Anyone else feel like the wait for the game won't be very long now? It doesn't seem far away at all now for me.

I feel the same, I have a lot going on this summer personally, so summer should fly by time wise for me. Things should be returning to normal around September/October just in time for the launch. I’m not even going to notice these next few months.

Guys what if John had a case of amnesia and remembered an altered version of what really happened and how he was never even shot or left behind...hmmmm...

RDR1 was all just a dream, and Zombie Undead Nightmare was the reality?

 

I'm thinking that makes more sense, and accounts for Authur not being referenced in RDR1.

 

Standard dream or amnesia retconning. Comic books and blockbuster movies get away with this, all the time.

 

So RDR2 should be called "Red Dead Reboot," or "Red Dead Retcon."

I hear allot of talk about LegacyKillaHD being this and him being that.. The only difference between him and other smaller channels is the fact

that he has 200k subscribers, if he didn't have that amount of following everyone's opinions would be totally different. Not entirely, but allot more than what they are at the moment. I personally like exploring smaller channels with potential for the future.

In my opinions LegacyKillaHD doesnt actually know allot about the Red Dead Series, he actually was pretty much brain dead in his live review of the 3rd trailer, he also clearly has to write down his opinions and read off a script and has minimal input of his own.

 

Other channels out there put allot more ideas in, emphasis on different outlooks and I feel like LegacyKilla is over rated for what he is worth, after all he just reads news about games... I dont forsee him being reliable without this website at all!

Well Legacy was one of those smaller channels with "potential" but like most with no original content going for hits=$$, it just became another clickbait channel going for low hanging fruit that wouldn't exist without these forums and reddit.

 

I followed and subscribed to his channel back in the day when he actually had some good worthwhile videos like breaking down the leaked map and pointing out more of the Indian and French war connections on it etc. Then when he made the move to go "full time" the quality went down and became more clickbait. I mean I gotta expect 95% of his channel is "HUGE INFO! BIG LEAK!" accompanied by art not even associated or from the games the video is covering and the info basically being "So according to GTAF or reddit...". lol

 

When the videos were of that ilk I dropped the sub. He hilariously at one point tried calling out another youtuber for "stealing" his video thumbnail when it was just one of the new screenshots Rockstar released in Feb, forcing him to do a quick 180 and apologize.

 

Basically none of these people are worth your time and it's no sense giving them a click and in turn putting money in their pocket when you're at the very source where they're getting their info from anyways.

That's true, the RedBandit guy responds to ALL his comments, that at least shows me he cares about his viewer engagement, he also apologizes and gives credit to people here on the forums if anything was found by them or was wrong in the video. Hes growing about 200 followers a day and If he keeps up his engagement with his audience I can see him being a genuine guy who cares about the game. never the less we can always simply go to Rockstar for the news anyway! I just thought it was important to note i see channels with 2k subs and less not even bothering about their viewers, this guy seems to literally respond to all 100 or more comments, talks with them and that sounds like dedication!

One last post, I know it doesnt sound spot on to his regular voice. But I feel like hes at a serious part within the story where he is straining his voice a bit to deliver the speech with impact. Perhaps hes in pain at the time of the speech. Perhaps it isnt him at all. We will see in due time my friends! Either way, its wonderful voice acting. Really excited to see this story play out. Prequels usually suck, but the characters of RDR had a lot of mystery linked to their pasts. Im just so curious to learn things like how John really got his scars, how the gang fell apart, how Dutch loses his mind, and what leads them to leave John for dead. Although I hope this is just a portion of the story and the game still proposes other mysteries to intrigue us with the new characters.

John said in rdr1 he got his cars during a bear hunt gone wrong if I remember correctly. Much like Jack.

I dont think he did say that at all. As far as I know, the bear attack is merely speculation and unconfirmed.

I can't blame YouTubers for clickbait, to be honest. It's a ridiculously tough market on YouTube these days and clickbait is proven to pretty massively increase views. The thing that matters more is the content and that they acknowledge where info they use comes from instead of passing it off as their own.

Definitely! Titles will always NEED to attract the viewer, its simple. I guess the thing is if you dont like them dont watch them

People are not better if they have a small amount of subscribers and they are not worse if they become succesfull. Tell me one smaller Red Dead YouTuber who makes good videos. It seems like you like underdogs more than the ones who actually make good videos and are succesfull.

 

The trend I see today is hating succesfull YouTubers. SaintsFan is one example, he gets a lot of hate, although his Red Dead Videos aren't bad, and sometimes even better than the ones from the smaller YouTubers.

 

EDIT: And yeah, I'm aware of succesfull YouTube channels running bullsh*t content. Just wanted to say that there are some good ones.

At what point did I say I like LegacyKillas videos? I said official news source with actual connections. Ie) kotaku, IGN, etc. Red Bandit is the last one Im going to listen to. Sounds like a 14 year old with a sinus infection.

You "receive the exclusive variation of this weapon". The Double Action Revolver is already seen in trailers and will be in the game for everyone. Everybody who completes the challenge in GTA Online gets a variation of the gun, so probably different color/intarsia/grip.

 

 

Just out of curiosity, on which TV will you be playing?

Right now it’s just a 60” Samsung 1080. I’m already prepping the girl for when BlackFriday rolls around that we’re going to jump to a 70” 4K lol Can’t be playing RDR2 in some blurry 1080
