing now and while I've seen interruptions much worse than this, it is indeed annoying. You ask the man a question, let him f*cking answer.

If y'all think that ign video posted above is bad.

My god you ain't seen nothing.

Check out this ign "beyond" video

It's sooo f*cking bad. It's just terrible. I could only stomach about 12mins of it and that was a struggle.

I'm all for people voicing opinions but the entire video was just bad journalism.

How can you make a video promoting a video game but then bring on two people who hate the first game to talk about why this one is so good?

It's just IGNorant.

Ign is a f*cking hipster paradise nowadays. Smh what happened to my generation?

I remember that and it was awful. Still don't understand why they were breaking down the second trailer when they clearly know NOTHING about RDR.

I will say some of the guys at IGN do know their sh*t like Jon Ryan. But yeah for the most part the rest of the IGN team doesn't know anything about RDR other than the fact its made by Rockstar and is a western....

Watching Max Pain gameplay to get a sense of what the gunplay will be like in RDR 2, so pumped for a realistic experience.

One thing I hope they have option to customize buttons. Such as for switching guns, since we will be able to carry 2 only, I think if they allowed a mechanism as in The Divison, where you can double tap triangle to switch primary and secondary. R has their weapon wheel so I don think it will be default, but I would like the option. Would be quicker in switching weapons.

To be fair, IGN hosts are responsible for playing and reviewing tons of games. I dont expect every IGN journalist to know everything about RDR just because we know so much. Especially since its 8 years old and theyve all played literally hundreds of games since. Maybe if RDR was fresh in their memory theyd be more accurate. You could still love a game and not know every small detail. Theyre not supposed to be experts in every game, but be able to give the public a general idea about the game. We just hold them to a high standard as RDR fanboys tbh.

And honestly, most of them can probably school us when it comes to the video game industry. Most of us here may know more about Rockstar games, but the good IGN hosts are quite well rounded when it comes to the rest of the industry.. Max Scoville, Damon Hatfield, Brian Altano (probably butchering names). All of those guys are quite intelligent when it comes to the general games industry. They got their jobs for a reason.

I agree with most of this, but rdr1 is one of the best games of all time. A masterpiece and timeless clasic. They should know who Dutch (the main antagonist of rdr1) is.

That still doesn't excuse comparing Dutch to Tom Selleck and not knowing who he was.

This was in September 2017 for Trailer #2, they had just about a year to replay RDR and then be able to properly discuss the next installment, they didn't.

Every time I watch one of those "everything you need to know" videos it's everything I already know.

But now this? Don't know who Dutch is? Tom Selleck?

They get paid for this crap?

You guys are just fanboying. Not everyone loves RDR as much as we do. If you want RDR related news, follow someone who loves the game enough to care lol. Not all video game journalists care that much about RDR even though some regard it as the best game of all time. Remember that notion is not an objective fact. All art is subjective and people are allowed to have their opinions.

I personally dont think RDR is the best game of all time although I would put it in my top 3 for sure. Thats all a matter of opinion really. So dont expect everyone to have the same tastes and opinions as you because thats an unrealistic expectation. The world doesnt work like that.

Also remember that IGN is comprised of many journalists with varying opinions. Some are bad for sure. But there are many individuals who not only have personalities that people enjoy, but they know a lot about great games. The gaming industry is huge and even as huge as R* is, theyre only a small portion of the industry.

I just hope we have the ability to stand around or walk with our weapon of choice (shotgun or rifle) resting on our shoulder or have cool idle actions like inspecting our weapon we can do with our weapons while we have them out the holster. Maybe a little gun spinning mini game or something.

If they don't know anything about the game they shouldn't attempt to talk about it and make themselves look stupid in the process. They're getting paid to do what they do. How hard is it to at least do a little research before making a video about it and looking like a bunch of clowns? Jesus Christ it's not fanboying, it's called having sense

Well I decided to fact check: http://m.ca.ign.com/articles/2017/09/28/red-dead-redemption-2-theories-and-details-you-may-have-missed-in-trailer-2

They did not compare Dutch to Tom Selleck, they knew he was the antagonist from the previous game, and they know that he committed suicide. So first of all, you guys are making false claims, and second of all: they got their jobs for a reason. If you dislike their coverage, then take their place or watch someone you enjoy.
