Just noticed a cool thing in the pic with John and Sadie both shooting up the town, there's a crate that says Blackwing Tomatoes behind them..

 

"Those Blackwing Tomatoes gave my boss the runs" from RDR1

 

Maybe we can force feed them to our enemies

Hey guys, something I was thinking, do you think golfing might be a side activity in this game? Apparently the first 9-hole golf course in the US was in West Virginia around 1884, and then a bit later in Chicago they opened the first 18-hole golf course.

 

The timing of the game restrains some side stuff, and Rockstar is familiar with golf after GTAV, maybe it would make some sense.

You really think so? The general outlook from people was that the Mexico part was the worst from the 3 chapters in the game. I always thought the New Elizabeth chapter blew everything else out of the water with the Edgar Ross and Harold MacDougal missions.

ok but far cry 5 doesn't have dynamic weather. The sky is always clear blue

Far cry 5 does nothing impressive whatsoever. The world looks ok that is all the game has to offer. AI? Dumb af. Story? Comedy. Most Open worlds don't do anything new or creative anymore. Remember when you would watch a game years ago and go "Oh you can do that?" That rarely exist now. A OPEN world will get praise just off the size of the world alone. I don't even bother wasting money on any open world besides R*. It's like having the baddest bitch then f*cking some handicap whore you met on Craigslist. Days gone looks ambitious but dull AF tbh. When i watch a games gameplay I expect to see something that makes me say "oh sh*t" if any game can't do that for me I want nothing to do with it. Open world fatigue is real people, Every time you turn around its a new open world game that will be forgotten in 2 weeks. Days gone unfortunately might be next on that list.

The New Austin area is enjoyable. Mexico was fun, but West Elizabeth felt rushed. Probably because its end game.

Nah. There could be a roller rink though. As a reference to Heaven's Gate.

I have no doubt that the 2 delays were due to Rockstar gutting content from Single Player and making it all Online exclusive.

 

The Single Player story mode will probably be no more than a mere 30 minute tutorial to get you in practice for the Online which is the only thing Rockstar will ever care about, remember what they did with GTA 5!

 

Rockstar makes amazing game trailers that create quite a convincing illusion, but once you actually buy the game you will see that all advertised content will be Online Multiplayer only just like with GTA 5 and buying safehouses!

GTAV doesn't have a 97 metacriric score if it was just a 30 min tutorial for online. It has a quality sp experience we've come to know from R*. And after we've heard everything about the game how you can think R* will skimp on the sp of RDR2 is beyond me. They're not going to spend 8 years on a game just for it to end up as a bare bones experience that teaches people how to play online. That is a massive waste of money and resources.

Remember though that Rockstar outright lied about GTA 5 getting Story mode DLC! They promised it in 2014 and instead gave EVERYTHING to the Online mode.

How do you want to make RDR2 Online as profitable as GTA Online? Half of the friends that I know don't even want to buy the game since they are only GTA fans. It was even said that they will keep updating Online after RDR2. It's also kind of strange how they don't try to market the onlne mode so maybe more people buy the game or make players more interested in multiplayer rather than their singleplayer.

A leopard never changes its spots. You do realise how that same sentence can be used to show that R* still cares about their games? I won't be able to convince you otherwise anyways. We'll see when the game releases.

It was not "advertised", there were no previews, trailer, screenshots just small verbal mentions. To call that a promise and hold them accountable as if they tricked people into buying the base game on the promise of sp dlc is ridiculous. I am dissapointed we didn't get to see Trevor in a zombie apocalypse or an alien invasion but I am not going to act as if they scammed us out of dlc and say "they promised".

Instead we were able to buy and run business. Are you seriously going to fixate on this that much? It was one small feature from a game that had many. Its not like they removed flying planes and made that online exclusive. What is buying a safehouse really going to do gameplay wise? get you an extra save point? Your acting as if they removed a major gameplay feature. There is no doubt in my mind that some of the stuff we heard now is going to be removed or altered. sh*t happens during development even with only 5 mothns left. Remember last of us's ai? That got changed even after showing a gameplay demo of it. I doubt they are going to change a major feature R* have been developing for RDR2 but the point is its not a big deal if they remove small stuff like buying houses or if they remove the persistent hat. Your acting as if they pulled the rug from under us, when really you're just making a big deal out of nothing.

I can't stand online multiplayer! Rockstar's over-focus on this Online multiplayer garbage is the reason I left them for Bethesda and Fallout and Skyrim because Bethesda is one of the few remaining game companies that cares about Single Player!

 

Online always leeches and steals resources and development time and content that could be put into the main Single Player story mode!!

 

Online players you have you're Call of Duty and Battlefield, leave our historic Single Player franchises ALONE!!!!

Hey guess what R* don't give af how YOU feel. Just because you dislike online multiplayer means...what? Who cares? Tons of people including myself are more excited for online than the story and i say that shamelessly. Not because the Single player dlc was cancelled, not because how GTAV single player was handled because I ENJOY playing online with my friends, i like customizing characters, being competitive etc. Who are you to say what belongs and what doesn't. That why there are 2 modes juat for people like you. YOU enjoy single player, don't try to bash others for what they enjoy playing.

That means that Single Player content will suffer as more and more resources are pumped into Online and then you can forget about any SP story DLC.

lol making it as good as they can?? With all the money they have made with GTA Online you would like to think they could at least add dedicated servers or idk hire more employees to support both modes so we would get SP DLC and GTA Online updates but nooo Rockstar just saw $$$ and decided to lie to their fans and not release any SP DLC which they had been waiting for SP DLC for almost 5 years
