Well John does vaguely allude to other gang members in RDR. While talking to Ross, he says something like: First it was Bill, then Javier, now Dutch. Then who? Or something like that. To me that says that other gang members are still alive, but not a priority (or not as well known to the public) for John to track them down. Keep in mind that Bill, Javier, and Dutch were all in a close proximity to each other. Ross only cared about wiping out the members that could effect Nate Johns candidacy, so he would not send John off to track down some low level gang member who might have fled to the other side of the country. Not all the new gang members need to die in RDR II

How many missions do you all hope for? Hoping this will be a much bigger story than V or even RDR. I don't know how I'm going to make it to the game release unspoiled. Almost every good story I have seen was spoiled for me.

Maybe the bank robbery that caused the Blackwater massacre in 1906 will be the first mission, but after you get out and escape it goes back in time 7 Years.

 

Similar to gta vs first mission time jump, but it goes back in time. Then the final mission would go back to after you get out in 1906, to finish that mission.

 

It would leave on cliff hanger at the end of the first mission to make you wonder all through the story what has happened/ going to happen and would be clear after the final mission

Yeah, I hope they keep their off kilter missions. I just hope that the main story missions are somewhat defined. I don't want to do a mission and find out I got locked out of a bunch of quest.

American Appetites

Flowers for a Lady (bullsh*t long but the payoff was fine)

I Know You (not sure if we should see the Strange Man again, but I wouldn't mind)

Let No Man Put Asunder

Deadalus and Son

Poppycock

RDR had 57 main missions and I felt the story length was just fine. I know GTAV had more, but a lot of those were heist planning stuff that felt like filler.

About 70 yes minimum 15 mins each mission. And About 30 side missions

I heard ign couldn't tell what was a main mission amd what was a side mission, it seems all "missions" are troggered by talking to camp members.

 

I wonder if they are going down the quest route ala skyrim, talk to so and so and trigger a mission and the more done will trigger the next chapter in the story.

 

This does have me worried as to how many missions we get unless they have scrapped for "dynamic gameplay"

When it comes to missions I wouldn't expect anything less than the first game. They've been working on it for 8 years so we'll probably get even more.

It was interesting, but that mission would glitch out on me occasionally.

When I play the game I want the missions and narrative to remind me of the first game and its events, dont want to have pre conceived memory of it, spoiling the narrative experience in one way or another..

 

So.. is there a general chat or am I blind a bat now?

One last post, I know it doesnt sound spot on to his regular voice. But I feel like hes at a serious part within the story where he is straining his voice a bit to deliver the speech with impact. Perhaps hes in pain at the time of the speech. Perhaps it isnt him at all. We will see in due time my friends! Either way, its wonderful voice acting. Really excited to see this story play out. Prequels usually suck, but the characters of RDR had a lot of mystery linked to their pasts. Im just so curious to learn things like how John really got his scars, how the gang fell apart, how Dutch loses his mind, and what leads them to leave John for dead. Although I hope this is just a portion of the story and the game still proposes other mysteries to intrigue us with the new characters.

John said in rdr1 he got his cars during a bear hunt gone wrong if I remember correctly. Much like Jack.

Attaching myself to this brief topic. Isn't it just the skin you unlock to carry over to RDR2? not the unlocking the gun itself.

However your biggest concern should be those "leaks" especially when it's close to release, as you may not know which leaks are legit and which are lesh*t. Plus after release your bound to be spoiled as it will be all over your newsfeed, reviews, YouTube subscriptions, In here, maybe at your work.

 

I avoid the YouTube comment sections like a plague come the launch of something I'm hyped about. They aint worth reading most of the time anyway but they're always hell when something big comes out.

Nah pre-loading is still very much a thing but the issue with the PS3 and 360 was that they were very easy to hack. That's much more difficult when it comes to PS4 and Xbone so hopefully that's not an issue this time around.

I was very protective about my horse back in RDR 1 but now that he can actually die and won't respawn, muthaf*ckas will get gunned up and clapped quick if they even try to shoot it. That goes for grizzlies and wolves too. I'm not even joking lmao.
